Help Me Get to Washington
I'm here on a rainy day in front of the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.
Did you know that the environment used to be a unifying issue for Americans?
It's hard to imagine today, but it makes sense.
Because there's no such thing as Democratic children or Republican children.
And practically everyone loves nature and wants a clean and healthy environment.
I spent my career as an attorney advocating for children's health and for the environment.
When I'm in Washington in the Trump administration, I'm going to continue to do both.
The two issues are inseparable.
What we do to the environment, we do to ourselves.
The toxic chemicals that pollute our air, our water, our soils, end up in our own bodies.
And they end up in our children's lives.
And they ruin our health in the same way that they ruin nature.
That means that good environmental policy is also good health policy.
We're going to make America healthy again, and that includes our soil, our water, and our bodies.
And let me tell you one other kind of pollution that I'm going to help get rid of.
It's the pollution of our government health agencies by corporate money.
It's called corruption.
When big pharma money, big ag money, big tech money pollutes Washington, D.C.,
it's not long before the chemicals pollute the entire country.
That's going to end when I'm in Washington.
