Manufacturing Method
There are two main methods for making fertilizer from these ingredients:
1. Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF)
This is a quick and effective way to provide nutrients that are easily absorbed by plants.
Ingredients:
Potato peels, onion peels, and balakacida leaves in sufficient quantities.
water (approximately 1 liter for every 1 kg of solid material).
Brown sugar or molasses (optional, to speed up fermentation).
Steps:
Finely chop the balakacida leaves and other ingredients to speed up decomposition.
Place all solid materials in a closed container (bucket or jerry can).
Add water and brown sugar/molasses.
Tightly seal the container and let it ferment for 1-2 weeks. Open the lid occasionally to release any accumulated gas.
Once the fermentation process is complete (no more gas is emitted and the aroma is characteristic of fermentation), strain the solution.
How to use: Dilute POC with water (ratio 1:10, 1 liter of POC to 10 liters of water) before pouring it onto the planting medium
