There are so many new products
that just launched at the drugstore,
affordably priced, namely the CoverGirl Skin Enhancers.
We're trying these today.
e.l.f. launched a new concealer
and it's part of their Soft Glam line.
I cannot wait to try this.
I love their Soft Glam foundation.
NYX has this new Wonder Snatch powder,
this triangular puff that goes with it,
and quite a few other new launches
from e.l.f., NYX, and L'Oreal.
So we're trying it all on today.
Cheers to trying new makeup.
Let's see what's actually worth the money, what's not.
That's all.
Okay, I have put on a little bit of makeup so far.
I've done some sunscreen, primer, foundation.
If you're curious, anything I'm using off camera,
you know what I mean, today, I will link it below.
Because they are not the focus of today's video.
Let's start with the concealer.
So this is the brand new launch,
the e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Concealer.
I obviously grabbed two shades just to try.
I'm thinking I'm gonna be 20 light cool,
so we're gonna start with that and see how it looks.
It says it's got 1% hydrating hibiscus complex,
hyaluronic acid, flexible precision tip wand.
Listen, I saw it and bought this so quickly
because I was like, I need to know if it's good.
I have to say, I actually have not loved
a lot of e.l.f.'s concealers.
Okay, that might be a little,
I think that'll work,
but it looks a little bit warmer than I anticipated,
so maybe I will swatch the other one, 14.
It says it's got a creamy, lightweight feel.
Oh my, can we just get a true neutral here?
That's that one.
Okay, no, so we're definitely gonna go with this one.
For sure, I tend to go for,
instead of a lighter concealer,
I tend to go for one closer to my skin tone.
I just think it looks a little better on me.
I mean, sometimes I like some brightness under the eye,
and I'm curious how this powder will adjust this.
So we're gonna go in with number 20.
So yeah, the doe foot is a little bit flexible.
Nothing like crazy.
So I'm curious now.
Oh, I should've opened this before.
This is the e.l.f. Tap and Blend Concealer Brush.
Look at the shape of that.
I am so curious.
It's very, very soft.
It's a similar shape to ones I already love,
but it's not exactly, so we're gonna see.
I feel like because it's thinner this way,
you can really get in there.
I pretty much exclusively use a concealer brush
to apply or to blend in concealer,
but often at the end, no matter the concealer,
I take my sponge and just kind of like tap off the excess,
like give it that nice look.
Okay, so let's really, really look at this.
So without and with.
I mean, it definitely covered some.
This is a little bit less coverage than I anticipated,
considering their Soft Glam foundation is,
I think has like medium plus coverage, and I just love it,
but it's really, really thin and lightweight,
so it blended in easily.
I want to try this on the other side with maybe my finger.
Let's see how it does with my finger.
Definitely a thin formula.
I've had some like weirdness on my under eye on this side,
like an itchy patch.
It's not like dry, but it's just like bothering me,
so I've been putting like a Cica Skin Barrier Cream on it,
and it's been doing wonders for that area,
but anyway, I'm trying to get to the bottom
of what's like causing it, like what am I?
Okay, so there we go.
It is definitely not the highest coverage concealer
that I have.
Like I'm thinking of the Estee Lauder new one
I'm really enjoying, that one has higher coverage.
This seems closer to the new one from IT Cosmetics
I've really enjoyed, which is a more lightweight,
no more than medium coverage, but it's comfortable.
I feel like it's an easy, breezy option for every day,
especially if you're not feeling
like you do have a lot to conceal.
Definitely moisturizing, so I'm going to want to set this.
You can kind of see the sheen.
So we're definitely gonna set it with this new powder.
Do I wanna do that yet?
No, let's do our eyes first.
I'm gonna keep it simple today.
I know you're so surprised.
I'm just gonna toss on one of my faves.
You guys know, I feel like I talk about this a lot,
this little quad from CoverGirl.
This color over here I think is just so pretty.
It's so shimmery and nice.
And it's kind of like a one and done shadow.
I don't think you really have to,
but sometimes I'll use some of the other colors
in the crease.
But it's just like a kind of nice color
for the winter months, at least where I live.
Just like a sheer wash of a shimmer I think is so pretty.
Of course, I'm picturing the snow in the background.
Then for eyeliner, I have this new,
this is so interesting to me.
It's the NYX Epic Inky Stix.
Look at this.
I am so curious.
So it says it's a cream gel liner.
It's waterproof.
The second I saw that, I was like,
that looks really interesting to me.
So it seems that, yeah, it's a,
okay, it's, I thought you spin it up,
but you do the bottom.
Oh my gosh, almost like a liquid,
but it definitely is more like a gel.
I don't know how to explain this, you guys.
It's definitely a pencil,
but it is so creamy and gel-like
that it works almost as easily as a liquid liner,
but with maybe a little more control
because you can probably smudge it a bit.
I am so curious about this.
So how do we wanna do this?
Let's see.
Ooh, and because of the shape,
you can really tightline with it
because you can just turn it sideways
because, I don't know if I showed that to you,
it's just got this very thin shape to it.
I feel like I'm gonna go through this quickly though.
So yeah, you can do a very, very thin line.
I'm curious, can I put this in the waterline?
Also curious, can you blend it?
You know what I mean?
Like, let's try.
Yeah, I think you can.
I think, my guess is it's gonna dry down in a minute,
but I was able to kinda blend it,
make it look a little more,
I mean, blended, what I was, honestly.
I mean, it's just like a quick, quick way to do it.
I am enjoying this application
because I feel like oftentimes
with some of my favorite liners,
I, you know, you sharpen it
and it'll stay in place really well,
but I'm always, it's always too thick of a point.
And so then I'm kind of blending it,
doing damage control, whatever.
And with this, because I can get it so thin,
and the other option, of course,
out there is like those really micro ones
that are like the 0.5 millimeter, whatever it is.
And those are great, but this might be better.
It's very intuitive to use.
Maybe that's part of it,
is that it does feel intuitive to use.
Oh my gosh, this is so cool.
So I don't even feel like I really need to blend that in.
I'm going to anyway, since I did it on this side,
just to kind of get it into my tight line area,
into the lashes.
I just feel like that makes it look even more seamless.
Once you put mascara on, it's like it's all one,
but it's staying in the waterline pretty well up above.
That's usually where I put it.
So I'd be curious.
I will definitely put some wear notes down below.
So there's some struggles with this website
you're watching this on,
where they make it really hard to find products
I'm talking about or the description box.
So you can see when I link things through
like YouTube shopping, you can see those products,
like on the screen, it'll like pop up and say,
shop the product she's mentioning.
However, there are only so many brands
and websites on there.
And so a lot of times there are certain things
I'm talking about that I can't link on there
because they're not available,
but I can link in my regular description box,
but they've made it so, so impossible
to find the description box.
I'll get comments over and over again,
like I don't see the link for this thing.
And it's because I can't link it on YouTube,
but it's there.
You just can't find the description box.
So I always have it in a pinned comment.
I always have it.
If you click, especially like if you're watching
on your phone or your iPad,
if you click the title of the video,
it should open the description box.
It's really hard to kind of get to it.
But when you do, then you'll be like, okay.
Usually if you can't find the link, that's where it is.
So it doesn't really pertain to any of this stuff today,
but I'm just sharing that in case you were curious
because they have made some changes
and I get a lot of comments asking where something is.
So, all right.
So I ended up throwing a little bit of that pink
from the CoverGirl in the crease,
just to kind of finish it up.
Essence Wow Brow in the brows.
And then I use the Lancome Monsieur Big for the mascara.
So I want to put a little more concealer.
I'm finding that I feel like I want
a little bit more coverage under there.
So we're going to do just like one dot there.
I'm going to tap it in with my finger
just because I'm craving a little bit more.
Okay.
I think that amped it up just a little bit.
I might actually put a little on my nose too,
just because, you know, nose is always peeking through.
But I'm also curious, like how does it wear on the face?
Why don't we put a little there too?
There've been a couple of concealers I've tried
over the past year that I realized
I don't like on the under eye, but I love on the face.
So yeah, that looks, that looks nice.
So, okay, let's set the under eye now
with the new NYX Wonder Snatch.
This packaging looks so interesting to me.
Okay. So it twists off and then, okay.
So I peeled that off and there it is.
You can close it.
So that's open.
Okay. And then you can close it.
Nice. All right.
Like the packaging.
And we're also going to use the powder puff
that NYX sells that I think is meant to be used
with this.
This is very soft.
So this more angled side is for setting the under eye.
Absolutely. That is amazing.
And then the less pointed side is for like overall face.
So let's do this.
Try and figure out how best.
I actually use a powder puff for setting my eye,
under eye most of the time.
So I've got some on there.
I like to like take it and kind of blend it in,
make it a little more even before I go in.
Okay. Can you see the difference?
I certainly can.
I mean, definitely more blurred.
Looks pretty good.
It even looks pretty good here where that's where I feel
like that transition from like the darkness of my under eye
to my nose and stuff can look a little weird.
I mean, that looks pretty smooth.
So let's do the other side.
I've been really enjoying the L'Oreal blur powder for this,
but I'm always down to try a new one,
see what else is out there.
And I mean, this is definitely really blurring.
I'm going to take a little brush and just kind of brush away
if there's any excess, you know, just sitting there.
I mean, I think that looks pretty good.
I definitely have found now that I'm, you know,
I'm in my mid thirties.
I've definitely found that setting my under eye
helps me a lot.
It helps me a lot because the concealer is becoming more
of a important step in my makeup routine.
If I'm taking the time to do my makeup,
concealer is something I don't skip
and powdering it has also become a necessity
just with fine lines and smiling and you know how it is.
So I'm enjoying that.
We might try a little bit on the face.
Honestly, we can do that now
because we'll put on the powder and stuff,
the powder, bronzer and blush.
And I want to be able to put that on.
And I don't like putting bronzer and powder directly
on my face without setting a little bit most of the time.
So I don't have a bunch on there.
I just wanted a little bit and we'll just,
I'm gonna kind of set the middle of my forehead,
but also just bring a little of the leftover powder
out here just to set it a little bit.
I've definitely leaned into powdering most of my face,
which I didn't always do.
And then using a setting spray,
that's just gonna kind of melt it all together at the end.
I think that kind of gives you the best of both worlds
where it won't look so powdery,
but the powder is adding a little more longevity,
maybe to your face, et cetera.
So, okay, this is the part I was the most excited about.
These right here, the CoverGirl Skin Enhancers.
I have Honey Bun, that's the bronzer shade I picked out.
And then Rose Latte.
How gorgeous are these?
So my guess is that these are going to be very similar
to like the Hourglass powders,
which have been around of course for a long time
and they're probably four times the price of this.
So that's, that's that one swatched.
And then Rose Latte, that is definitely my kind of shade.
So these aren't as like luminous maybe
as I thought they might be.
There's definitely a little bit of luminosity to it,
but it's not overpowering in a good way.
Sometimes these can really lean into being almost sparkly
or like overly shimmery.
And especially for me, what I want in a bronzer,
I don't mind there to be that little bit of luminosity,
but I don't want it to look super glowy like that.
So, let me decide what I'm gonna use for this.
I mean, that's looking nice.
Powder bronzer is, I am a very harsh critic
of powder bronzer because I don't know what it is
about the tone of my skin, but it can look,
so many powder bronzers look awful on me.
A, I'm not a professional makeup artist.
So I'm applying it the best I know how.
And sometimes if it's way too pigmented
or the color is way wrong on me, it looks muddy.
It looks crazy.
Like, but products like this that are so forgiving
that I can just kind of go ham applying it
and it can still look that nice.
Like, come on.
Ooh, okay, do you guys remember the L'Oreal Lumi Bronzet?
One of you guys just said, like commented to me about that,
like, you know, talking about those products
and are there like replacements for that out there?
This is reminding me a lot of that.
I literally just had to take a second to remind myself,
like, is this L'Oreal?
And maybe they just took that formula.
But this, that one wasn't like a marbleized baked thing.
It was a little bit different, but I loved that.
But this is really giving those vibes.
But I think even less shimmery, again, in a good way.
I think that looks really nice.
So let's try the blush.
I'm so excited.
I thought these might be good,
but I'm excited that they actually seem to be.
That is my kind of blush.
Come on.
Yes.
Oh my gosh.
I am so excited.
Wow.
All right, we have a lip product to try as well.
And then I'll kind of do a quick overview of like,
what are the top couple picks
that I already think are really good,
that if you were in need of something new.
But first, we're gonna try Elf's
before I open it all the way.
This is their Glow Reviver Shine Stick or,
oh, it's lipstick.
I am working on my next dupes video.
I do these every couple times a year.
I have a feeling some of these,
I need to test side by side with some other things.
Some of these may be on it, maybe not.
We'll see.
So it's a really pretty, like, balmy lipstick.
I'm gonna wipe off the lip balm I have on.
I'm gonna put this on as it is,
but I know that I'm gonna end up
wanting a lip liner with it,
especially this color being like more pink.
So the shade I have, by the way, is Love Slick.
I get it.
Ooh, it smells good.
It smells like peach or like mango or something like that.
It smells really nice.
Getting me excited for summer.
Got a long way to go.
Okay, I don't love this color pink on me per se.
However, the formula is really dreamy.
I've tried a lot of these products,
even from like higher end brands that are like thinner.
There's a little bit of color,
but they're either way too like almost goopy.
And it can look nice, but with this kind of a product,
this is more what I'm wanting.
So I'm definitely going to try another color.
Although, I mean, I don't think this pink looks terrible.
I just, it's not usually what I go for,
but I am enjoying this formula already.
It doesn't have that minty tingle
that everything seems to have.
It's kind of nice to get a break from that.
It's funny.
My little girls will get into my makeup drawer
and they'll look at the like lip gloss
and they're like, can I put one on?
Can we put one on?
And I'm looking and I'm like,
most of these have like a tingle
and I'm not putting that on their lips.
So I'm like, I have to pick it.
I'm like, I only have a handful of products that don't.
So it's kind of refreshing to have products
and new launches that aren't that like tingle plump,
all of that kind of stuff.
It has its place, but you know what I mean.
This really came together.
Okay, you already know what my top picks are.
These, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh.
I cannot wait to get ready tomorrow to use these again.
The lip, no, no, the eyeliner.
I really enjoyed that application.
I feel like it's staying really well.
I will have where notes for all of this down below.
Like I said, in the pinned comment,
in the description box, if you click the title,
you'll be able to find it.
The concealer jury is out.
I don't think it's bad.
I've tried many concealers that when I try it,
I'm like, no, right off the bat.
I don't really have any direct complaints.
I think I just crave a little more coverage,
but I want to play with this some more
before giving my final thoughts.
I always do, every other month, my like reviews video
where I quickly go through all the things I've tried
and give you my like final reviews.
I really like the NYX powder.
And I have to say, I really like the shape of this.
You know, if you already have an under eye powder
that you love, I don't think you have to have this.
I think it's really, really good,
but it might not be better than what you already have.
But I really like the shape of this.
This could be the game changer for you.
So love that.
Really enjoy the formula of the e.l.f.
Slipstick, what else?
The e.l.f. concealer brush was nice.
I don't, again, I don't have any direct complaints.
If you are wanting a brush for concealer,
this could be great for like concealing
small parts of your face as well.
I'm excited to try this with concealers
I already know and love to see how I like it,
but I think it's pretty good.
This was a good round, huh?
This was, we've had some here or there.
If you want to see my recent affordable makeup video,
I do these every other month, sometimes every month.
It just depends on how many new launches there are.
So we're always testing out new makeup here.
