Lewis Capaldi - Headspace (Live) REACTION
What's going on, everybody? Welcome back to the channel.
I'm Steven. This is Steven Instereo.
And in today's video, we are diving into a live performance
of the song Headspace from Lewis Capaldi.
I don't think I've ever heard this track before.
So I'm super excited to dive in.
And of course, a live setting with a vocal like this.
Come on. Before we get to today's video, I'm going to ask you guys
to like the video, subscribe to the channel,
follow me over on Instagram at Steven Instereo.
And of course, I want to give a huge shout out to Hannah
over on Patreon for requesting this.
Thank you so much.
I'm so stoked to dive into this. So let's go.
Damn.
That voice always gets me.
Beautiful.
It's done.
In here.
If you got some
enough for me.
****.
Sing me a song
and send me to sleep.
Sleeping on my headspace
while I dream.
Spin me around,
wrap it up
around me.
The dirt
I turn ash, my friend.
Can I just say that to him, having his eyes closed to this entire performance
to me hits even harder emotionally, because I feel like he's literally
like just going into this song, like he's feeling every one of these emotions.
And I think that comes out with a artist like him.
It comes out in the vocals so ******* perfectly.
Well, you're only bloody poison.
I know it hurts you all with your rage.
And I'm sure
it ain't hard to see.
You're more than I'll ever hurt.
And more than I'll ever be.
I don't know how he sings like so naturally and comfortably in that range.
I know it's a little late.
What's up? It was never great, but I'm calling.
But dear.
Where does that come from?
I just wanted to let you know
that I won't bother you anymore.
I'll be gone.
This time next year.
And all that vibrato is so haunting.
Have you got time enough for me?
Sing me a song
and send me to sleep.
Sleeping on my head space
while I dream.
Spend me a year,
rob me of all my dreams.
I have to hit that note again.
I'm so sorry. That is *******.
Oh, it's perfect. It's literally perfect.
Make sure I go back far enough.
Sing me a song
and send me to sleep.
Sleeping on my head space
while I dream.
Spend me a year,
rob me of all my dreams.
Have you got time enough for me?
Sing me a song
and send me to sleep.
I never thought that a lie
God damn.
Could sound so sweet
until you opened your mouth
and you said you loved me.
Oh, my God.
Literally cheek goosebumps.
**** me.
I never knew a like it sounds so sweet
until you said you love me.
Just kill me right ******* now.
Also, this is like the perfect space
for someone like Lewis Capaldi.
I feel like these vocals
are so ******* strong
and natural at the same time.
It's this natural, soulful sound
that comes from the pits of his chest
and honestly deep into his cardiac cavity,
because in my personal opinion,
it's like every one of his emotions
are tuned into these notes.
And like I've said this
about other artists before,
but like there are only a handful of artists
that can really match that emotion
and do it in a way where,
let's be honest,
as much as I love having the guitar here,
this could have been a complete
acapella performance.
And we wouldn't have even noticed
that the guitar was missing
because Lewis just does so many things
with his voice that it's incredible.
It's this beautiful instrument of its own,
though it is also this carrier of pain
and this carrier of sadness.
I feel like that vulnerability
and ---- comes out to life.
So cool here.
But I just love these vibratos.
It's so cool to hear him
get this raspy note
and then turn it into something so haunting.
But at the same time,
make it feel like one note
was an entire verse of lines
at the same time.
I just like I can't get over that.
And every time I see him perform,
it's always something similar to that,
which I think is really cool.
I love these heartfelt performers like this.
Like I ******* wish
that I could do ---- like this
because you're writing from the heart
and then you're delivering the message
and like, you know,
I feel like the messenger
when it's straight from the heart,
it hits different.
Yes, there are artists
that can sing a song
that was written by somebody else.
But I just feel like with Lewis,
at least from my understanding,
is he writes his music.
And what's really cool about that
is you do feel that.
It's like, yes, you can hear the notes.
Yes, you can hear the words.
You can hear all these things,
but you can feel it.
And like that auditory experience
that gives you a full physical feeling
by the end, those last couple words,
I've got goosebumps on my cheek.
That is pure magic in music,
and I ******* love Lewis for that.
So I want to give a huge shout out
to Hannah over on Patreon
for actually requesting this video.
Thank you so much.
This is absolutely a beautiful moment.
