Orcas vs Humpback Whales and Dolphins in San Diego! 10/16/25

Killer Whale Extended Search Mission off San Diego with Gone Whale Watching was a roaring success! When we left the dock we did so with a mission: orcas or bust. Our favorite group of ETP killer whales had been sighted late the afternoon before, which meant our odds were much better than a typical whale watching day in San Diego. Captain Tai took Hana Hou with 20 guests to the north in the last reported direction of travel, while I ran a dedicated scout and filming boat to the south with Erica Kyle, since these ETP orcas spend most of their time south of San Diego.
