Lisianthus has a reputation for being difficult, but in my experience it’s just slow — and once you understand how it grows, it becomes much easy to do. In this video, I’m walking through how I grow lisianthus from seed, when to plant it out, and how it performs both in the garden and in containers.

Lisianthus is often treated as a florist flower, but it can work beautifully in home gardens as well — especially if you’re looking for something elegant, long-blooming, and deer resistant.

I’m using a Barrina seed-starting setup in this video for consistent light, but the same principles apply to any good grow-light system.
