The 22News Storm Team has issued a Weather Alert for tonight into Monday morning for freezing rain that will make for icy conditions. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of western Massachusetts until 6 a.m. Monday for freezing rain.
Good Sunday evening. Freezing rain tonight will make for very slippery conditions, especially on untreated surfaces. Temperatures will gradually rise overnight and the freezing rain will change to plain rain Monday morning. Lows will be in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees this evening but will rise into the low to mid 30s Monday morning.
Hello, I'm 22 News Storm Team
meteorologist Adam Sto with your
overnight video forecast. Winter weather
advisory remains in effect for all of
Western Massachusetts for that freezing
rain. That will stay in effect until
6:00 a.m. As we head through the
overnight hours, temperatures will rise
and that freezing rain will change to
plain rain. And then as we head through
the day tomorrow, rainy, especially the
first half of the day, breezy and mild
temperatures warming up, upper 40s,
maybe even reaching 50° before they
really drop off tomorrow night and
Tuesday. Partly sunny, windy, and cold
on Tuesday with highs only in the upper
20s. So for tonight, that freezing rain
gradually changing over to rain.
Temperatures 28 to 34, but they'll be
rising through the 30s and eventually
into the 40s tomorrow morning. Then
tomorrow, cloudy. That rain, especially
first half of the day, breezy and mild.
High temperatures 46 to 50. 22 News
Storm Team 7-day forecast. Partly sunny,
windy and cold on Tuesday. 28 degrees
Wednesday, mostly cloudy, breezy in the
lower 30s. And there could be some
flurries and snow showers late in the
day. And as we head into New Year's Eve,
it's cold. New Year's Eve, 16°, dry for
New Year's Day, partly sunny Thursday,
25 degrees. So it will be cold, partly
sunny Friday, 26. And then Saturday and
Sunday look dry, partly sunny with
temperatures upper 20s to right around
30°. That's the way it looks from here
for now. Your next forecast, Monday
morning at 4:30 a.m. with 22 New Storm
Team meteorologist Chris Bazakis.
