I'm Emily Sadal. I'm 22 years old and
I'm the owner of Browneyed Quilter. Here
it is.
>> Wow. So, this is the Browney Quilter HQ.
>> Yeah. This is my 12T APQS longarmm
quilting machine.
>> And what's going on over here?
>> This is my cutting station, my rulers,
and like all the thread and bobbins that
I need.
>> All right. So, you think you can show me
what's going on here? Show me how to
quilt today?
>> Yeah.
>> A longarmm quilting machine is a sewing
machine on steroids. It's built for
larger, more intricate projects than
most sewing machines. For everyone
watching at home, this thing
legitimately is as big as a car. This
thing is massive. So, I've already set
this one up. So, we have the backing is
attached to these two bars. And you can
see it little bit is underneath. And
then we have the batting that goes in
the middle. And we put that in between
the two layers. And then the quilt top
is on the top. And this is the part that
we see and can actually work with,
right? essentially right now is we have
a quilt sandwich.
>> Yep, that's what they call it, a quilt
sandwich. Backing and then the middle is
the batting and the top.
>> Okay.
>> So, for this design, we're going to
stitch across and down on each of these
squares to make like a little half
circle. And then we'll keep doing that
all the way down the quilt.
>> So, how are you controlling this right
now?
>> So, my machine has these buttons right
here on each of the handles. And the
down will start the machine running. And
then the up button just lifts the needle
up and down. So when I start the
machine, it's um stitch regulated. So
however fast I go is how fast the
machine will stitch.
>> Wow.
>> It's harder than it looks. All right.
It's a lot harder than it looks. What I
love most about my business is I feel
like I can help people take their quilt
tops and turn them into a memory. Lots
of people have these, you know, lying
around for years, never able to finish
them, and I can turn that into something
they can use and love. Having the
computer system has really helped. I
call it my first employee because it
does all of the stitching, and that
frees up my time to do things like
emailing clients, marketing, taking
stuff to the post office, setting up and
working on other quilts, and things like
that.

Hey you guys, this Aldo here from
BragerU. We are um here with Emily
Sadal, one of the entrepreneurs on our
latest show, The Hustle. And they have
chickens here. Uh Emily graciously
offered me some of these farm fresh
chicken eggs. And I just couldn't wait.
I love eggs and I thought, why not eat
one right away? Get the goods straight
from it. So, here we go.

That is disgusting.
>> Good protein, everybody. Remember, eat
your eggs, get your protein in, and
watch the hustle.
