Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Costumes Throughout the Ages

This video showcases traditional Chinese costumes throughout the ages, including those of ethnic minorities, using noble families as the primary example.

It covers major historical periods from the Pre-Qin era through the Western Han, Eastern Han to Wei–Jin dynasties, Northern and Southern Dynasties, Tang dynasty, Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Song dynasty, Liao and Jin dynasties, Western Xia, Yuan dynasty, Ming dynasty, and Qing dynasty.

Thousands of years of costume evolution are condensed into 502 seconds, with the presentation segmented by dynasties and aligned with key changes in dress styles.

Each segment subjectively selects representative examples from its period, displaying individual costumes from specific points in time. These examples do not fully represent all the costume characteristics of each dynasty, but serve as visual references to illustrate historical change.
