Watch Kevin Jonas face off with his super fan, Paige, in the competitive game of Fan vs. Artist Trivia. Paige was our lucky fan selected to see if she knows more trivia about Kevin than Kevin knows about himself. Can YOU get all the questions right?
Kevin has been married to his wife Danielle for 15 years, but where did they first meet?
You break our bell. What's up friends? It's your girl Emily Kerl here at iHeartRadio Studios
in New York City and we're joined by Kevin Jonas who's joining us today. Show some love for Kevin.
We are so excited to have you here. Thank you. You are completing the fan versus artist universe
for the Jonas Brothers. Check it off the box. So this is really exciting. We're going to get into
this game, but before we do, let me start with a congratulations. Oh, thanks. Changing is out,
your first solo single. How are you feeling today? Feeling really good. It's wild to think
that I have a song out. I was laying in bed last night staring at the ceiling being like,
this is a real thing that's happened. This is really weird. 20 years of like making music,
trying to make songs that feel like me and then took this long for me to feel good about it and
feel like I had the right song. But here we are. It was crazy. I was thinking about this morning
where it's like for the career that you've had, it's rare that you ever have a first experience.
You know, that's a really good way of looking at it. It definitely is a very much a first experience
inside of a very long career. Exactly. Yeah. Why now? Why did now feel like the right time?
Honestly, it's about the song. Our really good friend Jason Navigand wrote, sent me the song
in June. I wrote him in February and asked him, do you have any songs that you feel like might
really work for me? We just finished filming this Christmas movie that just came out and
part of the storyline is that I want to sing a little bit more in the film.
And I think maybe it just inspired me to like maybe get into it. Well, he responded to me in
June. Wrote him in February, responded to me in June with the song. He goes, I think I found it
for you. And I was like, oh my God. And I listened and I knew it was the one. You know, what about
that song personally resonated with you? I think it's just, I feel like a lot of people can connect
with it, right? You know, we all go through changes. We all change in our life. We've always
thought about the people we may be, but we never really became those people or it's different than
we expected. And I think you have to go through the flow. And I think we have to, like myself,
if we don't, I say it in the bridge of the song, you know, you know, I would die if I stayed the
same. And it's true though. If we just stay the same people, we're never going to be actually
anything special. So we just keep moving. Yeah, exactly. You're right. And so relatable too.
I think we all can feel that. It was funny that you mentioned that because I was curious from the
movie because it did feel a little bit like Art Imitates Life. It definitely did. And it was all
happening around the same time. So yeah. So it really did feel like an extra personal thing.
Exactly. Well, we have a lot to get into today. We're so excited to have you here.
I'm going to win this game. Are you feeling good? I'm coming from Nick and Joe.
Is there, there is a score. There is a score. And I'm going to tell you this. So
Joe won his fan versus artist. Of course you do. Nick lost his fan versus artist. That also shows.
The Jonas Brothers and you guys all came, which was like, we were saying a long time ago,
many, many years ago, you guys won. Oh, okay. So right now it is technically two to one.
So this fan could tie it up where it'd be the Jonas Brothers two fans too. So this is going to
be big. I'm not going to throw it. Good. I like that energy. Do you think that you know more about
yourself than your super fan knows? Probably not. I've been being honest with you. Um, maybe I know
a lot of stuff, but I feel like I might, they probably know more. I'm going to be honest.
I met. Or they know things that are, they think they know are true. Ooh. Can't I just be like,
that's wrong? No, you know what? We fact checked it. You can't. Okay. But who thinks, and that's
from the internet and you know everything there. Everything you read on the internet is true,
exactly. I met your super fan before. Okay. She's fantastic. And she's ready to go.
She is. She's competitive. She's going to win. Are we all ready to meet? All right,
let's welcome him. Are you ready to lose? I'm ready to win. I feel like you're going to,
well, we're going to find out. We'll see. You have been a long time fan. You're from,
you're from Jersey, right? You're from? I'm from Long Island. Were you there last night?
I was there last night. And at both Jersey shows. And you have been, you said how many shows now?
Over 20? Yeah. Something like 25 shows. I've been to 25 shows. Oh my gosh. No way. Maybe
more. Maybe we've been at the same ones. That's crazy. Um, and you have been a Jonas Brothers
fan for forever, a Kevin fan for forever. What is it? What does that mean to you? It's
really special to me. It's, your music has been something that's just been such
a constant in my life when, you know, life gets crazy. And I like having discovered you guys when
I was so young and the It's About Time album was coming out to now and being here when changing and
releasing like, that's just really cool and really special. It means a lot. It's a weird thing. We
think about it a lot. We're like, we make music and we do it, but then once we put it out, we
always say that, you know, it's yours now. And so like, you know, for now it feels that way for the
song that I created, which is really cool. I know when you were saying how much of a fan you are
of changing. Yeah. It's so good. Congratulations. Thanks. I'm really excited for people to hear it.
Oh, I love this. Okay. This is good. This is, this is really nice already. Now it's time we
get a little meaner. So I need to win. All right. So this is, here we go. So the way this game works
is we have two rounds and we're going to start with the first one, which is the tablet round.
As you have your tablets in front of you. Um, this is five questions. Five questions. I'm going to
ask you a question. You write your answer as simple as that. And then we're going to turn
around and show the camera. If you get that, are you going through the iPad? No, it's not operating
correctly. Um, and I didn't do it. I swear. If you get this right, you each get a point as simple
as that. Okay. Easy. The rules get a little more challenging the second round, but so we're not
like trying to like, it's not timed. It's not timed. Take your time with this one. All right.
Tablet rounds. Here we go. Are y'all ready? Are you feeling good? All right. Question one.
What stadium did Kevin first perform his debut solo single changing? We had to start easy for
you guys. Okay. What stadium did Kevin first perform his debut solo single changing? All
right. Let's show the cameras in three, two page. You said Fenway. Fenway Park. It was Fenway Park,
which first off what an iconic place. I know really, really, uh, really good way to start it
off. You know, no pressure. I heard you say you were a little bit nervous about it though.
Extremely nervous. Take me back to that moment. No, it was wild. You know, being able to do the
song first, like I remember doing soundcheck that day. I looked at Alexis here and I was like,
okay, so I'm doing this thing. She goes, yeah. And it's going to be great. And I just kept hearing
in her, my head, like everyone's just like, you got this, you got this. But like, if they would
have said like, you know, you know, take your time. I would have been way more nervous, but
I could, I pretty much blacked out during the performance. I don't actually remember doing it.
Really? You're just like, I know what happened. I didn't know that there was, uh, the
cold spark fire thing behind me. No, no. Didn't know it happened. I watched the video later. I
was like, that happened. What did, what did Joe and Nick think about, about that? I think they
thought I did a good job. Um, you have to ask them next time you're here. Um, but you know,
I think this, the love and support that they've given for the whole time has been great. And we're
all here for each other's music and everything that we're doing. Well, that's amazing. All right.
So you guys each get a point for that one. Let's go question two. Okay. Gets a little tougher.
What was the month, day, and year the Jonas Brothers released their debut album? It's About
Time. It's About Time. The month, the day, and the year. Yep. And we can't take any half answers.
You have to get all three correct. What is, I love being in charge. What is the month, day,
and year the Jonas Brothers released their debut album? It's About Time. Okay. I think I may be,
I may be off by a couple of days, so I'm not sure. This is wild. Okay. You're ready to show
the cameras in three, two, Paige, you said? August 10, 2006. Kevin, you said? 12th. Is it the 10th?
It's the 8th. Oh my God. That was close. No, it was that the tour started this year. I knew it
was something like that. You had onesie in mind. I don't know why we like August so much. You know
so we had albums come out like eight, nine, 10, 11, and 12, and we've all started tours at the
same, it's convoluted. But you know what I say, I am really impressed that you guys were actually
this close. We're within a reasonable range. Nobody lost. I was closer. We went in spirit.
I love that. Here you go, question three. What team was Kevin on in the 2007 Disney Channel Games?
What team was Kevin on in the 2007 Disney Channel Games? All right, let's show the camera in
getting fancy with it. Three, two, Kevin, you said? Yellow. Yellow. And we get a little fancy
there. Hey man, I am an artiste. I thought you are. I'm really getting into this. All right,
we each get a point for that one. All right, question four. How many views does this sucker
music video have on YouTube? On YouTube? And you can round to the nearest million.
How many views does this sucker music video have on YouTube? I think we're wrong. Are y'all sure?
Are y'all sure? I have no idea. I was trying to study. To be honest with you, I haven't watched
it in a while. You're not all of those views? No. All right, let's show, are we locked in on
the answers? I'm guessing in this range, but I don't know. You locked in, babe? I'm locked in.
All right, let's show the camera in three, two, Paige, you said? 413 million. Kevin, you said?
400 million. Is it the closest to the number? It's 423 million. Oh, I thought you were so close.
I think she wins because she was closer. She doesn't. She's got to get it right. That's 10
million. Come on, Paige. How can you admit that? I knew it was in the 400s though. No,
actually, I'm actually impressed with y'all's numbers game. This is good. 423, huh? All right,
so no one gets a point for that one. I'm going to get that 500 people. Come on.
All right, this is the last question. We don't know if she had about anything.
I know, right? All right, here we go. In a very Jonas Christmas movie. Okay, topical.
Now we're back. The Jonas Brothers get on a train to Paris, but end up in this city instead.
Easy. See, we had to mix them in for you guys. All right, let's show the camera in three, two,
Paige, you said? Amsterdam. Amsterdam. It's Amsterdam. You have cool handwriting. Thank
you. I've never corrected how I held a pen when I was a kid. How do you hold it? Like this. Oh,
interesting. But the writing is cool. It's like bubble letters meets trendy. I mean, that's also
just the font. No, no, no, no. I love how into the iPads you are. I wasn't expecting this. The
colors, the handwriting. You're getting fancy there. By the way, the movie is amazing. Thank
you so much. Appreciate it. What's your favorite part of the film? I have to be sentimental in
that last song, Time at the End. It's a special moment. It's really special. It felt really weird
filming it. It felt like super corny. It was also the first day of filming, so like we hadn't
first day. So we really started with a bang. Get everyone you know in one room and film together
as a family. And then Joe had to do a kissing scene in the movie with everyone. And we've
just met this person. Chloe was great, though. It was quite the day. It's kids on set. It was
a long one. Well, that's what I love so much about the movie. It felt like such a family affair. How
much fun was it to do this project in particular? It was really good. So special. We've always wanted
to do a Christmas film. People are like, why'd you guys do this? And we're like, we actually always
wanted to. And it was early days, like back, you know, 20 years, 15 years ago working with Disney.
We were like, this is something we would love to do. It didn't really manifest itself then, but
it did now. And we kind of like are recycling a lot of relationships now with Disney with
Camp Rock 3 coming out. It's a whole thing. Can you tell us anything about that? No. I didn't
think so, but you know I had to ask. No, I can say that the new generation is incredible. We're
so excited to be passing the torch. Yeah. You know, it's going to be special. I love it. And the last
thing I have to ask you is, you talked about all the amazing cameos. Will Ferrell is in the film.
Casual. Pretty, you know, king of Christmas himself, you know. How did that come about?
Nick was in a film with him, and he was asked to be, to do like a cameo in his film.
It's kind of a trade-off. Nick was the call to him, and he immediately said yes, which was so
incredible. And then having his sons in there, and by the way, like his sons are super talented as well,
and yeah, it's all pretty cool. Oh, I love it. It was amazing. Okay, so we each get a point for that
one. So 2-2, right? Oh, 3-3. Okay, all right. So Paige with 3, Kevin with 3. All right, we are now
down to our lightning round. Ready. All right, so the way this round works is we're going to put 45
seconds on the clock. Okay. I'm going to ask the question. You have to wait until I'm done asking
the question. The first one to hit the bell gets to answer first. I apologize in advance if I smack
your hand. That's okay. Paige is ready. So the way it works, whoever, you know, obviously you get
to answer the question. If you get it right, you get a point, but if you get it wrong, the other
person gets a chance to steal. Oh, steal. So we get, okay. So it's in your best interest. You're
caught. Oh, okay. I was closer on those wrong answers last time. Yes, you were, you were. Oh, there we go,
Paige. Talk a little smack. All right, lightning round. 45 seconds. Here we go. Question one.
In Camp Rock, what was the name of the character that Kevin played? Oh, that was close. Jason.
It was his last name. There's never been a last name. Yeah, there is. Do I have to say the last
name? Yeah. Jason, definitely not. In Camp Rock? Yep. According to the internet. No idea. Paige,
do you know? That would be Jason Gray. It's Jason Gray! You're brothers with Shane Gray. Here's the problem.
We're not brothers in the film. Wait. Look at, watch the movie. There's this alluded thing that
we're brothers. We're not brothers. Mandela effect. Yeah. Are you sure? Are you sure, Kevin? Positive.
Positive. We're not brothers. Wait, the way I just went nuts for Paige. You know what? In my heart,
you got that point, too. You know what? It's okay. We'll give it to you. No, no, you cleared up.
There's a lore in the first film. Is there a lore? In the first film. Oh, duh, we're Connect Three
connected. You met at the camp. Yeah, we met at the camp. Wait, so you actually don't have a last
name. That's crazy. Wait, but the internet said Gray. My point. Internet. Because everything you
read on the internet is true, people. Yeah, obviously. Oh my god, wow. I cannot believe. The lore is maybe.
Or maybe not. But we never really say, and then we don't really know. I cannot believe we just
uncovered a conspiracy theory today. That's a conspiracy theory. I did not see this happening.
Internet, fix it. Someone's going to get what I have. Okay, wow. Okay, so actually Kevin gets a point.
All right, here we go. Ready for question two. Okay. Kevin has been married to his wife Danielle
for 15 years, but where did they first meet? You break our bell. All right.
The question's wrong. Are you 16? I have been married longer than that, yes. No. Yeah, 2009,
16, going 17 years. That said. Wait, and your anniversary's about to come up, right?
19th, December, yeah. And that's 17? We met in the Bahamas. Atlantis. Special place. I love that
you're just showing up all of our questions. You're just providing all the extra context.
Gotta get them right. What do you guys do on your anniversary typically? Play a show. No,
I'm just kidding. I have a night off. We, last year, I don't remember what we did last year,
but she always does something, but this year she told me, she's like, you're not planning it this
and my lovely team said, no, you can't do that. Your wife has already done something and you have
to be in New York. I was like, oh, because I have a show, but we're between two shows and we're in
Canada. We're in Montreal. And so I was like, let's go to Quebec city. Have you ever been to
Quebec city for Christmas? No. It's an hour flight. Go. I know I need to, I need to go. Can
we crash your anniversary? Come on down. It's, you need to go. Now, do you like surprises? No.
Okay. So this is going to be big for you. It's fine.
I will love it. Whatever she plans, but I don't like surprises. Okay. Okay. I like to be prepared.
I can't wait to hear back how this goes. Um, okay. So Kevin gets a point for that one. All
right, here we go. Next question. Sorry Paige. It's okay. I hope we didn't break the bell.
It's even Kevin's cheating. I think. Which celebrity, well,
which celebrity did Kevin along with his brothers, Nick and Joe go golfing with in
August, 2021 with the celebrity was guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel live.
You don't know? You know this. We're talking golf. Was it Nile? It was Nile.
I gave you that one. I was like, you knew in your heart. Well, well, way to put,
put those pieces together. Thank you. Thank you. That was great. That day was,
yeah. Yeah. How was that day? You ever watched that? They made us drink and play golf and then
spin around. We, it was really rough. Do you remember that day? Parts of it. It's a bit fuzzy.
Oh man. Is Nile a good golfer? Great golfer. Who's the, of your brothers, who's the best? Nile
and Nick are, are pretty much close in handicap. Um, they can compete pretty much together. I,
I'm not as good as Nick. I like it as much, but just not as good. Who's the worst of all of you?
And you can add Jimmy in there too. Uh, I don't really know who's the worst. Everyone's got their
skills. It was, no, but in general, like it's, it's, golf is, no one's good at golf. You know
who's good at golf? My daughter's good at golf. Is she? She wants to be a golfer. Really? Yeah.
Wow. She's very good. Who did, did she, how did she get into it? Golfing with me. And then she
has lessons like twice a week. She has her own thing. It's insane. Wow. She's got a better swing
than I do. For sure. I need her in Nile to go head to head now. No, she, she's not there yet.
I thought you were going to be like, she'll beat him. No, she will be one day. One day. Wait,
I love that. She looks so, that's adorable. Okay. All right. A couple more. Here we go.
Kevin Jonas has made cameos in several TV and reality shows. Name two. Minute to win it. And
are we counting claim to fame? Yes. Let's count. Yeah. We'll count claim to fame. All right.
Amazing. But you have a lot on the list. Do you have other faves? Desperate Housewives,
not Desperate Housewives. Real Housewives of New Jersey. That was my personal favorite. Can you
tell me about that experience? It's a weird one. So I had a company that I was building houses when
the band like kind of broke up, but I was just like investing in properties and other things.
But we were managing a lot of properties for people that wanted custom homes. And we were
just like managing the job. So I was there because they asked us to do the job. It was that simple.
What did you take away from being on that set? Like, cause I feel like in my mind,
we see the Bravo world. You know, they've asked, they've asked Danielle.
Really? They've asked Danielle. She was like. What would it take for her to do that? Never?
I just don't think that's her. Yeah. I don't know. I don't think the, like,
the inter-fighting is her vibe. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I would love to see it.
Like, you know, the truth is they're, I've met most of them. They kind of live all in our area
in New Jersey. So like, I've known, know the families for a long time, but I mean, like,
just maybe not her thing. Yeah. Are you. Honestly, though, if she wants to do it, girl.
Yeah. Oh my God. It'd be fun TV though. She would just like, sit there and laugh at them.
Yeah. Like I feel like she'd be a great addition. She would just be like, you're ridiculous.
Do you like watching reality TV? Oh yeah. Big into Below Deck these days. Me too. It's the
best show on TV. Below Deck is great. And you know what about Below Deck that's great? You get
everything. You get wish fulfillment. You get drama. Yes. And you just get yachts. Love. You
get, they're all falling in love. Honestly, for anyone that's ever been on a yacht, yachts are
tight. And that's why that show works. It's so good. It's so good. I love that. Okay. Last
question. Here we go. Last question. Are we tied right now? I think we are. We can't tell you the
score. Oh yeah. No. Yeah. Okay. He says, yeah, we are. Okay. Sorry to still do. All right. Wait. Oh,
so this is, this is big. Oh no. All right. Finish the lyric. It's not a home if there's no familiar
faces, but I keep on changing. Oh, I keep on changing. Finish the lyric? Yeah. That is the
lyric. Yeah. The next one. You got to sprint and sing the next line. I like how technical you are
with this game. I was like, that was the line. What's the next line after that? Wait, now I lost
my train of thought. Hey, do you know? I'm sorry. You can't take a beep. The coffee's cold. Yes.
Coffee's cold. Same old conversation and I keep on changing.
Sorry. I got technical on it and I lost. I can keep going. That is the line. I know. I was like,
I keep on changing. Let's do one more you forgot about. Yeah. All right. We're giving Paige that
point. Okay. Which means our final score is Paige with six. Kevin with five. Wow. You know,
you've done big things for the people out there. That means that we are officially a two and two.
It's two and two. Yeah, this is good. Okay. I'm going to have to bring my daughters in here and
see if they can beat the fans. Oh my God. I would love that. They would crush I think. At golf,
they're just better at life than we are. That's fair. That's fair. You guys both put up a very
good fight though. Thank you, Paige. This was a great game. You're a good opponent. Good game.
Good game. The last time we hang out, it's a lie. Fine. I mean, see you at the New York
Shows next month. Well, I'll hide. Before we run out today, Kevin, what does it mean for you to
have a fan like Paige that knows more about you than you do? I will say it is a true testament
to the fact that Jonas fans are the best in the world. And thank you, Paige. Appreciate you very
much. But yeah, we would not be doing what we do every single day without people like yourself. So
we love you all. We love you, Paige. Thank you. I love you. One more time for Paige,
everybody. Our amazing fan. And for Kevin with his new single, Changing Out Today. We love you
guys. Thank you. Hey, my name is Paige, and I just beat Kevin Jonas at Fan vs. Artist Trivia.
I have been a fan of Kevin Jonas and the Jonas Brothers for coming up on 20 years now since
they first started back in the day. I have been to around 25 or so Jonas Brothers shows,
and counting. If I could say something to Kevin, I would say, first of all, huge congratulations on
Changing, and the fans are so happy for you and so proud of you. And on a more personal note,
thank you for all of the music and the memories from over the years. Thank you so much to Kevin
and to iHeartRadio for this amazing opportunity. Thanks so much for watching. Did you like that
