A report from Rhodium group estimates China’s actual GDP growth this year is below 3%.

It's significantly lower than the official target of 5%.

Rhodium Group says the slow growth is being driven by a sharp drop in fixed asset investment.

This refers to spending on long-term physical assets used to produce goods and services, such as factories, vehicles, and infrastructure.

New data released Monday shows China's economic growth slowed in November.

China’s retail sales grew at their slowest pace in 3 years, signaling weak consumer spending and a worsening property market.

Investment in the country also hit a record low.
