Hey everyone! Welcome or welcome back to my channel, it's Gardeliza here.
Today's video I'm going to be continuing with my Christmas decorating series
but today's video I'm going to be focusing in my living space. So we are going to be doing
my Christmas mental decorating, shelf styling, putting up and decorating our Christmas tree.
So hopefully there will be a lot of Christmas and holiday inspiration and ideas for your home decor
so I hope that you enjoy this video, thank you so much for watching
and let's get into this Christmas decorating.
Today we are starting by putting up our Christmas tree,
I actually did this right after finishing the entryway and console table decor.
As I mentioned before I brought back my favorite natural seagrass tricolor,
I just love the organic texture it adds.
This is the Grand Duchess Balsam Fir Twinkling Christmas Tree
and putting it up is honestly so easy, it needs little to almost no fluffing at all,
I bought it last year and I'm still so happy with it,
specially because it has that dimmable lights
and you can switch between warm white and multicolor setting,
I definitely don't regret buying this tree.
But for my Christmas living room decor, I like to begin by decorating the mantel,
to secure the garlands I'm using this command core clips that I got from Amazon
and they are great to keep the garlands together and in place.
This year I used the popular cedar garlands from Walmart and I really like them
because they are super flexible, soft and very easy to work with.
I decided to go with an asymmetrical garland design on my mantel again
just like I've done for the past two years.
I used three garlands in total to cover the entire mantel
and creating a long tail cascading down one side.
I saved all the small branch pieces from the mimosa stems I bought at Hobby Lobby last year
and I'm tucking them into the garlands to fill in that corner where the tail cascades
just to make it look fuller of red accents and creating that wild woodsy look.
I also added three of the burgundy floral stems I ordered from Etsy
to give it that sweet and romantic look.
And I added some pinecombs branch pieces from the pine and pinecombs stems from Hobby Lobby.
I found these berry peaks at Target and I took the branches off the peak so I could tuck them
in individually and using my fingers I bent the end of the wire to make a type of hook
to hook it in the garland and then I just added layers and layers of each one of them
to create a fuller red look.
And then I'm adding the remaining berry branches and the mimosa pieces
all the way along the garland to give it more color and texture.
To hide any exposed wire from the garland I'm using some pieces of these cedar stems
that I got from Walmart and are exactly the same cedar leaves of the garland
and I'm just placing over the wire to make it disappear
and make it look more natural, fuller and lush.
And next I added the traditional twinkling lights all the way along the garland.
I found these twinkling wire lights in Amazon
and I love that the wire is green which helps to make it more seamless.
And next to hang the stockings I used these metal clips I got at Target
and now they will be more convenient since the command cords are right on that area
and I need something thinner to fit in that space.
I'm hanging first the red ruffled stocking by my Texas house I got at Walmart this year
and I added a thin bow using the dark brown for these red stockings.
And next I'm hanging these brown stockings I got from Amazon
and I also added a bow with the opposite color.
And the last one will be these beige stockings
that are also one of the stockings I got from Amazon and I added a burgundy bow.
And next in the other corner I'm also adding one of the metal clips to hang the bells.
I made this cluster of bells using the small tibetan bells I had from the last two years
using a medium sized one at the bottom just to add that subtle visual variation in size.
And next it's time to decorate our Christmas tree
and I'm starting by adding all the dark red flocked ornaments I got from Walmart this year
but I also will be using some of the burgundy flocked ornaments that I got last year
they are smaller but I would like them to add that variation in size.
Next I'm continuing adding these beige tan flocked ornaments
they will add that soft earthy tone that I was envisioning to combine with the dark red
and they are also from Walmart this year.
I also hung these fluted gold glass Christmas ornaments I ordered from Amazon
they look very high-end and I love the antique inspired cap on them.
I found these gold glass beaded ornaments at Target
and I love them to add that pretty gold glowy touch to the tree
these metal ornaments will reflect the Christmas lights beautifully
and I also got the silver glass ornaments from Walmart
and for the first time I'm adding a silver detail in my Christmas tree decor.
I'm also adding these brown ornaments I used the last year
and these are smaller and that will add that variation in size.
I also ordered this medium-sized burgundy bows from Amazon
specially to add them to my Christmas tree
and I also used some of the thinner burgundy bows I used last year
I love the festive touch a bow always adds to the Christmas decor and to the Christmas tree.
Next I also wanted to add my favorite mimosas stems to my Christmas tree
I love to do this every year and I've been doing this every year
to add that soft and fuzzy burgundy touch.
To finish it off I'm topping the tree with this metal bowl I got last year
and I actually DIY it by spray painting it gold and I loved how it turned out
I still love it and still looks perfect so I decided to use it again
and this is the result of our Christmas tree decor.
Now I'm going to add these small swags from the hearth and hen collection
I thought they would be perfect to add a subtle touch of greenery that frame the pictures
I'm just placing one swag on top of each picture line
and I love how it instantly adds that soft festive touch without overwhelming the wall
it's such a simple detail but it makes the whole gallery look more intentional
and festive for Christmas.
And now it's time to style our shelves and I'm starting by the left side
and first I would like to add some greenery in that corner
so I wanted to use this beautiful caramel vase
and I brought back these zero stems I got from Etsy last year
and I truly love these stems are one of my favorites
because are super realistic and I love the movement that they have.
And next I'm bringing this little woven basket
and I'm bringing back this beautiful ornament candle
I got this ornament candles from world market in two sizes and this is the smallest one
I wanted to replace the youth rope to tie a satin ribbon
making a long tail bow for a maximalist festive look.
For the next decor I found this beautiful dark wood tone beaded picture frame at home goods
and I just love the handmade and rustic look
in this frame I wanted to put in this adorable vintage inspired Santa
with a reindeer printed picture I got from Etsy.
I also found this gorgeous velvet reindeer at home goods
in a gorgeous burgundy red color
and this is the large version of the same velvet reindeer I added in my console table decor
and I'm placing it behind the picture
almost as if the reindeer is just peeking out from the artwork
adding that unexpected little touch of charm.
To add a soft source of light
I'm adding this black metal candle holders I got at Hobby Lobby
and I found this beautiful and charming flameless candles
with a very unique engraved floral design all over it
and they include a remote which makes super easy to turn on and off.
And for the middle shelf decor
I'm using these white ceramic houses from my Texas house Christmas collection at Walmart
to make things easier and more practical
I ordered some tea lights that come with a remote so I can control them all at once.
Now I actually prefer Christmas houses without the built-in lights
because this way I can add my own tea lights and control them with the remote
it would be so much more convenient to me.
And now I'm bringing this beautiful vintage inspired the metal hanging bells with stand
that I ordered from Luke's Pico and I ordered very early during the fall season
and I'm using them to create this charming little Christmas village
but instead of adding the faux pine trees like I did last year
I'm mixing in the bells to give it that nostalgic old town village look.
And of course I'm using that remote to turn on the tea lights.
For the next decor in that shelf I wanted to create a soft nostalgic Christmas moment
so I wanted to start with that linen like picture frame I found at Homewoods
I wanted to use this printed photo in this frame
I got this Christmas vintage inspired printable picture from Etsy
and I love the nostalgic scene and the pops of red in this picture
To complement the Christmas scene moment I brought this textured
mini face I got from Magnolia and I filled it with my favorite red mimosa stems from Hobby Lobby
I love how the deep olive tones of the face bring warmth
and the berries add that perfect pop of festive color
For a grouping decor I just popped one of the colder resin figs I got from Amazon
For the highest shelf I wanted to keep it simple and earthy
I added this woven box on one side to bring in a bit of natural texture
and on the other side I placed this wooden bowl filled with pine cones and berry accents
and just popped a subtle piece of cedar leaf
I added a simple bow on top of the woven box to evoke the Christmas scents
On the right side of the fireplace I added these sculptural black reindeers
and I placed two of them on top of a coffee table book
Next, I'm bringing this adorable picture of Santa in his sleigh ascending into the sky
with his reindeers, the soft twinkling lights being reflected on the glass
add that magical Christmas touch
I'm adding some books to add enough height to place these charming
metal casitas or Christmas houses for my Texas house
and I love that I can add my own two lights I can control easily with the remote I come with
For the middle shelf I'm adding this woven slate made of twigs and branches
which brings in such a beautiful natural and rustic texture
I actually got it last year from at home, a few days before Christmas
so I badly used that and I wanted to finally use it this year because it's so beautiful
To complement this shelf styling I ordered these natural wooden frames from Zara Home
I picked them up in both the small and medium size so I could layer them together
In the small one I'm adding this printed picture I found on Etsy
and these picture frames come with a beautiful linen backing
and I really wanted that to be shown
So instead of covering it completely I trimmed the picture down a bit
but to add some charming visual interest
I'm using this paper edger scissor set I found at Walmart
It comes in a pack of two and I'm using the majestic edge
I love the effect it gives because once it's in the picture
it almost looks like a parchment paper
For the medium size frame I'm doing the exact same thing
but this time with a nostalgic old world Christmas scene I found on Etsy
This way you can still see the linen backdrop
but with a more interesting artistic shape around the image
and I feel like it adds so much character to the shelf
And next to the frames I'm just placing this gold metal nutcracker
new from the Studio Magui Christmas collection at Target
At the other corner I'm just adding this face
with a single cedar branch I got from Walmart just to fill that gap
but it actually being covered with the Christmas tree
On the highest shelf I'm keeping simple and I added this paper mache ball
and then next to it I placed my small vintage books
laying down one of them to just pop some pine cones for that nature rustic touch
Next, moving on to our coffee table
I wanted to bring this beautiful round ceramic vase I found at Home Goods
I'm filling with these red berry stems I got from the Hearth and Hand Christmas collection last year
They are so beautiful and they add that wild but still
delicate touch of festive and seasonal red berries
On this book I'm placing one of the Christmas candles from the Hearth and Hand Christmas collection
and this is the balsam and berry scent
And next on this book I'm placing this marble bowl
I'm filling with natural elements like a bunch of pine cones
gloves from a ball filler bag
some gold figs for that glowy festive touch
and a metal cowbells cluster
I put together using a burgundy ribbon and a bow and I just laid on top
And next I wanted to add this beautiful candle snuffer I got from Home Decor website's shop
and I believe it's the same from Amber Interiors
and then the matches in a glass gloss
And next for the textiles I went to Marshall's
and I found this gorgeous dark burgundy knit throw blanket
I fell in love with the deep and elegant color
and next I got this burgundy throw pillow with a cream floral pattern from Etsy
and a beautiful linen fabric
On the other side of the sofa I'm adding this embroidered Christmas tree throw pillow
from Studio Maggie
and then this dark red lumber pillow I also found in Marshall's
On the condo sofa I wanted to add this super cozy and soft throw blanket
I got from the Studio Maggie collection at Target
and then when shopping at Marshall's I also found this beautiful and unique throw pillow
I fell in love with the beautiful winter scene
and the combination with greens and light brown colors
perfect to fit in with my decor
On the other side I wanted to add this burgundy throw pillow
and this lumber throw pillow in light brown that I had on hand from last year
For our side table I'm just keeping simple adding a book
and topping with this pine tree glass jar candle I found at Walmart
and that's it for this space
And next our Christmas tree
I wanted to bring back this woven cigarette sleigh just for a little accent
but this time I'm adding in this large Tibetan inspired metal bells from Amazon
I'm bringing back my favorite ornaments to finish up our living room setting
and fill that space
And this is the result of our living room Christmas decor
I'm so happy with how it turned out
The combination of textures, the soft glow from the tree and candles
and all the natural elements just make the space feel so warm and welcoming
From the cedar garlands draping on the mantel filled with berries and mimosa branches
to the cozy textiles layered around the room
Every detail was chosen to bring in that subtle warmth
The candle light helps create that calming ambience in the evenings
and I love how the flameless candles blend perfectly with the decor
while keeping everything safe and easy to control
Bringing in natural materials like the rattan sleigh, woven baskets,
and even the brass bells added that rustic organic charm I love so much for Christmas
