Although we may share differing opinions on precisely when this friendship blossomed into a relationship, I vividly remember the exact second I fell in love with you. In that moment, it didn't feel as if I was making a conscious decision, but rather fate that was predetermined, guiding my feelings toward you and the path that lied ahead for both of us. The day I met you, I wanted time to slow down so I could spend more of it with you. The day I knew I loved you, I wanted time to be limitless so I could never spend a moment without you. Since the beginning of our relationship, God has blessed me every single day with the greatest gift I could ask for, time with you. Sometimes when you meet your person, your friends will know it before you do, and this is one of those moments where we just knew. She decided she wanted to move to Florida and had a very promising job opportunity. It was the day of her first interview and she called me immediately saying, McKenna, you're not going to believe this. And I said, oh no. And she said, he played baseball and he's hot. We got done golfing one day. He looked over at me and Tyler and said, hey, you know, we're gonna go get some food. Is it okay if I invite some coworkers? Like, yeah, sure, why not? In walks Kara. Later that night, we all went back to our Airbnb and just hung out, enjoyed good company, good conversation. You know, when it was getting late, Dan being the gentleman that he is, walked her to her car. I'll never forget looking at Tyler. It was kind of one of those moments just where like deer caught in headlights. We're like, who, what, where'd she come from? She's awesome. We kind of grilled Dan for a second. He told you all that. We're like, what are you doing, bud? You need to ask her out. You know, that's a wife right there. I would have comfort knowing she wasn't all alone in Florida. When you walk through each season with someone and know their deepest desires, it's pretty obvious when their person meets their person they prayed so long for. There's no doubt in my mind that Kara is in the hands of the man that the Lord longed for her to be with. Boy, a lot of emotions right now. I just can't even describe it. It's a once in a lifetime thing. Dan, Juan, he and I prayed for you for a long, long time. Before you even met Kara, we were praying for you. We've prayed that Kara would find someone who loved her and cared for her as much as we did. Dan, we're so happy you two found each other and are also so happy and proud to call you our son-in-law. You've shown me what it means to extend a helping hand, what it means to truly be kind to others, and what it means to work hard in all pursuits. I prayed to God for a long time for him to put my person in my life at his time and not mine. Your creativity and resolve to your career is unmatched. Your devotion to God is unwavering and a constant example for me. And the purity of your soul and gentleness of your heart are truly irreplaceable. Today I give myself to you in marriage and make a promise to always be there for you no matter the circumstance. We will have our ups and downs, but each day it's you that I want to see last before I fall asleep and you that I want to see first when I wake up.
