THE LAST VLOG OF 2025 ✨ Girls Christmas Sleepover & Festive Hosting Tips

I hope you're all doing really well. I hope you're prepped and ready for Christmas or at least feeling like you're getting there, getting somewhere. This guys is going to be my last vlog before Christmas. I was um like the way that the dates have worked out this year, my Wednesdays and Sunday dates where I upload YouTube videos, Wednesday is Christmas Eve, so I was like, do I do a vlog? I'm not sure if anyone will watch it cuz most people will be with their families potentially or busy and have plans. And I thought, you know what, no, I'll just take the week off. I won't take the full week off because I'll probably do a video on Sunday of maybe a roundup of our Christmas day, what I got for Christmas, that kind of thing maybe. Or just like a touching base. And um Oh, is that a nice pack scratch? Um so I will see you next week, but just not on Wednesday. So this is my last one before Christmas. So guys, have a fantastic Christmas. I can't believe I'm saying that already. Um, I've moved my tree. I don't know if I've shown you that actually, but I've moved my Christmas tree that I had in my filming room down in here just to add a little festive touch because I know previous years we've had a real Christmas tree there, but it does feel a little lackluster in this room in terms of Christmas. There's a few things I've got a little Christmas bouquet out there, got a couple of things on the shelves, but I've missed not having a real Christmas tree here this year. and I would have got one, but I'm I've been by myself these last this sort of last week or so in the leadup to Christmas cuz Tom has taken his mom away. Um, so I didn't really want to be going to get a Christmas tree by myself and like logistically it would have been a bit of a faf and a bit of effort. So, to be honest with you, I just thought, you know what? This adds a little festive touch without the need for me to have to struggle basically with a big real tree myself. And obviously, we have the front room, the main Bolam Hill, huge, glamorous, lovely tree, which is my favorite. Anyway, um I am prepping today. Sorry, I've just come in from outside. I've just taken Barney out for a nice long walk and we went and did a bit of work from the cafe. went to Gail's and I have my lunch in that bag. But it is a Thursday. I'm hosting this weekend. So today and tomorrow I need to wrap up bits of work that I need to get done and also organize doing like the bedding and everything like that cuz I have some girls staying over and actually doing a bit of a sleepover. So we're going to uh they're going to come over Saturday. We're going to have some lunch, some pizza, drinks, Christmasy games. um Christmas movies, whatever we end up doing all day and night. And then I may be going home on Sunday um to see my family. I thought I would show you my prepping and hosting little tips and tricks ahead of Christmas if you are also hosting over the festive period and what I've got in for that. I also actually have just had two deliveries, so I thought we could do a little PR unboxing. One of them I can tell on the box it says Amazon influencers, but I have no idea what it is. And it's huge. So, let me go grab them. My goodness, it is so heavy. Even the delivery driver was like, "You going to be okay with that?" I'll manage. Right. And it's even got some little festive Christmas tape on it. So, that is so exciting. Let me grab some scissors. So, I went out on our like Christmasy girls work stew. We do a little Christmas work do every year just because we're all self-employed. We don't get a Christmas work do. So, we were always sort of like of the impression that why not book a table somewhere, have an opportunity and an excuse to get glam, get a bit glitzy, put the party wear on, and go and just enjoy some good girl time. So, we did that. We went to um place called Phoenix in Manchester, which we've been to before. It is gorgeous. The aesthetics and everything so so nice. Our table was at 3 and it was actually quite quiet, but then it started to get a bit busier as we were kind of like finishing up like sort of 7 8:00. Um, and anyway, it was such a lovely time. I didn't vlog. I was planning on starting this vlog yesterday, but in between that and doing work bits, it just got a bit busy and a bit hectic and I didn't start the vlog yesterday. But I was going to show you my outfit that I wore cuz a few of you have been asking for links on my Instagram that I've posted that photo. So, I thought maybe some of you here on YouTube might be interested. So, my outfit that I went for, I went with sort of like party underneath, but then a casual jumper over the top to kind of get there given that we were going at like 300 p.m. Um, and then as soon as we got in, I've whipped off the jumper and I was in full glam. So, the dress was actually Primark, but last year or the year before, the jumper was also Primark. Uh, what else did I wear? The tights and the boots are what I've linked and what you guys were asking for, especially the boots. I got them from Zara, like a suede heeed boot. So, so comfortable to wear. And then also my tights, given that I had a different outfit in mind, meant that I hadn't faked my legs or shaved my legs. So, tights were the only way. And the tights that I wore. What have you got? I feel like you've got something. Can I see? Oh, what is it, darling? Let me see. Where did you get that from? It's just an envelope. Is it like a charity Christmas? Oh, the local MP Christmas card. Thanks for delivering it, Mr. Delivery Driver. Little Santa Paul's elf. Yeah, the tights that I wore were a bit of a saving grace essentially for me. So, I will leave those linked as well. I just get them off Amazon. They're kind of like dancers tights. They're a bit shimmery. They give you a bit of color as well. I think I wear the shade light toasted or toasted, something like that. Um, but yeah, they're lovely. Anyway, let's get into this box cuz the anticipation. Ooh, we've got a box from Weey. Oh, this is like Christmas. Healthy hair is on the way. Detox shampoo and scalp serum. I've tried the scalp serum and really love it. You You just use it on even if your hair's washed. It doesn't leave it greasy or anything. And then also another set that they've also very kindly included, the scrub it all the way detox shampoo again. And then this one also comes with a scalp and body scrub. Nice. Scalp and body scrub. This is interesting. I love a scalp scrub. Anyway, the Kristoff Robin one is the one that I've talked about before. So, because I love that so much, I feel like I'm going to really enjoy this, too. Um, but the fact that you can use this one on your body as well. I've never heard of that. Hair and body. I guess your scalp is your body. Smells so good. I mean, I knew you'd come to investigate. Oh my god. It's not scary, Barbie. Is anyone else's golden retriever a bit of a scaredy cat? I think it's the loud noises and things like that. He doesn't like floss off. Oh my goodness. If we have this in here, this is what we've got in here. There's a list of things. This is literally like Christmas cuz they're all wrapped up. What an exciting delivery. Okay, let's just go in with it rather than look at the list of items that included too much. However, the hidden hint of the hot chocolate recipe could be a sign. They are the color of the season as well. Let me just get all the packaging out so you can see. The color of the season with the burgundy, the velvet, the gold clasp. Oh my goodness, these are so pretty. They're like a ballet slipper shoe. What else have we got in this box? A bag in a box. We got some beauty bits. These masks. these face masks. It's from Biodense. Is that the brand? These are the hydro um deep masks that you can pop on. And yeah, four sheets in here. You get soothing, moisturizing, nourishing. Amazing. Oh, one of the wonders skin lip stains. This is in the shade whimsical. This is another like highly rated brand. So, I'll give that a try cuz I do think a lip stain works really well, especially as like a liner. We've also got Oh, by Amazon. They do their own skincare. An almond extract body lotion. And then a neon candle. One of my faves. I love neon candles, especially their festive ones. This is in the scent sparkling cinnamon. No, sparkling joy. Sorry. It's ginger, lime, and beta. So, not cinnamon at all. I've got cinnamon on the brain with the cinnamon sticks that they've included. Two more boxes to open. I wasn't expecting to start this video in this way, but wow, Christmas has come early. This is what I've just seen listed. This is the 43% milk chocolate flakes. I know Tom's going to like this as well cuz he's not a fan of like any kind of flavored hot chocolate. I will try any, but just a classic milk chocolate. And then also in this box, we've got a little present wrapped up with a candy cane and a ribbon. And then in here we've got uh what's this? Oh, Amazon Essentials with the um collaboration with Sofia Graange. Is this pajamas? Oh, so so soft. Wow. Luxuriously soft. And then yeah, just straight leg bottoms in this gorgeous cream color. These are so soft. I'm going to say the softest pajamas I've ever owned. I've never felt anything like that before. and Amazon are some of my favorites anyway for the like the bamboo cotton pajamas, but they are so soft. I have a games cupboard and this isn't in the games cupboard. So, I'm so excited cuz I've heard good things about this. This is called Herd Mentality. Can you think like the udders? Gosh, no wonder it all came in such a big box. There's so much stuff in here. This Oh my goodness. packaging. Lastly in here, this book is another thing that I included within my gift guide videos and yet another little candy cane wrapped up gift. Everyone raves about this. So, I've kind of been saving this for January. The book that I'm currently reading, Fourth Wing obsessed, so I'm going to have to get the second book cuz I'm probably only a few chapters till the end. Um, but then next up, I want to do like a little self-help type book. And this is one that I've already got, so I will be gifting this one. This is um two simple words will change how you think about your entire life. There is a better way to live by letting other people live their lives. You finally get to live yours. And start with, if I'm honest with you, I need to get on some sheets, bed sheets in the washing so that I can get cracking with that and get the bedrooms kind of sorted for the girls. Cuz then once that's done tomorrow, I can then go out and do a bit of a food shop and show you kind of like my little tablescape ideas and hosting gifts, bits and bobs I've got for my girls. So yeah, let's crack on with some washing. Twice the size that we love. Yeah. All the Christmas songs that we love. In a while, we're going to go inside and drink our chocolate by the fire. All I want is to spend this day with you. Let me give you a Christmasyist baby. I don't need any presents as long as I spend this day with you. So beautiful toast baby. >> Look what else I picked up the other day when I went to Waitro. Their little food brochure. I thought I could get some inspo. This was like last week that I bought this. And radio times, merry Christmas and a happy new year. So, we can get flicking through and see what's on TV this festive season. Still not watched this yet this year. Elf is a classic. Oh, that's streaming. Look, modern times. Feel like I need to sit down with a coffee and go through this and see exactly what is on and on when. And then Christmas Day, we've got some good classics. Home Alone, The Great Christmas Bake Off. We'll definitely be watching that. 1% club Christmas um special. Um what else have we got? Oh, this is just like my childhood. You got to watch a bit of Wallace and Gromit. I've never seen Frozen 2. Maybe watch that. Home Alone 2. I have watched that this year though. Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not exactly festive. Neither does Matilda, however. Classic movies. Gavin and Stacy. Oh, The Royal Family. We did watch The Royal Family this year. We watched all of them including the Christmas special. So I have already watched that. That's where Tommy is. Tom will be watching the cricket over in Australia. This new drama I've been uh really interested in starting. Let me know if you've watched it. All her fault. I've seen little clips of it on Google Box and it looks really good. I know Boxing Day, we've got the a new episode or two for uh Stranger Things, but I think there's some more out on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, so I'm going to save it until Tom gets back and watch it then. um watch all of the last few episodes then. Oh, I can't wait. I just have to avoid any spoilers in the meantime. But anyway, yeah, I need to dedicate a good hour or so having a good flick through that with a with a nice coffee. Find a home close until we reach a place we can stay a bit. >> If anyone has ever wondered, this is how I transform my filming room into a kind of spare bedroom. Obviously, it's very basic. It's a blowup mattress on the floor, but do you know what? It's big enough. I think this is a king size one. They do double. They might even do single as well. Um but king-size duvet, few pillows. Um throw a towel on the bed. Couple of magazines. These are those ones that I got the Charlotte Tilbury um free uh wand with beauty wand. So I've just put because I had three sets of magazines. I put one on everyone's bed. And these are ideal obviously because they store away to next to nothing. They blow up by just plugging them in, switching them to fill with air, and it takes about 3 minutes, maybe even less than that. And then when you want to deflate them, you again plug it in and switch it the opposite direction. And it takes all the air out. So it's again really, really quick and easy to then just fold up. Comes in a storage bag that I just slip under our spare bedroom, hide extra bedding and stuff under there. But this is where ideally I want to eventually when we sort out our storage room down in the basement have the shelves down there to store all of these things just because they're not on show. I will probably just bring that blanket down a little bit so you can't see them. But this is if I switch on the light. This is the obviously spare bedroom as you guys know it. this room. I have my little hamper of like free samples and things that wherever you go to like hotels or anything, just grab grab the samples and just throw them in there for guests. We've got like a toothbrush in there, some little cotton pads, sleep pillow mist. This is our spare bedroom on suite where we've got the little shower unit. And then the last and final bedroom is downstairs in the basement. We're back home. I have just been to the shop. I just went to I was going to go to M&S or waitress to get some like picky bits and canopes and I thought, you know what, I'm actually just going to maybe attempt to just do a few myself. I've already got from Costco some in the freezer just like some frozen mac and cheese bites and mozzarella balls kind of thing. So, if you want to throw those in as extras, but I think what we're going to do is have some picky bits and then pizzas later. So, which I'll just get from Domino's. We basically at this point have a book club. this group of girls. We our group chat is pretty much all about Fourth Wing. I have a few chapters left and two of the girls have finished the series and one girl is on the second book and I'm the one of the first books still. I'm just been so busy that I just haven't had the time to read it. But guys, it is so good. So anyway, I picked up this for us to just have on the table when I've got these little like other coloring, not coloring, like little painting, mini painting things that we can just do if we fancy it on the dining table with a couple of games, some snacks. We can do that. And I thought I' just got to throw that in the mix. Um, okay. So, little canopies. I thought we could do um little blinies. Pop a little dollop of Philadelphia on each one. And then also a little cut of where is it? It's in here somewhere. Smoked salmon. This one is actually with lemon and pepper. So it's already already quite flavored. So we'll try that anyway. Put just a little springrig of dill on top. So that's like one canop. We've got some uh like a selection of shakuterie bits. We've got uh just some carrot bon. I've got some cucumber in the fridge. I've got the hummus in the fridge, but I also just picked up this dip. I've got some pitter chips in the cupboard from Costco. I can pop out some olives. Um just some little savory sticks, nibbles. Uh we've got these little bag of honey roasted maple peanuts and cashews. I've got loads of sweet treats. So, we've got loads of, you know, like plenty of quality street celebrations, lint chocolates, that kind of thing. In fact, I might even do these teddy bears or the Santaas. And can you see each of these have like a breakoff you can tear off and write the name of the person. So, what I'll do, I'll probably do this tomorrow, maybe, or I could do that bit tonight. I'll do the foodie bits tomorrow morning before they get here. But tonight I could do a table play setting cuz then that will be ticked off then. Yeah, I'll do that. So for the rest of the food bits, um I just got some bread if you want some toast in the morning. Just some sourdough. I needed a new jam. So I picked up jam. We've already got butter. Just some apple juice. Um already got the ginger one of these. But the moju shots I absolutely love the turmeric ones. I actually would say that this has helped keep any sickness out of bay like at bay from me. I'm the sort of person that if Tom gets sick, that's it. I'm getting it. Tom has been sick twice with colds or fluy type things over the last I want to say 6 months. And both times I've avoided it by having this, which is unheard of for me. And I've even had a couple of moments where I've had a bit of a tickly cough. Not cough, sorry. Like a tickly throat that I've kind of woken up and thought, "Oh, dry throat. Is this going to be the start of something?" And then honestly, I've knocked this back and it's just gone. I haven't actually like gone full-blown cold. I mean, touchwood. I'm saying this now, but I've kept it at bay for this long anyway. Couple of times I've nearly got ill and I do actually think that that helps. Anyway, got some honey as well. We could do some yogurts. These are just I'm actually going to put these in the freezer to take home to my dad. He absolutely loves them. You can only get them. They're north staffs, but you can only really get them in the north, like north of where they live. They don't get any local to them. So, I said I'd pick some of these up. They do have like short shelf life though, so I'm going to have to throw these in the freezer. Yogurt. For yogurt bowls, just went for some Greek yogurt. And that's everything in there. I did just pick up whilst I was in John Lewis a stock up of my BB skin detox fluid. This is what I wear on my base. This with a bit of foundation every day. I don't sorry, not foundation, with a bit concealer every day. I don't wear foundation. Um I I would like to get back into it though. There's a couple over the years that I've enjoyed like the Nars sheer glow, the Lumi Lumi Silk, Luminous Silk from Giorgio Armani, but I just the BB cream honestly has enough coverage. I've also heard good things about the Victoria Beckham skin tint type thing, so I think that might similar. We've got some tomatoes in there as well. I can do. So, yes, we'll prep those little uh salmon and picky bits tomorrow. A couple of things out so far just for hosting that I've just kind of come across. Um we've got us little um festive hot chocolate crackers that I can put on our table play setting along with pajamas each matching PJs and a little scratch card each as well. This is the game that I bought for us to play. unfiltered girls night party game for the girls. Oh, I forgot about these that I got from Aldi. Kind of prefer the look of these though. These from Aldi are table play settings that you can personalize. Maybe do that as well. Plenty of chocolate treats. Then they can take one of these home with them. So, these are the little activity things that I've got for us. And I've shown you in a oops I've shown you in a vlog before, but I just got a selection. So, not just festive. You can kind of like follow the color palette guide that they give you. and then cut this out and frame it. Each one comes with a little paint set with all of the different colors and also there's a paint brush in there as well. I think each one was £5 so it's really affordable. I've just got little mini table gifts for the girls as well. A couple of things in there. Um and then these little pens as well I thought would make good little table gifts. So this is essentially what everyone will get. I will just wrap up um maybe the book for each person. I also had this in the cupboard. Where did I get this? Was it the range? It's just tartan material, but I thought I could use it as a table runner. A couple of pounds. That $2.99 that one was. This is what I put as like a baselet, which is stained to the max. But there's a reason why I use this. And it's for that exact reason. Because obviously had this have not been down where we've had spills, it would have leaked through to the wood um which wouldn't have been ideal. So, I use this, which you just buy by the roll off Amazon. It's a foam kind of fabric. I'll leave it linked, but you buy it by the roll and then just um cut it to size. All right. I think this will be a kind of cut to size. Yeah, there's Oh, no. It's just the right size. Wow. 2.7 m. Ah, yeah. I remember our table length being about 270. So, yeah, that is ideal. kind of like tucks under as well given that it's been on a roll. May even pop of flowers on there. Remember when we kissed the mistle What are you doing? I've got Bunny. I've got this trio of candles which I got I think last year, but I've never got them out and used them. So, I've just opened them up and it's the winter scent. So, I thought I could scatter these around the house and also use the the winter oil which I'll pop in my diffuser and make the house smell of winter. Oh, you so handsome. >> Managed to use the Aldi transfers on the table place settings and it was actually really easy. So, that's what I've done for everyone. And I just thought, how can I place it without obviously chocolate melting or going anywhere? And then I thought, well, I've got these napkins. Obviously got our uh what they called? Emma Bridgewater ones over there. But these Zara home ones that I got last year, I want to say. I thought I could just put one of those. The table place setting sort of sat on it. And that's what I'll do. Uh right. Where's mine? Mine's here. >> Okay. table place setting is all done. As for the foodie bits, I'm just getting everything kind of like with the bowl that they are or plate that kind of like suits the size. And I'm also now going to prep some salmon blinies. Now, I would uh you can heat these up, but I think that's better suited to like a warmer, say if you had like a little beef brisket or something like that you could put on it. Um, however, I'm going to keep them cold because otherwise the cream cheese just starts melting. These platters were from Homesense if you're interested without see. I hope you found what you wanted. So, we obviously did girly sleepover, which was so much fun. Um, and then the morning we woke up and the girls headed home. I headed home to my parents cuz we were doing like a little family get together with my grandma and some uncles. Um, one second. >> Hello. >> Hello. You okay? >> I got the app. >> Yes. Thank you. >> Amazing. Thanks so much. Bye. Yes. So, we essentially had um like a bit of a get together kind of like for my grandma. She has an operation. So, we were just there in rally and support for her and um yeah, it was lovely. So, now I uh well, I've woken up the next day and I'm going to head back home. I need to tidy up the house after the girls have stepped over. Obviously, we just need to I just need to get the house in order. I also need to wrap some of my family members Christmas presents. Start doing that at some point within the next couple of days. And then I'll be back then to my parents for Christmas. So yeah, Starbucks for the road. If you're wondering, this is what I'm listening to. Dio, it's the author of Atomic Habits, which I actually have that book, but yet to read it. And I didn't realize how much of a bestseller it was. So I'm going to listen to this podcast and then maybe uh that could be my next little book to read. Speaking of books to read, sorry, I'm just also parked up in McDonald's. I'm going to grab some breakfast for the road as well. Um, this I finished. I had literally like two chapters left, so I took it to my parents and read it as I went to bed. And my goodness, wow, the ending. What a shock. I absolutely now have to purchase the next book. Back home. Oh, it's here. I was just looking for my water. Yeah, excuse the fact that I am fresh faced and zero makeup on today, but it was just one of those days that I was like, you know what? traveling home from my parents. I just want to get back, get the house sorted. Oh, one of my friends, she brought these little snacks and I will 100% be delving into these. I might even save the cookies to take to my family's for over Christmas. But these little gingerbread malt tees I love. And little Christmas following the caterpillars. Today is for a day of slobbing on the sofa. I don't know if you can hear the rain on the windows up there, but it is tipping it down. Whole journey was so bad to the point where when I travel over, I go over Woodhead Pass if you know it. There's some beautiful scenery and I thought you know what on route home I'm going well originally I thought about going via Chhatzsworth House and doing the Christmas markets but they finished so early that they're already done and I was like so disappointed cuz I would have loved a little trip with Barney to see the Christmas markets I've never been at Christmas time. So next Christmas we'll have to make it our mission to do a little chats with house visit. Anyway, might even have to do it without Barney, which will make me very sad, but so we can actually go inside the house, which I've never done. Uh, but anyway, was going to do that on route through. Had a quick look, saw that the Christmas markets have finished, I thought, you know what, with this weather the way it is, let me just get home. Cuz after that, I thought, oh, maybe we'll just do a little walk like halfway sort of along that Woodhead Pass and maybe do something there. But yeah, it was absolutely tipping it down. I thought I've got a coat, but it's not the most waterproof coat I own. So, got back to a parcel. Somebody wants this from and the stories. Kind of annoyingly, it's been left on the porch and it's a bit wet. So, I'm hoping the things inside aren't damaged or ruined from that. But never mind. Um, are we good? No, we're good. We're good. Okay. So, there's two things that I ordered from and Other Stories. I very rarely do an order from them because obviously they are kind of more premium. They're a little more expensive, but I thought these two could be really good investment pieces. So, I'm going to try them on. Um, I got a basic kind of cream jumper. Let me just whip that off and try it on. It just looks like a really nice knit. Oh, yeah. It feels lovely. It feels very premium. Just a really classic shape with the slight slit on either side. A nice long length for like cozy days with leggings and boots, which is most likely how I'm probably going to wear it, but also you could just wear it with jeans. Uh, what size did I get? I got it in a medium, which feels nice and weighty. Oh, yeah. That's a really nice size. Wow. Yeah, I didn't need to size up. I was just thinking then, oh, a medium. Is it going to be long enough? But it is. And the sleeves are so wide. Ooh. Have a look in the mirror. Yeah, I really like that. We just kind of like tuck my t-shirt up so that you can't see that as a good classic staple jumper. I think I'm going to get a lot of wear out of that. So, that's good. In fact, I'll keep it on whilst I try on this next item. This one is a cape. Now, that Zara top that I wear with the kind of like scarf that I throw over the shoulder, I wear that all the time in the cooler months when I want to wear leggings and boots, but just look a little bit nicer than just then throw a hoodie on. So, like this, something like this jumper is a good replacement for that, as well as this cape. Hopefully, fingers crossed, that's what what I had in mind when I picked this up. Anyway, so it comes with a detachable. It's a little button on the back, a detachable cape. I'll have to remind myself how they styled it. This is definitely weightier than my Zara one. So, rather than a replacement of that, I feel like this would be nice for when it's even cooler because it feels a lot thicker. So you've got your base layer which is like a little kind of zipper coat and then this that is detachable so you can remove it kind of like as a big thick scarf that you could also do that kind of drape over the shoulder. I love the color and I really like it with the layered jumper underneath or even heeed boots if you wanted to make it a little bit dressier. I really like it. I'll leave both of these linked below in case you do too. That's just Yeah, I do like this. I think I'm going to keep it. I like again I like the slits on the side. I like it with this jumper layer. This is exactly how I'd wear it with this jumper layered underneath. Oh, perfect. Right, that's a good order then. Two items ordered and two items keeping. Oh, I really don't want to cuz I feel like it's a good buy, but I feel like I might end this vlog here given that there's not really much else to vlog today. And this vlog is probably long enough.
