Hi everyone, it's QuickyBaby and welcome back to World of Tanks.
And as you will have seen in the title, this year's Holiday Ops Commander has been revealed
to be Benedict Cumberbatch.
So, without further ado, let's watch the video to see his introduction and see maybe if we
can get some information about his commander inside the game.
Oh, it's exciting, these YouTube premieres.
Ah, let's go.
Ooh.
Language.
There he is, floating away, meditating.
The therapist.
Like the cat on the Zumba.
Roomba, sorry.
Wow.
He's so fast.
Sebastian, firstly, I want you to know that this is a safe space, so do feel free to express
yourself in whatever manner you see fit.
I haven't finished yet.
Wow.
Now, you're here because of a problem at work, is that right?
Um, Sarah.
Ah, a boy meets girl story.
Well, it's not quite, uh, it's, uh, it's more of a long distance thing.
Ah, oh no.
The therapist is laughing at him.
I do carry on.
Well, I, I have a problem.
I, um, I can't ever really seem to find the right, um...
Words?
Words.
Why the sudden urge to fix things now?
And your not-so-secret sensor will be Sebastian.
Sebastian.
Sleep.
Wow, yeah.
Strong resistance to hypnosis.
Seems like we're going to have to go the long way around, I'm afraid.
The long way around.
I have Parker.
Great, show him in.
Sorry, send him in.
Isn't Christmas the most wonderful time of the year?
Parker, meet Sebastian.
Hi, Seb.
I can call you Seb, right, can't I?
I was under the impression that this was a one-on-one session.
Sebastian, the one shot you're guaranteed to miss is the one you never take.
Take Parker here, for example.
No one's experienced more heartbreak and loss than him.
Wow.
He still wakes up swinging.
But life is precious.
Every day.
I have Tony.
Great, send him in.
Maybe it's best if I come back another day.
This is bonkers.
Tony!
Hey, Doc.
I really don't like the way this guy's looking at me.
How does that make you feel, Tony?
Make me feel?
Like I want to kick his teeth in.
Sebastian.
Of course I'm looking at him.
I'm not looking at you, I'm just...
You caught me alive.
Whoa, Tony, remember that in a moment of anger, a moment of patience...
Saves us a moment of regret.
Shall we continue with our game?
I don't like your face.
See, one of the things I do here, Sebastian, is I find out the beginning of the story.
Saves us a moment of regret.
You think it starts with Sarah, but it does not.
It starts with the tiny guy, you know, the little man.
No!
The little one living inside you.
The one who tells you to keep your head down, stay in your lane.
Well, in your case, your cubicle.
And not take the shot!
Oh, gosh.
It's getting quite surreal, isn't it?
This is a cool scene.
Your move.
I have Max.
Great.
Show him in.
I have Marcus.
Max von Krieger.
Right up here.
Sorry!
I promised myself I wasn't going to cry again today!
Listen, man.
I'm fine.
My life is fine.
I really should get going.
Who was that fellow?
Meg, I've told you a hundred times you can't park a tank like that.
You're blocking the other spaces.
I never park straight in a tank fight.
Meg, move the tank.
Okay, fine. I'll move the tank.
Oh, no!
Sebastian, I know.
Life can be unexpected at times.
Chaotic even.
Take these pool balls, for example.
Look at them smashing into each other.
Seems random, doesn't it?
But you play that shot 1,000 times,
and those balls will still hit each other at exactly the same point.
Fate does not miss.
Amazing.
Checkmate.
Look, you have a choice.
I have to pause for a second and say,
this whole scene with the dancing,
it was majestic to watch Benedict work there.
Like, for all of the different cameras they had to look into,
man, they've absolutely nailed it.
Back to work tomorrow,
and you can put in your noise-cancelling headphones
and disappear forever.
Duck.
What?
Or you can stand up and take the shot!
It's got to be a chappy, right?
I moved the tank.
Good effort.
Now take the shot.
Hi, Sarah.
Hi, Sebastian.
Merry Christmas.
What's he giving her, guys?
It's an AMX.
13-105.
Wow.
She knows.
Two tank nerds.
Duck.
Duck?
He was never there.
He was just in our minds.
Never mind, he was there.
5th of December, it's so nearly here!
Wow.
Fantastic.
Is that a cobra inside there?
I always used to look at these thinking, like,
is this giving us tips of what future vehicles
might be coming inside the loot boxes?
I don't know if it is.
Let me know in the comments down below.
I think it's just a cutie.
That's it!
Well, that was a fantastic video.
Fantastic video.
Let's see if we can find, um...
Let's see if we can find Uncle Scrubby Baby's part again.
So here we go.
Here is Quacky Baby's moment of fame.
Guy opens the door.
There's me.
Very, very good face.
Looked like a deer in the headlights there.
But this was quite a fun part.
Like, this part was outrageous, guys.
Honestly, like, being told
I have to go in and, like,
barge this guy down?
Like, what?
Just the jump!
And I progressively, I think, like,
at first you're like, oh, you know?
And then eventually you realise
it was a professional stuntman
who was playing this role here.
And he said, yeah, just go for it.
Just go for it.
So, yeah, just go for it.
I mean, yeah, I mean, just go for it.
I think I got some shoulder in there.
Like, what is this?
What is this?
Look at that grumpy face.
It was a fun scene.
What is there to say?
It was just a good time, really.
So, yeah, an awesome cameo once again
in Wargaming's fabulous production.
So, guys, I did actually manage
to meet Benedict with Tanya.
Tanya is wearing normal clothes.
And let me tell you,
this was totally my summer attire.
Yes, even to the socks, the high socks
and, like, the suede shoes.
Absolutely phenomenal.
No, this, of course, was the costume
for the cameo role that I had to play.
And, yeah, to be fair,
I got more compliments on set
wearing these clothes
than I think I've ever had compliments
in my life.
So, maybe I need to change my attire.
Maybe I don't need to wear, like,
hoodies and gamer outfits.
I should get the fancy bow tie.
I guess we're going to call it, like,
the turtleneck jumper here.
So, Tanya took a few extra
behind-the-scenes photos.
And, yes, very fetching.
Very fetching indeed.
Absolutely majestic.
Look at the shoes as well.
Just incredible.
The set was actually pretty wild.
So, everything that you saw
was pretty much shot within this box.
So, they just created his,
shall we say his office
or, like, his clinic,
his therapy room there.
And then they had another set
which was for the elevator scene as well
that I guess that I don't know
where they actually did
the parts of the office.
But it's always amazing
when you go and see these production studios
how they managed to create these sets
inside these amazing
just wooden constructs.
It's baffling.
A little bit of information
for behind-the-scene as well
was that originally
there were a couple things
that was going to happen.
One, we were meant to blow a bubble.
But Mouse couldn't blow a bubble
so they tried to get me to blow a bubble.
But, literally, this bubble gum,
even though it was meant to be, like,
the bubble-blowing stuff,
I'm obviously out of practice.
I couldn't blow this bubble for a while.
So, I'm there frantically.
Everyone's, like, waiting around me.
And I'm there trying to, like,
choo-choo-choo-choo-choo
because obviously you have to get it
into a position where, like,
the sugar's, like, broken down, right?
And then it's got the elastic in it.
No, it didn't happen.
So, then they decided
that they would try me
with a candy cane in my mouth.
But they said it was too suggestive.
So, I guess they would have had to
have put the rating up
of the video a little bit.
So, in the end,
there was no candy cane.
There was no bubble gum.
There was just a smile
and then a shoulder barge.
So, what have I got to say
about meeting Benedict Cumberbatch?
Well, of course, he's very busy.
It was kind of just, like,
a meet and a photo
and just a quick hello.
Tanya actually managed to get him
to sign one of her therapy books,
which was pretty cute.
But all in all,
he seemed like a really nice,
genuine, welcoming guy.
So, either he was very good
at putting on the face.
I don't really think that.
I think he just seems to be that way.
The way that I got to see him work on set
was entirely professional
and you can really see,
having been there
and meeting Vinnie Jones
and then Jason Statham
and now having the opportunity
and the pleasure to watch
Benedict Cumberbatch work,
how professional these big names are
and why they probably managed
to get so much done
in such a small amount of time.
So, all in all,
I'm really looking forward
to getting my hands on
Benedict's commander
inside the game as well
to see what kind of an attitude
he brings,
whether he's going to go for like that
dry, straight-laced British approach
or whether he's going to try
to incorporate some of the many
also voice acting roles
into his performance
as we get to have the opportunity
to collect him as a commander
inside the game
and put him into a vehicle.
And do let me know
in the comments down below
if you think there are any lines
that Benedict might be able to squeeze
into the script.
And also, specifically,
what vehicle would you put
Benedict Cumberbatch
in inside World of Tanks?
Anyway, ladies and gents,
boys and girls,
that was the reveal
of the new commander
for the 2026 Holiday Ops season
and a little bit of
behind-the-scenes information
about what it was like
getting to meet Benedict
and also just to see
the man honing his craft
and demonstrating it
inside the production studio
at Warner Bros. Watford.
Anyway, really hope you enjoyed this video.
If you did, give it a thumbs up.
If you hated it,
give it a thumbs down.
And let me know in the comments
whether you are as excited
as some people
about Benedict Cumberbatch
being inside World of Tanks.
And if you're watching this video
as it goes live on Friday,
I'm going to be going live
all day on Twitch.tv
forward slash QuickyBaby
with something really exciting.
And that is that finally
after all of these years,
I can buy the Chieftain
on my main account.
So come along
and see if it was worth the wait.
And I've also got some new drops
as well starting at
four o'clock UK time today.
So, as always,
have an amazing Holiday Ops.
Whatever you guys get up to inside it.
And as always,
thank you so much for watching.
You've been epic.
And hopefully I'll see you soon.
