Police pursuit ends with driver crashing into SEPTA bus, another car in Center City Philadelphia

A state police pursuit through Center City Philadelphia late Tuesday night ended with a crash and the arrest of a man wanted on multiple warrants, authorities said.

Troopers attempted to stop a black Chevrolet Impala near 33rd and Spring Garden streets around 11:30 p.m. after observing the vehicle driving erratically, according to state police spokesperson Trooper Paul Holdefer.

"Troopers were attempting to stop a black Chevy Impala who fled from them," Holdefer said.

Police said the driver, identified as Marcus Stewart, sped away down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and then JFK Boulevard before reaching 11th Street. #philadelphia #fyp
