Yes, I'm back with another mystery jar and this mystery box.
Now this jar is way more expensive than the usual 50 bucks.
This is smaller and it's $60.
Usually when they're smaller, they're a lot cheaper.
So I'm thinking to myself,
what could be in this jar that's worth $60?
Now I did look at the jar before I bought this
and let me show you how I did that.
I've got exclusive footage.
Let's take you back to when I actually bought this jar.
All right, there's a jar right here.
Right here, $59.
So it's like usually $49 and this one's 59.
And usually the smaller ones are even cheaper.
They're usually like 39 bucks.
But let's see if we can see anything on the outside.
Maybe a couple of things.
See if there's anything.
Right there.
Yep, this piece right here.
All right, we're getting this jar.
Now as you can see,
I really examined that jar before I purchased it.
I knew I had to find something on the outside
that was worth value.
And this piece right there
is what was the value in this jar.
I sold a smaller version of that charm
for $250 within this last year.
So for $60, I'm buying this jar
and I have to see what's inside.
Now this mystery box, we're gonna bring back and use.
And I'm gonna show you how I test all my metal.
So what's in this box is gonna help us do that.
But right now we're gonna rip open this jar.
But before we do, we've gotta get the gloves on.
So while I'm getting these gloves on
is the time that you should be making sure
that you are subscribed to this channel
so you don't miss any of these jewelry hauls
and miss any of this free education.
So you can go out to the thrift store
and do exactly what I do and make a little extra cash.
One shot.
There's like a plastic bag over the tape.
So it's like double wrapped for your protection.
So I'm already seeing S-T-E-R, that's sterling.
I see a little 925 right here.
I see a lot of tiny little silver and gold pieces.
So, oh, I see a little earring here.
I see a little sterling here.
This is gonna be a good jar.
Now how good, I don't know,
but at least I know I have that little pendant in there
that's gonna make me my money.
All right, let's go.
You've gotta look at every piece
because you don't know which piece is gonna be plated,
which piece is gonna be costumed,
which piece is gonna be real.
This is a real necklace right here.
You can see this little necklace right here.
I'm gonna take that apart
and that should be a sterling necklace.
All right, so we've got our first sterling silver necklace.
This is marked Italy, 925 right on that clasp.
And then we've just got a nice, simple necklace.
All right, so a tiny little necklace.
Like I said before, if they're not broken,
I take these and I put these aside
and put pendants on them and sell them on eBay
for an extra five bucks with the pendant.
All right, we've got an Alexanani bracelet.
These used to sell for a lot more back in the day.
Got two little arrows with like a teal
or light green background.
Usually put these in a giant lot
so I can make more money in one shot
instead of selling this for five bucks a piece.
So I'll put that aside.
Again, another Alexanani.
It's a little peace sign.
And then you can tell on the back,
it says right there, Alexanani.
These used to be huge.
Ooh, could that be gold?
Got this little tiny earring right here.
It has like little gems on the side.
It looks like it could be gold,
but it's silver, 925.
See if you can see that, 925.
It's actually on the earring back
and the actual earring itself.
So if I can find the match to that,
10 bucks, 15 bucks.
Little bit of sterling there.
Oh, this is cool.
This is a glass heart
and it is a gold wash sterling top.
So the necklace will go right in there.
Inside of there, it actually says S-T-E-R
right on the little end of that bow.
So that's beautiful.
I'll probably put that on,
I think I have a couple sterling chains
that are like gold washed.
And I'll probably sell that for like 20, 25 bucks.
That's a really nice piece.
Ooh, that's really cool.
I'm not gonna keep it, but look at that.
Ooh, that's trippy.
It's all made out of glass.
I don't think it's crystal,
but it is broken on the bottom,
but that's really trippy.
But in the discard pile it goes.
These are kind of cool.
These are earrings.
Again, I'm not keeping them,
but these are little dolphin earrings,
but the earring goes through your ear here.
So it looks like the dolphin
is like jumping through your ear,
but they're not gold.
They're not silver.
I'm not keeping these.
They're just cool.
A lot of cool stuff.
You just can't keep it all.
Oh, nice.
I love when I see this brand.
When this brand pops up,
I know it's quality and I know it's good.
So let me show you the logo that I just saw.
I don't know if you can see that logo right there.
If you've been following my channel for a long time,
you know that logo,
because I say it all the time to be looking out for it.
That is Silpata.
This is a little charm.
It's a little red, maybe garnet charm.
It clips on to a charm bracelet like that.
And I'm gonna guess that this is a 15 to $25 charm.
So that is a great charm.
That one makes me a little happy.
I'm getting a little,
I know I've got that pendant in here somewhere,
but I was getting a little bummed out
because usually we find a little bit more at this point,
but I like finding Silpata.
Here is another sterling earring.
Nothing crazy, just little gems on the outside,
little hoop.
It says sterling right here on this little stem.
If I can find the match, maybe 10, $15, but if not,
it's just gonna go into a sterling scrap pile,
but it's adding up.
I'd love to find more of that Silpata.
Oh, another little sterling earring.
Got a little ornate front,
and then it is marked on the back, 925,
with the maker's mark.
Nice little sterling earring.
Again, I have to find the backs to sell these as earrings.
I can't just sell it as a single earring.
If it's like a Tiffany or a David Yurman piece,
something really designer,
yep, I can sell it as a single,
but if it's something just a plain old sterling silver
run-of-the-mill earring,
you're gonna want the set for somebody to buy it.
So I know this is an earring.
It says S925CC.
CC must be the maker or the designer.
It's just a diamond stud,
and it's probably cubic zirconia,
but it's written very well,
so I don't know what CC is.
I'm gonna have to look that up.
If you know what this is,
definitely put it in the comments,
because you guys are always helping me out.
I'm teaching you, but you guys are also teaching me,
so if you know, put it in the comments.
Oh, this is cool.
Oh, this is really cool.
Okay, a ring.
Look at that really nice flower ring.
It's got a little abalone in the middle,
little abalone stone,
and then on the back, it is marked 925.
That's really nice.
Okay, that makes me happy.
I'm getting happy.
Oh, oh, I found the match, but it's missing some stone.
So here's the match to those earrings right there,
but it's missing a bunch of stones,
so honestly, I'm probably just gonna scrap these.
I'd rather just scrap them than sell them
and someone be upset about the quality.
So that does add up when you scrap
and scrap silver, the silver adds up.
Oh, oh, I found the other match to that 925CC earring.
So now we've got both of those really big studs.
So now I just gotta figure out what the S925CC means.
They're really big studs.
So the last time I saw a stud that big,
I was looking in the mirror, so.
Oh, this is really cool.
So I do not like seeing that.
If you've watched my videos before,
I hate seeing tags like this.
It means that this was sitting on the rack
and it didn't sell and they threw it in this jar.
I do not like seeing tags like that, but it is really cool.
So this is one side and then we turn it around.
It's got another little stone on that side.
Do you know what this is?
I knew it right away just by this little top.
So if you pull this little top out,
this is for like oils and perfumes.
Take it out, put your perfume on,
and then you put it back in.
I'm pretty sure that's what it's for.
If you think otherwise, let me know, but it's really cool.
I just don't think it's silver.
And I feel like you can buy these like
regular metal ones anywhere.
I don't think this is old.
I think this is made to look old.
I'm gonna put this in my discard pile,
but it is really cool.
I wish it was actually old and actually silver, but.
So I'm trying to see if I see any more.
Oh, a little gold color.
Little gold color.
Oh, wait a second.
I think it could be a gold earring.
I was gonna fool you guys and say it is not, but.
Yep, 14 karat gold.
Oh, that's beautiful.
It's probably just a cubic zirconium.
Alexa, is it pronounced cubic zirconia or cubic zirconium?
It's pronounced cubic zirconia.
Want me to spell it out for you?
No thanks.
Got it.
So it's probably just a cubic zirconia,
but it is on a 14 karat gold backing.
If I can find the match to this,
that will be like a $30, $40 set of earrings
because of the gold.
Any gold, any gold I'll take.
Told you, these little jars are always surprising.
I saw trefari.
I love trefari.
And this is, it looks like an older piece,
has some gemstones in it.
Look at that.
A little trefari elephant pin.
It's got the little blue looking stones with the red eye.
And then on the back, right there, trefari.
I'm gonna say something like this.
I would start it at $15.
Some of these can go in the triple digits.
So I'm gonna say about $15 to $25 conservatively.
But I love a nice vintage trefari piece.
Little wine glass.
Oh, sterling silver little wine glass.
Look at that.
Tiny little gold wash sterling wine glass.
And it's got the sterling backing as well.
That is a cute piece.
I wish I could find the match.
If I find the match, that will sell.
Little cute kitschy things like that, that will sell.
Oh, little 925 dragonfly pendant.
Just simple dragonfly.
It's got the 925 on one of the wings on the back.
I'll throw this on a necklace, 15, 20 bucks.
All right, we're getting there.
This was one of the earrings I saw
when I first dumped out the jar.
It says S-T-E-R, ster.
And then on the other side, it's just a little cat earring.
If I can find the match, 15 bucks.
Oh, this is nice.
It's not marked, but we will test this.
A tiny little turquoise earring.
That's actually really nice.
If I can find the match to that,
I would say around $25 or more.
Another little sterling earring.
Little gems there.
And then on the back, right there,
on the little clip piece around it, it says sterling.
Oh, another piece of silver.
Another earring.
I think actually we have the match to this one.
Another earring, another little hoop.
Another marking on the top of that clasp.
But no match.
Oh, yes match.
Yes match, we just found the match.
There we go.
Finally a match, geez.
There we go, matching hoops.
There we go, matching hoops, 15 bucks.
There we are, all right.
Geez, at least I find some sort of match.
A little charm here.
Oh, charm bracelet.
Oh, sterling silver charm bracelet.
Sterling silver Christmas charm bracelet, here we go.
All right, this is perfect for the holidays.
So it's got a snowman, a snowman sledding,
a snowman snowboarding, and a snowman ice skating.
Hold on before I say, let me double check.
All sterling silver.
And the bracelet is sterling silver too.
So right there, we've got the little snowman ice skating,
the little snowman on skis.
And then if you look on the back,
they all have that 925 and that little maker's mark.
I don't know what designer that is,
but that is a great bracelet.
I have to do the research on this,
but I would say conservatively 35 to $50
with four charms and a sterling bracelet.
I do have quite the pile over here.
I'm gonna keep going, taking this stuff out.
What is this?
Looks like a rose, oh, it's very tiny.
Oh, it's silver though.
All right, so it's broken.
I think maybe it was a bracelet or a piece of a necklace,
but it's just got a couple little balls on it.
I'll maybe throw a clasp on this
and sell it for like 15, 20 bucks if I can shine it up nice.
If not, it's just gonna go in the scrap pile.
What the hell?
Hold on, I gotta make sure this is actually what it is.
So this is a sterling silver earring.
It looks like little Nemo.
It's covered in enamel and you probably can't see it,
but on the back, underneath that top fin,
under the enamel, it says S925.
So it's just completely covered in enamel.
That's wicked nice.
I was about to throw that in my discard pile.
I really hope I can find the other one of these.
I've never seen a completely covered
enamel sterling earring like that.
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
I'm putting that aside.
Forget the earring, is this a little gold earring?
Whoa, it could be a gold earring here.
Oh, it is, but it's missing.
Oh wait, is that another one?
All right, that's sterling silver.
So we've got a little sterling silver.
We've got a little sterling, I just lost it.
But I just found another one.
What is going on?
All right, so I lost the sterling earring
that I wanted to show you.
I found another sterling earring.
This one is like a funky one.
It's got like two earrings.
It's got like a hoopy dangle part
and then it's got like a stud part on top
and that is silver.
And then I dropped one that I wanted to show you,
but then I can't read if this is gold or not,
but even if it is, it's missing a ball.
I think this is a nose ring.
Yeah, I think that says 10 carat gold.
It's a little diamond.
It looks like a nose ring.
It's got like a really weird hook to it,
but it's missing a ball right there.
And it says 10 carat, but we'll test that.
Oh man, that was a really messed up turn of events.
I was just finding stuff.
I just can't control my attention.
I just have to like, I see things and I want to grab them,
but okay, let's continue to get rid of some of this stuff.
Oh, there it is.
It's just a little, this was the one I dropped.
It's just a little tiny three stone 925 earring.
Nothing crazy.
Don't think I'll find the match.
Little buckets.
It's like a little bucket bracelet.
Doesn't say sterling,
but I'm definitely going to check that out.
I will test that and check that out.
Is that Michael Jordan's number?
No.
Is that Michael Jordan's number?
Alexa, what's Michael Jordan's number?
Oh, it's 14 carat gold.
Whoa, no way.
Four.
Michael Jordan's most famous number is 23.
Oh, it's not.
Okay.
Thank you.
Alexa, stop.
Oh my God.
It didn't, that threw me off.
So, so I showed you this 21.
I thought Michael Jordan was 21.
It's 23.
Duh, so stupid.
So 21, right?
The back, again, I don't know if you can see that.
I think it's made so you can interchange like the top of it.
You can like put any numbers you want.
And then it says 14 carat on the two and 14 K on the one.
This whole thing is gold.
1987.
So the maker is MA.
1987, 14 carat gold.
21 charm.
That's the score we were looking for.
Wow.
And that's easily sellable.
Kids turn 21 every single day.
A parent might want to buy that for their kid.
14 carat white gold.
21.
A kid's Jersey number.
21 that plays basketball, football, soccer.
The kid parent wants to buy it.
I will pair that up with a white gold chain
and I will be able to sell that
for like 60 to a hundred dollars for that charm.
And that's got some weight to it too.
That's got some big weight to it.
Oh wow.
That is the boom.
That's the boom right there.
Woo.
All right, let's keep looking.
Oh, little sterling earring.
Again, no match.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, did I find this one?
Ah.
No, I thought this was,
I thought we found one like this before,
but I don't think we did.
This one's marked on the back.
It's got a little like floral design.
925 and then little turquoise on the front.
Oh, here's a match.
Here's that other, I know we found this one, look.
So we got that match.
That's an easy 15, 20 bucks.
All right, so another match.
Oh, here it is.
This is the one right here.
I found it.
This is the one right here.
It's got the Fatima Mother Mary on the front.
It's got the little inscription on the back.
It's all painted.
And what people usually don't know
is on the outside of this,
it's 18 karat Portuguese gold.
And my other one was the exact same thing.
It's got that 18 karat edge
all the way around this porcelain painting.
It's got the little top right here.
And it's, if you look closely,
you can see it's like smushed at the top.
That little smushed piece is them putting the marking
of 750, the little Portuguese gold marking.
It's really hard to see,
but we will test this just to show you.
But this piece, a smaller version, I sold for $250.
This is the reason I bought that jar.
It's not a quick sell, but that's a beautiful piece.
I am putting that aside nice and easy.
That, along with the 14 karat white gold 21 pendant,
this is a jar that just kept giving.
So I'm gonna keep looking because we ain't done yet.
Another little Sterling charm with a little bird.
We found a cat chilling out.
We found a bird chilling out.
Oh, here we go.
Made in the USA.
It's a really nice,
I don't know if it's maybe like an earring top.
It doesn't have the top piece,
but I think it's supposed to be for an earring.
It's got those little dangles on the bottom.
And on the back, it says Sterling made in the USA.
Wait a second, I found more of these.
There's more of these in here.
I was looking through and I pushed them aside.
Where are they?
Oh, right here.
Are they Sterling too?
Oh, they are.
Oh, they're on the top of this one.
Okay, so I found two of these.
I pushed them aside.
It didn't look like Sterling silver,
but when you go on the back,
right on the top where they're supposed to have
maybe like an earring spot,
but they say Sterling up there.
Oh, I can definitely make these into earrings.
I have earring tops.
I've got the little wire earrings.
I will make these into earrings.
That's an easy $25, $35 right there.
Good size earring.
They look homemade.
Oh, that's great.
All right, we're coming down to the last of it.
This looks like Sterling silver, but it's not marked.
We'll test it.
It's not marked, but it's like a rose with a rose dangle.
Putting out our testing pile.
And we will be testing here with you.
So stay put because I have that mystery box
and this is how we're going to test them.
All right, look at that, two matches in one spot.
But are they Sterling?
Nine, two, five.
That's the easiest find.
They're together.
They're like little amber stones on the back.
Nine, two, five.
Great, 15, 20 bucks.
All right, we have a tiny bit left,
but I did find, where is it?
Right here.
I did find the match to that little wine charm.
These are Sterling silver, white crystals,
little wine glasses.
Those will sell.
These are cute.
People buy those in the summertime, springtime.
20, 25 bucks.
So that was nice, I found the match.
You have all been asking me to show you
how to test gold and silver.
And now I'm going to show you with my acid testing kit.
So let's go grab the jewelry we need to test
and let me show you how to do it.
So this is everything that we have
that we know is Sterling silver.
Stuff that has matches and stuff
that's going to be resellable.
All this stuff definitely paid for the jar,
but then this is the real moneymaker, all the gold.
We have that earring, the belly button ring,
the 21 and that 750 18 karat gold charm.
All right, so as you can see, that was another great jar.
I've got my testing kit out here.
I've got the stuff that I already know is silver and gold.
And then I've got the stuff that we have to test
that I don't know if it's Sterling silver or gold.
So we're going to test this stuff
and I'm going to show you how to do it.
We're going to come in real close here.
This is my box for acid testing.
This is how I tell if things are silver or gold.
We've got a couple of things in here.
This is the stone that I do my scratches on.
And then I have 10 karat solution,
14 karat solution and 18 karat solution.
And this 18 karat solution also works
on how I test my Sterling silver.
And I'm going to show you that.
The 18 karat charm, I'm going to go really careful on this.
All I'm going to want to do is put a very light
little scratch on it.
And then I take my 18 karat solution.
As you can see, you can still see it.
That's 18 karat gold.
Let's test this one here.
This was, we think is 10 karat gold.
This one, it's missing a little ball
so I don't have to be super cautious about it.
So I'm going to give that a nice hard rub.
That's the 10 karat gold one.
And then I'm going to do the 14 karat gold one
right next to it.
So first I'm going to go in with the 10 karat.
That's this one.
Make sure it's 10.
I'll put a little on the 14 just in case.
And then I'm going to go in with the 14 karat solution.
That on the 14, that on the 10.
Yep.
So you can see how the 10 karat solution is nice and bright.
14 karat solution is dissolving a little bit.
So this one is 10 karat gold.
This one is the 14 karat gold.
So now for silver, I'm going to move to my bigger block
because I have a lot of silver items.
I'm going to use this sterling silver shot glass
that I just found from one of my last videos.
Go check out the reel.
It's a pretty cool video.
I found this at the thrift store.
But I know this is sterling
because it says it on the bottom.
So we're going to make this our variant
that we know is sterling.
And then I'm going to rub some of these things.
I'm going to rub the bracelet.
I'm going to rub these hoops.
I'm going to rub this earring right here.
And I'm keeping them all in line so I know which one's which.
I'm going to rub this little charm.
I'm going to rub this little stone that I found
that says believe.
I'm going to rub these.
A lot of things.
There's two of these.
I'm going to rub these roses.
Again, I'm trying to keep everything in order.
And then this cross right here.
This little dolphin.
It's not good when it doesn't show up on it.
And then these, I did the magnet test
and they magnetized, so it's definitely not.
And actually I should magnetize these,
see if any of these are.
Okay, none of those are.
And now I'm going to take my 18 karat solution
and we're looking for a milky white color.
Milky white.
That's starting to turn milky white.
I know that that is 100% silver.
This one's turning milky white.
This one's not.
This one, this one, this one's not.
This one is.
This one's not.
All right, so this, as you can see, just to show.
This is.
This is not.
This is.
This is not.
This is.
This is not.
And this is.
So there's my sterling and this is not.
You gotta take the chances.
You gotta be smart.
Make sure that you're looking around in that jar
because every one of these videos is meant to teach you.
