Wear–Tyne Derby Delight ｜ Sunderland AFC 1 - 0 Newcastle United ｜ Premier League Highlights

Xhaka, Lefebvre, Xhaka again. There's the delivery, there's the header from... He came flying in, far post, and he couldn't get the direction he wanted on it. Mukieli does go long, right into the heart of that six-yard box, away as far as Granit Xhaka. Here's Mukieli. Delivered nicely into the penalty area, it's headed, and an own goal from Baltimore! Oh, Sunderland strike early in the second half. And look at the scenes, it's a goal that means so, so much, no matter who's put it into the net. It's a Newcastle player, it's a Sunderland goal, that means the world to these fans. And Sunderland lead in the wear-time derby. It is an enormous, a massive goal. Headed powerfully beyond his own goalkeeper. Baltimore, seeing it fly past Aaron Ramsdale. It was a great delivery from Mukieli. Here's Alderete, Alderete's ball forward, it's a good one, it's Wilson Isidore, it's Isidore! Good save, Ramsdale. Isidore controlled it brilliantly, and got the shot away superbly well. It was on target all right, but saved by the goalkeeper. Nicely done that by Isidore. On the chest, and then on the volley. And on target too.
