Tang Dynasty was Founded by a Princess? The REAL Princess General Pingyang | Tea with Amy
rincess Píngyáng (平陽公主) is one of the most remarkable women in Chinese history that you've likely never heard of. Before the rise of the female Emperor Wǔ Zétiān, this incredible woman, the daughter of Emperor Gāozǔ, played a crucial role in founding the Tang Dynasty. Raised as a warrior, she defied expectations to raise her own Army of the Lady and personally led them to victory, clearing the path for her father's takeover. CORRECTION: Princess Píngyáng is called Lǐ Sānniáng (李三娘) because she is the third daughter of Lǐ Yuān, not because she is the third child. We don't know her exact birth year, but many sources seem to suggest that she was an older sister to Lǐ Shìmín (李世民), and not a younger sister as I said in the video. But we don't know for sure.
