Hello Ed I'm Margot Robbie I'm Scarlett Hessen our designer Welcome to the new offices of Luckychap We can't wait to show you everything You are now in the entrance area We naturally needed a place where people feel comfortable when they come for meetings or similar The room is twice as high so a few colorful hanging lights are needed It reminds me of the 1950s This is a very famous old sofa by Danish designer Wilhelm Larritzen We had it reupholstered in a fresh mint color It is not an uncomfortable waiting area Hopefully no one is sitting too close The color tones throughout the room are natural and soft Scarlett put in a lot of effort The room was quite simple very specific and had a slightly industrial feel The exposed rock face was already there but instead of trying to hide it We thought let's let them and set them a bit in the spotlight Also in the end it turned out to have a sort of Mid-Century flair Still funny but at the same time high-quality and elegant This was all open on the left side and we set up this type of individual offices and the assistants' desks placed in the center to have a central hub where everyone can communicate more easily The chairs are also visible in the Barbie movie when sitting in the Mattel CEO's office and all Mattel employees are sitting on pink chairs These are the chairs We had them reupholstered because at the end of the film they were quite expensive I was wondering what's going to happen to the chairs They are classic Sarin office chairs So I thought can we have them please This is probably one of the first artworks I've ever bought from an artist I really think is cool It's naturally quite big and wouldn't fit on any wall in my home We set it up in the office and it ultimately helped determine the color palette for the office Yes it was a good starting point that then led to the walls of this having a deeper meaning Blue-green and the red tones that they will see in the rest of the room Actually no one wanted this office Everyone thought oh the room is so strange I don't want to have an office there And then we thought maybe we could use it as a storage room And I thought to myself no this is going to be my office And Scarlett was obviously brilliant at using a very unusual form And now I like it Yes we had to integrate it somehow Yes that could not be moved We designed the desk and the bookshelf as a single unit And then it's nice for you that you can hold meetings facing it I think that's another practical feature Behind all these curtains you have whiteboards But it's just nice not having to take everything off the whiteboards between meetings I can just hide them This is a small cozy reading nook And this chair is actually called the Margot Chair And this is a really funny lamp that has a finished design It has tassels I told Scarlett that I wanted a bright office I wanted many comfortable seating options because I read a lot Making this entire area into a large sofa was probably the first thing we designed together with the paneling and the desk We bought the lamp together in Paris And then we used natural materials wherever possible Light The view is naturally not that great But even through the frosted glass natural light still comes in We are in the kitchen This room is used very often Most employees of the company gather here Everyone comes together here There is always something to eat in the refrigerator The employees have breakfast lunch and sometimes dinner We wanted everything to be very clean and minimalist Respect the architecture of the space and make it open Honestly some employees of the company are very good cooks and take good care of themselves The air fryer is heavily used but doesn't look nice on the countertop Therefore we have now put it away I think people really use the oven and bake really delicious eggs No that sounds very generous doesn't it Yes breakfast feels like everyone is making eggs for everyone else Yes yes I love this This is one of my favorite types of lighting in the office I really like white lights and I think we need something here that adds a bit of contrast Embrace the neutral color palette But the entire room is very mid-century style yet minimalist And these are a beautiful example of that I think every office has its own style and many are darker For example the kitchen was simply brighter and thus this room seems a bit more open and inviting when you walk in in my opinion I think it's like sitting at the bar and having a drink Yes we're coming to the bar right away We needed a space on the stairs to store all our books We had many books and it was also too embarrassing to place awards anywhere else in the office So we styled them a bit We hid her a bit between the books and that's probably a modest way for us to show off And this chair is really cool We bought him at an auction and he is actually an artwork from the 70s that was sold as a kit that you had to assemble yourself I had him reupholstered with a nice orange fabric to give people a little moment to read I don't want to lie there's no one there I know it just looks fantastic Welcome this is the screening room We wanted to make sure that everyone every employee has a place here So we had to get a really big sofa This beautiful corner sofa from Elison Sweden And then we have these really cool chairs which are very comfortable Then there are also pre-made benches that fit under the TV And that's actually your old kitchen island That would have been our kitchen island Then we converted it into a coffee table because we couldn't find one big enough It really worked perfectly I think it's cozy here because of the dark color and the slightly darker shades But also because we are currently in the intermediate stage We have these curtains made from a slightly thicker material which I think reduces noise in the rest of the office But it also gives it a cozy cinema atmosphere I think these vintage wall lamps I got from an old cinema in Paris We had them sent over because they felt suitable for the screening room Usually with BNO speakers people wonder how to hide the speakers But when they are really nice you think oh no then let them out People watch movies They watch the cuts of films we edit Because were on set everyone else in the office wondered what was happening on set Sharing it with everyone is a beautiful moment that extends into the conference room The table is huge When we hold our large company meetings we often end up here We end up here at all the officially empty meetings Horst Allen designed this table and we gave it a pink color tone to celebrate the success of Barbie which we had when we put everything together Of course in our opinion every good office should have a functioning bar So we have our bar here We wanted to create a 1940s-style bar that would go well with the painted table We also chose this maple bell and this beautiful red marble that actually looks like wood along with some Swedish brass details that make the glasses sparkle Oh there's a beverage car The idea was that someone could drive around in a car when hosting a party and we actually did that He just pulls out the beverage cart It's great But since Gio has kindly dressed him up for us and served us Guinness we get to choose a new cocktail from the tap every few months This is dangerous but also wonderful Everyone loves Guinness I love Guinness Yes it's really hard to get a good Guinness in L A This is good It is creamy And if you know how to pour it it's I won't do it because my Irish friend will kill me If you have a fresh keg and the hoses are clean then Guinness always tastes much better Can everyone join in No I mean I try all the time but I can't do it Every time Pretty much Are you joking I mean it depends on how many I've already had Yes Can you imagine how that would work in a job application Buy people a Guinness share the G and you're hired We wanted to use our outdoor area and design it so that people would actually come here and eat lunch or hang outside Here We are naturally in Laar so the weather is always good and it's always worth going outside It was once again an somewhat unfavorable form but Scarlett made the best of it Yes We had these planters built to create a sort of green edge because it was very harsh up here And so movement arises among the plants which is quite pleasant when a breeze blows The orange looks simply funny The chairs around the table are in the mid-century style It has a playful somehow truly Californian feel yet still elegant which fits the brand I mean most of the time people sit up here and have lunch and drink a Guinness We even have Hugo on tap now I'll treat myself to one Yes Oh that's funny I know A small coffee station in the kitchen If you're a coffee nerd you'll definitely appreciate this That's the rocket One must essentially be an experienced barista to make coffee in this office The equipment is very high quality Tom made us all take a lesson from a real barista who came and showed everyone how to use the machine Now anyone can make really good coffee Fairly speaking we have just switched to soft water That's a big deal The device is out of control It is lost It is here to stay It is probably even more carefully maintained than the Guinness Rooster above which is saying something Yes the ceramic mugs are from a local potter Peter Sh Actually Tom got them He fell in love with them But it's a really good coffee machine And it makes really good coffee And I can use it Honestly when they come by we'll make them some coffee They won't be angry We are in Tom's office He has a very nice office I guess he slightly exceeded his budget It is a beautiful office This carpet is amazing It is such a vibrant color Everything we put on it looked great This is a vintage sofa that I actually tried to hang in your house And then I thought it doesn't fit Then it fits here Also I put it here And this artwork looks fantastic on the blue wall One of my favorite artists maybe even my favorite artist Taka Yamaguchi I really wish that were in my office But anyway Then we had the exposed rock wall which looked really great in the end That's pretty James Bond Very embarrassing Actually we don't need to show it at all I painted this I don't know why It always makes me embarrassed That's pretty James Bond So I made it taste good to him Like this desk the lamp the wall I think he was some kind of bad lawyer That was good A good way to say it Tom loves antiques and vintage pieces Things that have a story You both are You like things that have some kind of story and give a room character And you also collect something like that on our trips This little shark we found in Italy Yes So yes And Tom likes to sleep on this couch Takes many naps on this couch Go this way This is Joe's office I also really like this office Yes I love the carpet here Even more newly upholstered Barbie chairs And we also got Josy a beautiful vintage desk by Milo Bowman Then there are also these side tables in the same style which are vintage And Josy has this poster I've had this poster for so long And it was in a way the first one I knew I had to work with here And it's great where it is Then all your potential projects will hang On the wall at the front When we started the project I knew there would be many walls to cover And each one is beautiful Because many of the employees have their own offices which I would like to personally design for them I asked you which favorite movie poster you have as a starting point And then I talked to each of them about the art they like the colors they hate and so on Then I compiled the collections that are in every office An office of a person That they came by Et We hope they enjoyed the tour of the office We have to get back to work now See you later
