Nestled between sparkling lakes and snow-dusted peaks, Zürich is Switzerland’s largest city, where nature, culture, and city life blend seamlessly. In this travel guide we'll show you the very best of the city in winter, heading to beautiful restaurants, unique attractions, and walking through centuries worth of history.

We'll begin our long weekend in Zürich itinerary by heading out on a tour of the old town. Known as Altstadt, the centre of the city is divided in two by the River Limmat and boasts treasures such as a 130 year old heritage funicular, a cathedral with a bird's eye view of the city, and plenty of medieval architecture. We'll spend the evening discovering Zürich's best Christmas markets and illuminations.

During the second day of our trip, we'll discover lakeside life by heading to the Lindt Home of Chocolate and then we'll head to see one of the most important succulent and cacti collections in the world. In the afternoon we'll head up to Uetliberg, Zürich's small mountain.

On the final day of the trip we'll head into some world-class museums, like the Kunsthaus, the FIFA museum, and the Swiss National Museum. Along the way we'll visit plenty of hidden gems and share tips to help you plan your next trip to the Swiss city!
