Ever feel like it's so cold that it's impossible to look cute?
Well, fret not, I'm here for the rescue.
Thermal underwear is like actual underwear in winter.
I don't go out without them.
For the mid-layer, I'll throw on a half-zip wool sweater and zip it all the way to the top
because baby, it's cold outside.
I'm styling it with these comfy wide-leg sweatpants.
They're made with fleece cotton and extremely warm.
Paired with these chunky boots, they actually look kind of nice.
Now, let me put on this shearling jacket that I just scored secondhand.
This is genuine shearling, and to quote myself, it's warm as ----.
Now, all I need to do is to put on some warm accessories and voila.
Chic, warm, and comfy.
You can have it all.
A wise person once said,
once you put on a pair of sweatpants, you wouldn't be able to take them off.
She was lying.
For this look, I'm wearing a nude thermal top as my base layer instead
because I'm gonna style these black sweatpants with a white sweatshirt.
I know, groundbreaking.
And since I'm feeling adventurous, I'll put on some white shoes too.
Now, let me throw on this cute puffer.
It's filled with goose down, so don't you worry about me freezing my kidneys off, ma.
And of course, warm accessories are a must.
I may be a potato, but I'm a classy potato.
I can't seem to take off my sweatshirt either, so let's just keep it going.
For this look, I'm putting on a pair of nude thermal leggings
because I'll be wearing matching white sweatpants.
A full sweatsuit is my comfort zone, literally.
But if you think I let myself look like a bum, oh no no.
I'm gonna style this with a white faux fur coat for a touch of elegance.
It seems as though grey is all the rage this year,
probably because of the looming recession,
so I'll throw in some grey for the occasion as well.
To continue the theme of the recession, let's do another grey outfit.
I'm wearing this grey wool turtleneck sweater as my second layer,
paired with these grey wool pants.
And let's throw in a grey cashmere cardigan as a third layer.
Well, when your wallet's thin, at least your outfit isn't.
Now I'll add my fourth layer, a grey herringbone wool coat.
Although it isn't a thick coat in and of itself, I'm toasting one with four layers on.
I'll top it off with a grey wool beanie too.
Now that's how you look put together in a recession.
Well, these are dark times, but not that dark.
I use my white top as a base layer sometimes
because that's how you maximize the use of your items.
For this look, I'm styling a white cashmere turtleneck sweater with black vegan leather pants.
It's a perfect juxtaposition of soft and hard and my favorite black and white.
I just love the contrast.
As if this isn't contrasting enough, plot twist, I'm throwing on a casual puffer jacket.
Didn't see that coming, did you?
Well, who says puffer jackets are only for casual days?
Stay fab, stay unpredictable, that's the style manifesto.
Other than my white cashmere turtleneck sweater,
I also love my new secondhand white cashmere cable knit turtleneck sweater.
The cable knit pattern adds even more juxtaposition to the outfit.
I'm styling this with my white faux fur coat again.
Yes, I can style this coat up or down too.
This is the power of versatility.
Now let me put on my new favorite shearing bucket hat.
That's right, on the days when I need to be more dressed up, I can also look bougie as ****.
Since I love this cable knit sweater so much, here's another outfit with it.
First, let me put on fleece lined pantyhose.
But no, I'm not about to put on a dress.
Surprise, surprise, I'm gonna wear these black skinny jeans.
They're pretty tight, so the pantyhose kind of help keep them in place
while providing an extra layer of warmth.
Now I'll put on my good old black faux fur coat.
Yes, it's either black or white for me.
And I'm styling this with my shearling bucket hat again.
There you go.
Easy, breezy, bougie, cover girl.
Well, I'm too lazy to take off these skinny jeans.
So here's another look with them.
I'm wearing this black half zip wool sweater again.
And I'll put on these chunky boots to add a bit of balance to the outfit.
Now it's time for this white puffer jacket to shine.
Yes, it's the exact same style as my black puffer.
And just like the other one, this is yet another casual chic outfit.
Except now I kind of look like a marshmallow on a stick.
Well, bite me.
As a proud self-proclaimed outfit repeater,
I'm wearing my white cashmere turtleneck sweater again.
This time though, I'm styling it with a pair of snow pants.
Now you might be wondering, how is that gonna work?
And oh my god, an ultralight down too?
That's just scandalous.
Well, before you call the fashion police,
let me complete my look with this black bomber jacket.
This is my trick to turn any jacket that isn't warm enough into a proper winter jacket.
And I'll throw in some color-coordinated winter accessories as well.
Now this, my friend, is how you look gangster in the snow.
On the days when I don't feel like dressing up, aka 99% of the time,
I'll just be chilling in my black sweatsuit.
It's not just my comfort zone, it's like my home.
Since my neck feels kind of exposed, I'll throw in a black scarf.
And I'll put on this black puffer jacket again.
I know I said puffer jackets are not just for casual days,
but they can also be for casual days.
If you run into me on the street, I'll most likely be looking like this.
Sometimes I'm okay with just being an indistinguishable walking garbage bag.
