Stepping past the overgrown moat and broken windows, we found a true time capsule hidden in the fog. While mold is claiming the exterior, the inside feels hauntingly alive. Everything belonging to the former owners is still there, arranged as if they never left.

Highlights: Keep your eyes peeled for the insane master bedroom frozen in time, and wait until you see the unbelievable tunnel system we discovered hidden beneath the castle foundations.

The History: Originally built in 1428 as a moated stronghold during the Hundred Years' War, this estate has survived centuries of turmoil. During the French Revolution, a massive renovation ended in disaster when a fire gutted the interior, leaving the castle abandoned for nearly 100 years.

Fortunately, it was saved from ruin in the late 1800s and repurposed as an agricultural estate, serving the local community until modern industry led to its neglect once again.

The Last Residents: The final guardians were a couple we’ll call Margrid and Alfred. Alfred passed years ago, leaving Margrid alone in this massive property until she passed away at 96. Their toothbrushes are still standing in the bathroom today.
