The archer fish (or archerfish) may look like an ordinary fish, the way they capture prey will stop you in your tracks! This carnivorous fish floats near the surface of the water, awaiting spiders and insects. Once prey is near, archerfish can gun down prey up to five feet above the water by spitting a jet of water from its mouth!
