all right what's up guys we're out here
with day four of the rail tutorials that
i've been doing today the trick tip that
i'm doing is back slides
back slides are where you do a normal
slide but
you lift up your front foot so you're
sliding on only your back foot it's a
pretty hard trick and i'm honestly not
the best at them but i'm gonna do my
best to teach you guys today so
you should have a smooth and be super
confident in your rail slides before you
try to do a backslide so i'm going to
show you guys how to
slide the rail and then you can start
working into lifting up your front foot
to do back slide
okay so when you're first trying your
backsleds i would recommend to do them
on a super short rail it doesn't really
matter if it's like a tube
a box a handrail the shorter it is and
the faster you go the easier it is to
kind of just like lift up your foot and
tap it the longer the rail it
is the more challenging it's going to be
to do the whole backslide because
it's pretty scary to commit to sliding
on one foot the entire time but the best
way to work up to it on long rails is
just to start
by lifting your foot up for as long as
you can and hold it but if you get
scared or feel like you're gonna slip
out you can just put your front foot
down and save it so i'll show you guys
how to work into it
so as you saw there i started at the
beginning of the rail with my foot up
but then i got scared so i put my foot
down to save it the main thing i had a
problem with when i was learning these
was not trusting myself
when you feel like you need to put your
foot down you just got to hold it up and
hope that you
you stay balanced keep your arms wide
honestly helps you keep your balance
really good
okay so i'm going to go super fast and
hold my foot up for as long as i can and
i'm gonna probably end up coming off
switch because that's just usually how
it ends up going
that wasn't the best example i had a
bunch of dirt on the bottom of my skis
so i didn't have a lot of speed
i'm gonna try to show you guys a better
one so you have an idea of what it
should look like
all right here we go
[Music]
okay so that's it for this tutorial i
know it's pretty short but it's a pretty
straightforward trick you just gotta
trust yourself be confident and it
honestly takes a lot of time to figure
it out and figure out
the balance of it but uh i'm gonna keep
doing these tutorials let me know what
tricks you guys want to see and i'll try
to get them done
thank you guys for watching like and

think of these tutorials peace out
