Ronaldo Jr vs Thiago Messi - The Ultimate GOAT Battle

Messi vs. Ronaldo It's the most asked question in football. Everybody has a favorite. From pundits... The stats say Ronaldo's better. The mirror says Ronaldo's better. The money says Ronaldo's better. The trophy case says Ronaldo's better. Ronaldo is not the greatest player of all time. But Messi, as a player, can take you to a place where you can't actually believe what you're seeing. To players... I think Messi is the best player in the world. Even freaking movie stars... But with best free kicks... Skill moves... Shooting... Dribbling... And more. So firstly, let's take a look at some of the crazy nutmegs these kids can pull off. Because just like their fathers, they're both beasts at nutmegs. Just take a look at what Ronaldo Jr. did in a game for Man United's academy. Yeah, Jr. can pull off crazy nutmegs just like his dad. But Thiago's nutmeg for Inter Miami was even crazier. Gee, Thiago dazzled that defender with an unbelievable nutmeg. He's already looking like a mini Messi. Thiago has got to win on nutmegs. That was crazy. But one of the most important things for a forward isn't nutmegs. It's shooting. And Thiago and Jr. both have great shooting. Thiago can score on counterattacks like this. From a 1v1... And even finish with cheeky chips like this. But whilst Thiago's sh**, he can score bangers from distance... Volleys into the top corner... And most impressive, his junior can even score from overhead kicks. Man, Jr. really is just like his dad. I think Ronaldo Jr. wins on shooting. But despite Cristiano Ronaldo inventing the Ronaldo Chop, both Jr. and Thiago Messi have already mastered the move. Of course, Jr. is gonna be pulling out the Ronaldo Chop. It's in his DNA. And when he did it at the Man United academy, it was pretty impressive. He looked just like his father. But you might be more surprised when you see Thiago pull out the move. But that's exactly what he's been doing at Inter Miami. And despite being Messi's son, he can pull off a pretty insane Ronaldo Chop. Gee, the defender had no chance. Imagine if he grew up with Messi's playing style whilst pulling off Ronaldo's skills. But overall, I'm gonna have to call this one a draw on the Ronaldo Chops. Making it 2-2 overall. But when it comes to free kicks, it's definitely not a draw. Because Jr. is definitely best at scoring from set pieces. Jr. has definitely been taking lessons from Ronaldo Sr. Just take a look at this stunning strike from distance. Man, right in the top corner from way out. But it wasn't a fluke. Yeah, the Ronaldo family is clearly overpowered at free kicks. And as for Thiago, despite his dad being one of the best free kick takers in the history of football, we're yet to see his free kick talent. So on free kicks, Jr. takes this round. But when it comes to skills, both of them have been pulling off insane moves. Just like their fathers. Because at the Barca Academy, Thiago pulled off a crazy roulette just like his dad. I guess it's no surprise when his dad is a beast at roulettes. But it gets even crazier. Because Thiago's skills once even stole the spotlight from his dad's big moment. Because back in 2021, Thiago stole the show at Messi's PSG presentation. Just take a look at this cheeky backheel from Thiago. Thiago destroyed his brother with that move. Imagine him pulling this out in a match. But the skill moves Ronaldo Jr. did was even crazier. Because one of Jr.'s best ever moments was when he destroyed these defenders with an unbelievable la croqueta. Man, he looked like a pro. And that's not the only crazy skill move Jr. has pulled off. Because these skills ended with a crazy goal. When he did not just one, but two crazy skill moves to completely destroy the defense. In his first few weeks at the Juventus Academy, Jr. was under pressure. With his dad being the best player in the world back in 2018, youth coaches at Juventus were expecting big things from his son. But Jr. didn't disappoint. Just take a look at this. Jr. takes out one defender with a fake shot. And then that ball roll around the goalkeeper. Yeah, just like their dads. Both these kids are amazing at skill moves. But whilst both these kids are ballers out on the pitch with skills, goals, and nutmegs, Thiago has something that not many players can do. Because Thiago is even amazing in goal. Take a look at these saves. And Thiago even made a great save against Messi himself. Damn, not many players can make saves like that. Thiago's got the goalkeeping skills in his locker. That's a win for Thiago. So, overall, after looking at all the clips and the nutmegs, the goals, the dribbling, and the skills, it's a really tough decision. So, I'm gonna have you guys decide in the comments. Sure, Jr. might look a little better and more professional overall, but he's two years older than Thiago. So, it's difficult to judge how good Thiago will be at Jr.'s age. And with Lionel Messi's genes, who knows how good this kid could be in a few years. But one thing is for sure. Both these kids look like true ballers. And although it'll be incredibly hard to match their father's GOAT levels, as long as they're enjoying destroying defenders and playing the game, they can't lose.
