US Supreme Court to Hear Birthright Citizenship Case

The U.S. Supreme Court announced on Friday that it will hear a landmark case over the legality of President Donald Trump’s executive order aimed at ending birthright citizenship. The order, which was signed on his first day back in office, would prevent children born to illegal immigrants or some temporary residents from automatically receiving U.S. citizenship. Justices have not yet set a date for oral arguments, but a decision could come by mid-2026.
