So, when you are in Germany, it can happen that you get sick.
If you ever are in Germany, it could happen that you're sick.
Gesundheit!
I hope not, I hope not, but it can happen.
And in this video, I will show you the most important words when you go to the doctor.
In this video, I will tell you the most important words when you go to a doctor.
First of all, the doctor is the doctor.
And what is the female version?
Die Ärztin.
And normally, the doctor is in a practice.
It's called the doctor's practice.
And when you arrive, you go to the reception first.
Der Empfang.
And maybe you have an appointment.
Der Termin is the appointment.
And what you usually need is a medical card.
We also call it the chip card.
Und dann gibt es noch das Wartezimmer.
Was ist das?
The waiting room, exactly.
Oder was hast du?
Was führt dich zu mir?
What is, why are you here basically?
And then you tell them whatever you have.
So, the most common ones are
Husten.
Der Husten.
Dann schnupfen.
Spritzen.
dann machst du da was drauf?
Ein Pflaster.
Das Pflaster.
Ganz wichtig.
One word which sometimes confuses a little bit.
Das ist die Überweisung.
So die Überweisung can also be in a bank like a transfer.
Ich überweise dir Geld.
I transfer you money.
But in the doctor's office, die Überweisung bedeutet,
du gehst zu einem Spezialisten.
So that means you go to a special doctor.
Let me know in the comments which ones you learned.
Und ein kurzes Quiz.
Wie heißt das?
Es ist ein Blutdruckmessgerät.
Und wie heißt das?
Das ist ein Rezept.
Das Rezept.
By the way, Rezept is also a recipe when you cook something.
