A SHINY 1970s ERA MALL PRESERVED IN TIME - Mountaineer Mall - Morgantown, WV

Today we are in Morgantown, WV at the Mountaineer Mall! It’s so shiny and preserved as if it was still 1975 when it opened. The original anchors were JCPenney, Murphy mart, and Montgomery ward. There was an elder beerman at some point as well. The wards is now a kidney care center. There is also a former Walmart sitting as an industrial complex.
Inside is only a few community spaces and it feels eerily pristine untouched by time. Maintenance did a fantastic job preserving the gem. The plaza sits very empty too.
