A three-month journey has brought us to the Dominican Republic.
The 2025 CONCACAF Caribbean Cup Final kickstarts tonight as O&M plays host to Mount Pleasant.
It is leg one of the final here this evening. Two teams that came out of Group A collide here tonight.
And the whistle blows. Here we go. Mount Pleasant puts the ball in play but not out of danger yet.
Thomas bashes off of a defender. Third corner in less than seven minutes coming up.
Again and redirected and Lee starts the scoring in the Caribbean Cup Final.
His second goal of the tournament. Mount Pleasant won. O&M nil.
Walker dribbles, steps. Walker wallops. Gelbetsu with a good save. Twisting, falling.
Back up with it. Anglin crosses. One touch and out. Goal kick. Walker dodges. Walker wallops.
Gelbetsu with a great knee save. It's all about this pass that sets it up and then Walker.
That one maneuver finds space. I'll tell you what, Gelbetsu didn't know a ton about it.
It's going to be a foul. Is it going to be anything more than that?
Looks like the arm came up high. We'll get our first booking of the match.
So the first yellow card gets distributed in the field. Right there you see that contact,
that right arm getting up to John turning up. First half whistle blows right there.
An eight minute goal from Kamani Bailey. Second half starts. We're underway here in second half
action of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup Final. Franzetti to the middle. Franzetti fires from
long distance. Chambers measures it the entire way. This ball bounces down inside of the box
and a chance here. Cutting back. Dodging a man. Finishing. Raheem Edwards scores for the fourth
time. Handball that guides his path along here. Indeed. Handball. A tug of the arm, a foul,
and a booking as well. This one is going to go on Simon Cuello. Foot race here. Shot attempt
saved by Gelbetsu. Bradford is denied a chance to make it a second. Not done yet however. Ball
bends in. Gelbetsu catches. Franzetti goes down and this is some contact here and Phillips is
going to be shown a yellow card. Likely won't be enough time for anything to come out of this
for O&M. So it sets everything up for next week. 7 p.m eastern time will be the second leg of the
final. See Ramirez go in there. He does make contact with the ball but Tope. Full-time whistle
blows. Mount Pleasant is halfway home to a Caribbean Cup championship. Leg number one belongs
to the Jamaican group. Kamani Bailey's goal in the eighth minute is the difference tonight here in
Santiago, Dominican Republic. The final score it is Mount Pleasant one O&M nil.
