Festivals. All the countries in the world have special festivals. Let's look at some of them. China. Look at these beautiful buildings in China. Can you believe that they are not real buildings? They're made from ice. This is the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival. Harbin is in China. Every year in winter there is a festival in Harbin. They make sculptures from ice and snow. These are ice sculptures in Harbin. And this is a huge snow sculpture. At night there are coloured lights. The sculptures look very beautiful with the coloured lights. That's why people like to visit the sculptures at night. Let's look at another colourful festival in Spain. This festival is called La Tomatina and it's very famous. They grow a lot of tomatoes in Spain. Every year they have a tomato fight. For an hour everybody throws tomatoes at each other. It's very funny and very messy too. There's another festival which is a lot of fun. This festival is in Thailand. It's the Songkran Water Festival. Everyone throws water on that day to celebrate the Thai New Year. Even elephants take part in the festival. At the end of the festival everyone is very very wet. What festivals do you have in your country?
