Owning the Most Controversial Ducati Ever Made

So you think you own a Ducati 749? Until you actually own one, because nobody warned me
what it's like owning this thing. I mean, look, it's stunning. The lines, the sound,
the way people just stop and stare. You own a piece of history with this bike.
This bike is a 748cc L-Twin, clocking at 108 horsepower and a top speed of just around 150
miles an hour. Yeah, on paper, that's fast. And on the street, that's also fast. Now,
riding this bike, that's where it gets complicated. Let's talk about it.
This seat? Brutal. It's like sitting on a carbon fiber plank. And riding this bike under 4,000
RPMs? Yeah, not a single Ducati likes that. And don't even get me started on trying to find
neutral. I don't even think it exists. And these mirrors? Can't see ---- out of them.
It's a bike with an ego, and sometimes you're just along for the ride. But everything changes
once you get this thing on the road. The engine's loud, it corners sharp, and these shifts? They're
dramatic. And every once in a while, someone stops me and asks, is that a 749? That's a nice bike.
And I say, yeah. And they say, I haven't seen one of those in years. And you're right,
because these are rare. And when you see them, it's a special occasion. This 749 is from 2005.
Yeah, she's old, but she looks like she's from the future.
She's clean, mean, and a badass machine. She even sounds mean. Here, let's take a listen.
Yeah, it's a 2005. Pretty loud. So yeah, the 749? It's a complicated bike, and sometimes it makes
you angry. But it can also give you the best ride of your life, like any great love story.
Thanks for watching.
