Being the new kid on town is hard, but when you're Chansey the Antelope, everyone wants to be your
friend. Especially this curious monkey, who's become her best buddy and rides her back every
chance he gets. Chansey was found abandoned by her mother in South Africa. She was taken to the
Daktari Bush School, an orphanage for wildlife, where staff worried she wouldn't survive.
But Chansey surprised everyone. When she was healthy enough, volunteers let her mingle with
other animals. She quickly won the heart of the sanctuary's Rottweiler named Nikita,
and three white Maltese poodles who also lived there.
Then there were two curious marmosets, Thor and Leia, who couldn't get enough of Chansey.
Eventually, the monkeys crawled right onto her back whenever they could.
Since their introduction, Leia has passed and Chansey has been released into the wild,
but comes back every day. The staff says she's not interested in any of the other animals
currently at the orphanage, but Thor always reminds her where she came from
and jumps on her back every time. For InsideEdition.com, I'm Kelly Nealon.
