🎨 Wilhelm Schütze (born July 19, 1840, in Kaufbeuren; died May 13, 1898, in Munich) was a German genre painter.
Schütze was born in Kaufbeuren in 1840.In 1858, he was admitted to the classical painting class at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and studied under Sándor Wagner. After graduating, Schütze settled in Munich and worked as a freelance artist. Paintings by Schütze can be found, among other places, in the Neue Pinakothek in Munich and the Chemnitz Municipal Art Collection.
