#HealthInsurance #InsuranceComparisonAre you searching for the best health insurance plan for 2025 but feeling overwhelmed by options? In this video, we break down the top health insurance providers, their coverage options, and cost comparisons to help you make an informed decision!
Hey folks, there are more than 100 videos on this topic already available on YouTube.
Everyone has their own funda, everyone has their own choices.
But purchasing a best health insurance plan is a very difficult task.
Because all insurance companies give the title of best health insurance to their health insurance plan.
But when it's time to file a claim, this same best plan becomes the worst plan.
In my opinion, the best health insurance plan is the same health insurance plan
which doesn't bother you while filing a claim and easily settles your claim.
If we talk about the features, then all the features are secondary.
So in today's video, I have brought to you the comparison of the 7 best health insurance plans of the leading 7 health insurance companies in our country.
Watch this video till the end, don't skip it.
Share it with your friends and relatives.
If you have come to Insurance Seva for the first time, then subscribe to Insurance Seva and press the bell icon.
First of all, you should know which are these 7 health insurance companies and which are the 7 health insurance plans of these 7 health insurance companies.
I have taken the Elevate plan of ICC Lombard, Optima Secure of HDFC Ergo, Medicare, Premier and Light of Tata AIG, Active plan of Aditya Birla,
Neva Bupa's Reassure 2.0, Star Health's Superstar plan which has been launched recently, and Care Health's Ultimate Care plan which has also been launched recently.
So first of all, we will talk about the fundamentals of these 7 health insurance companies.
What is their claim settlement ratio? What is their claim ratio?
What is the status of their claims? What is their process? How many network hospitals do they have?
Folks, I have done a lot of research to get this data. It took me a long time to get the claim settlement ratio.
Because the claim settlement ratio is a controversial subject.
IRDA does not publish the claim settlement ratio on their website.
So, claim settlement ratio is available on many sites.
It was very difficult to find out which one is correct and which one is genuine.
It was very difficult to find out.
But I have done a research and I have compared and tallied that research with the claim settlement ratio of Insurance Seva.
Then I am going to publish it here.
So first of all, we will talk about ICC Lombard.
So their claim settlement ratio is 97%.
97% is a good claim settlement ratio.
All the claim settlements above 95% will be considered best.
The second number we talk about is HDFC Ergo 99%.
This is the best company.
I have been seeing this for many years.
It has been on its claim settlement for many years.
It is around 99% or 100%.
I have taken this claim settlement comparison from the website of Economic Times.
And after taking it from there, I compared it with the claim settlement ratio of Insurance Seva.
Which was almost the same.
If I talk about HDFC Ergo,
Then our own claim settlement ratio is 100%.
But 99% I have taken it from the website of Economic Times.
On the third number we will talk about Tata AIG.
So their claim settlement ratio will be 95%.
Aditya Birla 93%.
Neewa Bupa 92%.
Star Health 82%.
Here it is a little compromised.
If I talk about Star Health, then their products are also good.
Their premiums are also economic as compared to other products.
But here the claim settlement ratio and fundamentals are compromised.
Lastly, we will talk about Care Health Insurance.
So their claim settlement ratio will be 93%.
Now let's talk about the Incurred Claim Ratio.
So the Incurred Claim Ratio has recently been published by IAD in December on their website.
IC Selombat 79%.
HDFC Ergo 81%.
Which will be the best here too.
Tata AIG 78%.
Aditya Birla 68%.
Neewa Bupa 59%.
If we talk about Star Health, then 66%.
And if we talk about Care Health, then 58%.
Incurred Claim Ratio means how much total premium you have earned in a year.
And how much amount of claim have you paid against it.
Ideally, your Incurred Claim Ratio should be above 60%.
And it should also be below 80%.
If your Incurred Claim Ratio is below 60%, then it means that thought process is going to earn a little profit.
It is not customer oriented.
And it should be less than 80%.
Otherwise, you will be at a loss.
Then you will have to increase your premiums.
Now let's talk about Solvency Ratio.
If you want to know the fundamentals of an insurance company, then it is very important to know the Solvency Ratio.
Because Solvency Ratio tells you what is the capacity of that insurance company.
In other words, how strong is that insurance company financially.
In the coming time, how long can it survive.
If I talk about ICICI Lombard, then their Solvency Ratio is 2.68.
That means whatever total liabilities they have.
If there are liabilities of Rs. 100, then they have Rs. 268 against it.
That means they have more money and assets than double the liabilities.
HDFC Ergo, Rs. 1.68.
That means they have Rs. 168 assets and money against Rs. 100 liabilities.
Tata AIG, Rs. 2.09.
That means they have more than double the liabilities.
Aditya Birla, Rs. 1.67.
Neewa Bupa, Rs. 2.55.
They also have a lot of Solvency Ratio.
2.21 for Star Health.
And if we talk about Care Health, then their Solvency Ratio will be 1.74.
Now let's talk about Network Hospitals.
Network Hospitals are an important aspect.
Because you are purchasing a health insurance policy,
then you should know that
the number of Network Hospitals of the health insurance policy you are purchasing
all over India.
So, they have 15,000 plus ICICI Lombard.
They have 14,000 plus HDFC Ergo.
They have 10,000 plus Tata AIG.
Aditya Birla has 11,000 plus Network Hospitals.
Neewa Bupa also has 11,000 plus.
They have 14,000 plus Star Health.
They have 9,500 plus Care Health Insurance.
They have a good network of Network Hospitals.
Now let's talk about the reimbursement claim process.
I don't talk about cashless here because
the claim process of cashless is almost the same for all companies.
The same 30-day TAT and 3-hour TAT for final approval.
So, if I talk about the reimbursement claim,
ICICI Lombard, HDFC Ergo, Tata AIG,
Aditya Birla, Neewa Bupa,
all these companies have online claim process reimbursement.
They have their own links and apps.
You can upload your documents there and your claim is settled.
But Star Health is also compromised here.
Their reimbursement claim process is fully offline.
You have to intimate the insurance company here.
Within 15 days, you have to submit all the documents in their branch.
After that, your claim is settled somewhere.
If I talk about Care Health Insurance, they also have an online process.
You can also send their claim offline.
But they have an online facility available.
So, these were the fundamentals.
Now if I compare the fundamentals,
the number one here is HDFC Ergo.
If you talk about the claim process,
if you talk about the network hospitals,
if you talk about the claim settlement ratio,
or if you talk about the incurred claim ratio,
I will give the second number to ICICI Lombard
after checking all the fundamentals.
After that, all the companies are available.
But Star Health is compromised here.
On many points.
Now let's talk about its other features.
Jumpstart ICICI Lombard is an add-on feature
for hypertension, diabetes, obesity, asthma and hyperlipidemia
You will get a cover from the 31st day
if there is any of these pre-existing diseases.
And this feature is available in almost all insurance companies.
HDFC Ergo has launched its ABCD cover.
In which you will get a cover from the 31st day
for asthma, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes.
This is the USP of Aditya Bulla's Active and Plan.
They cover chronic care from day 1.
Along with that, there is also a cover for stents.
If there is a stent in the heart,
you will get a cover from day 1.
In Neva Bupa, you can get a cover for hypertension and diabetes
from day 1 after adding DM Rider.
And if we talk about Star Health,
there is an instant cover in Quick Shield and Care Health Insurance.
But along with care, you will also get a cover for stents.
That is, if you have a coronary artery disease,
you will also get a cover from the 31st day.
Power Booster is in ICICI Lombard.
Whatever your time period is, there will be an add-on cover.
Every year there will be a 100% increase.
This will beat your inflation.
Plus Benefit HDFC Ergo is in Optima Secure.
Every year there will be a 50% increase.
Maximum will go up to 100%
whether there is a claim or not.
Global Cover is in Tata AIG.
Reduction in waiting period is in Aditya Bulla's Active 1 Plan.
And if you take their Max variant,
then your time period will increase up to 500 times.
Neva Bupa has brought Booster Plus,
where your time period will increase up to 3 times, 5 times and 10 times.
If we talk about Star Health,
then your time period there will also increase 100% for a lifetime.
It is an add-on cover.
It is called Super Star Bonus.
Infinity Bonus is a part of Care Health Insurance,
where your time period will increase 100% for a lifetime.
IC Sloan Bart has another feature,
Infinite Care.
This is a very good feature.
This feature is also in Star Health
and also in Ultimate Care.
This feature says that
you can take an unlimited claim once in your life.
And when to take that unlimited claim,
you will decide.
And if I talk about this feature,
if I talk about Care,
then you can take this feature twice in your life.
Unlimited Restoration,
Same Person, Same Illness,
it is available in all policies.
If I talk about Consumable Cover,
then it is an inbuilt feature in SDFC Ergo
with a product benefit.
And in all other plans,
you can take it with an add-on cover.
Let's talk about the next feature,
which is a unique feature in Tata AIG.
Daily Cash, Prolonged Hospitalization,
you get 1% of the Summary Short.
Accidental Rider,
Daily Cash Benefit,
if a child is hospitalized.
Also, if I talk about Star,
there is a long-term discount.
You can take the policy for 5 years.
And this 5-year policy
you will also get in ICC Lombard.
And all other features
you can see on my screen.
If I talk about Care,
then in Ultimate Care,
you can take your 1-year premium back
if your policy remains claim-free
for 5 years.
And this is going to happen
with you every 5 years.
This is also a good feature.
Loyalty Boost,
Double Your Summary Short,
after 7 years, your Summary Short
will be doubled if it is a claim-free year.
There is an OPD cover in this.
4 are for Physicians.
You can take General Physician's OPD
and 4 are for Super Specialist Consultation.
In ICC Lombard,
there is a BFIT option.
If you add BFIT,
you can add a lot of OPD and Sessions.
The same feature is also given
in Aditya Birla's Active One Plan.

ICC Lombard has divided it into 4 zones.
SDFC Ergo Optima Secure has divided it into 2 zones.
In all other 5 policies,
there will be zone-based pricing.
You have to pay your premium
according to the zone.
Let's come to the conclusion of this comparison.
What does the conclusion say?
There are 7 health insurance plans.
These are the health insurance plans
which are the most popular
in India.
They sell the most.
I will give SDFC Ergo
the first ranking.
Why? Because the claim settlement ratio
is the best.
Incurred claim ratio is the best.
They have network hospitals.
They have early discharge facility
in many listed hospitals.
This company will give you
post-hospitalization expenses
on a cashless basis.
This is the number 1 company.
The second option is
ICC Lombard's Elevate plan.
The plan is good.
The company's fundamentals are strong.
You can take Aditya Birla,
Neva Bupa or Care Health Insurance.
It is your choice
which plan suits you
