In this video, I will take you to the wildest and most remote heights of the Zagros Mountains, where a lonely nomadic girl embarks on a long, grueling and dangerous journey to lead her family’s sheep to the high and cold peaks of the mountains. This is not an easy path… it is a path that only the bravest of people will walk; a path full of high cliffs, dangerous slopes, strong winds, sudden cold and a deep loneliness that can only be understood in the heart of the mountains.
Throughout this journey, you will witness the efforts of this young girl moment by moment; from waking up in the darkness of dawn to leading the flock through the winding slopes, crossing slippery paths, making difficult decisions and facing challenges that can be fateful. But despite all the hardships, she continues with patience, strength, love for nature and the great responsibility that rests on her shoulders. This video is a true story of the life of Iranian nomads; a life that still goes on in the heart of the mountains, without any pretensions or luxuries.
Along with these scenes, you will see an authentic image of nomadic culture, the sound of the pristine nature of Zagros, the behavior of sheep in the highlands, the important role of nomadic girls in everyday life, and beauties that few people get the chance to see.
