Good morning, guys. Welcome to today's
video. It's pitch black outside. Take a
guess. Is it morning or is it night?
It's morning. You know how you can tell?
Because I got Sam with me. Although you
guys probably can't see them because
it's dark and my camera is still I still
haven't set it. Normally when I'm
videoing I can change the brightness
manually and for some reason something
happened and I can't. Also, the
stabilization is turned off and I can't
turn it on. Sam, you might have to fix
it. Anyway, welcome to today's video.
You guys, I have the worst dream I got
to tell you. So, first of all, when I
say I have dreams, it's meditation. I
meditate sometimes twice a day,
sometimes once a day, and often I see
things, but I'm like awake seeing them.
Does that make sense? Those are my
dreams. Oh, I hope I caught it. Oh,
barely caught him coming out from under
his cocoon. My dream, it was this long
weird thing that I didn't really
understand
until it got to the very end. The end
was that
all the people that I care about, like a
lot of people that I care about start
dying. Like I'm 56 now and up till now
nobody in my life I'm like the second
oldest in my family and nobody in my
life that I really care about other than
my parents when I was in my 30s um have
died like and now my dream was that
people are going to start dying and I
saw like the whole progression of people
leaving one after another after another
after another not like in a big rush but
just over the next 20 years people are
just going to start dying. And I said, I
woke up saying this. It's so sad. You
start out with this huge family and all
these people and in the end you're
almost alone. And I was devastating. You
never think about that stuff. Like you
just don't think about that kind of
stuff when you're young and when you're
growing and you don't think about it
ever. And then all of a sudden it just
starts happening. And I remember at the
very end of my dream saying to Sam,
"Sam, come and help me. I can't keep
them alive. I can't keep them all alive.
Like come and help me." And then that's
when I woke up saying like it just sucks
so much that you are born into this life
with so many people around you. Even
small families, you always have your
family around you and then one by one
everybody leaves. I have a problem with
that kind of stuff. Like that is not my
strong suit in any way, shape or form.
Anyway, I do not want to I DID NOT WANT
TO START this beautiful Friday morning
off on a bad sad note. I want to start
it off with the beautiful,
amazing Poshi. I wish I had called her
Gemma because I'm saving the name Gemma
for my favorite goat. Either my most
beautiful goat or my favorite goat. And
I don't know. She might be my favorite
goat of life. Is it possible to ever
have another goat as amazing as she is?
Hello, baby. Hello. Are you ready to
roll? Are you ready to roll? Look, Tilly
over there, she watches to see if I let
them out. And then if I let them out,
she runs to her door. Oh, shoot. That
was not good planning.
I'm coming. See, she meets me at the
door. Uh-oh.
Her door didn't
If this door doesn't stay open, she gets
upset.
You guys didn't see it, but she did this
big hop, skip, and a jump when she
jumped through the door. Even though I
have hardly spent any time with Posh,
when I go in there to feed them, even
though they're like dying for their
grain, she will still follow me out the
door just to be with me, even when she
has her grain. Like, she will give up
food for me still. Like, she's so
wonderful. But my dream names for our
baby goats this year are Gemma. I've
been wanting a Gemma for a long time.
Gemma and Pip. I want like I have this
weird feeling that we're going to get a
teeny tiny teeny teeny tiny goat this
year. Not an unhealthy goat. Hopefully,
just a teeny teeny tiny one. And it'll
probably be like Cricket's baby if she
ever gets pregnant or Toffeey's baby
because they're so short. So, we've
never had like a super short breed. One
of the super We've never had one of the
super short goats have babies. The
standard is like 18 to 21 in 22 in. They
are at the bottom. They're like 18 in.
We've never had a baby from them. So,
maybe it's one of those ones, but I want
to call that baby. I want it to be a
girl and I want to call it Pip. So, I
have to wait. I have to wait till I get
a tiny girl to name Pip. And it has to
be a goat that I'm going to keep cuz I
want to keep the name forever. I love
it. Gemma and Pip are going to be my
like most exciting names for this
season. I like names. I'm not usually
good at them. You ready for pose?
>> What? No.
>> Yeah. You don't have to explain to me.
Trust me, I know the perils of all of
it. All right, I'll do my chores while
I'm waiting. Oh, you ready? Pose.
You ready to go out? Let's see if I can
do it myself. I sometimes don't do it.
>> Won't be able to.
>> You think I won't be able to do it?
>> Yeah.
>> All right. All right. Well, you hold on
now.
>> Hold on. The camera watch the camera and
you watch me.
>> Hold on. Let me get ready cuz I want to
watch you. I'm ready. It's
>> a competition, man.
>> Trying to find the boy. Come on.
Go.
>> Don't work. Don't work. Don't work.
>> Come on.
>> Don't worry.
>> No. You
>> told you.
>> No.
>> Want help now? No, I can do it.
OH MY GOSH. GET AWAY from that. Get away
from the chicken boo.
>> You know it's Friday when the pig
doesn't listen.
>> Happy Friday.
>> Okay, I'll help you now.
>> All right, help me now.
Get your butt out.
>> Come on, Posie. Come on, Pose.
Come on. Come on. Look at my groom.
That'll stop her. Get.
No.
NO.
QUICKLY, ROSIE. Get out. Get out. Quick.
Close.
>> GET OUT. SHE NEVER acts like that.
>> Yeah. That's right.
>> Yeah. All right. Here's the deal. She
never ever acts like that for me. I let
her out all the time. No problem. By
myself. She's really good. She's extra
hungry today. I don't know. Sam can
never get him out get her out by
himself. Ever. I sometimes can. Another
day. Another freezing cold
day. You look so cute. You are a really
cute boy. Even though you're not
friendly. Yes, I know you're cute, too.
He just hopped to me.
>> Hopped to me like a bunny.
You got to lock it.
This is the problem with straw.
Here comes Sam. We always try and put
them in early when it's cold, but also
when Sam has hay. What the heck
happened?
>> You put him in. Yes.
>> Oh, good job.
>> No, Dad's bringing hay.
>> I thought for sure that we left him in
by mistake.
Who's screaming?
>> Oh, she's over there underneath the
She's like, "I need to go, too." This
one is like noisy.
Like a horrible sound. Noisy. Yes.
Blossom, your baby. Are we feeding them
right now? No.
>> Why don't we? Okay, you're coming down
to feed them then. It's actually icy.
Defin Whoa. Definitely my favorite thing
ever. I could just watch this forever.
See, they go, you just wait and then
they all figure it out. Except for Lola,
who's like, "hm, I want to go and look
in that stall." Get your butt in there.
I know what you're planning.
Look how big she is. I think she's got
twins in there this year. She had a
single,
triplets, a single. Oo, maybe she's got
triplets. I think twins. Twin girls is
what my guess is. Only because Sophie
dreamed it. I know. So, you guys might
remember that.
>> Let's just feed them now.
>> All right, let's feed them now. Used to
be over here. It's like already 4:00.
Used to be over here. And then they used
to interact. In fact, they used to slam
their horns into the
bars. Look how big she looks. And she
looks so fuzzy and warm. She's so cute.
You're so cute. We moved it because when
Blossom had babies in that stall, the
babies would just hop through those bars
and come into her stall. Fortunately,
she's a grandma. She's an She's a
grandma goat and she loves babies. She
loves babies.
So, she would she'd let them be in there
and she'd be kind to them and stuff, but
that could have went badly. They're
eating their breakfast. Yep.
This is the fat group. They're eating
breakfast still, too.
So, you know what I'm going to do this
weekend?
I'm going to get a really nice measuring
cup that's just for the barn, and I'm
going to give them like, is a lot of
grain. Well, there's three of them in
here. Your blossom needs more food or
else she dropped all her weight. This is
why we have fat though. Oh,
just jumped on me. Is that Hazel?
So So I'm going to buy a measuring
scoop, like a actual cooking one that
has a label on it and you can see
exactly how much. I'm going to give
everybody one cup a day except for like
the little tiny ones a day every
feeding. So, these guys will get like
three cups. I'll have to see how it
measures out, though. I don't know.
Actually, these babies will probably get
like a half a cup every every feed. But
I need to be able to measure it. I need
to be able to measure it a lot better
because
Yeah, I give them more. Give them a
little more. Probably don't need that
much more.
Oh, feed my pigs. I find it really hard
for us to measure like the food and
stuff. So
la every week we go through two bags of
grain which I feel like is a lot but
it's fine. Like if that's what they eat
that's what they eat. I'm okay with
that. But la so I've been trying to like
minimize what they been getting what
they get the last few weeks and this
last week they only eat one bag of
grain. Actually maybe a little more than
one bag.
But that's half as much grain. And they
haven't not any of them lost a single
ounce.
>> Your pigs need fresh water, too.
>> Oh, my pigs need water, too.
>> The whole time just goofing around.
>> I know. Just talking. Yeah.
>> I know. It's one of those days.
Yes. You need fresh water. It's cold.
Good night, Posie Pig.
This is what happens when it's cold.
Everybody rushes. Uh-oh. Do you hear
that? Did you guys hear that squeaking
sound? It's because Did you feed her?
>> She was coughing.
>> No, she she chases me down. She throws a
fit. If I don't give her what she wants
and what she wants
is
a little bit of seeds. See, told you
that's what she wants. She's That's the
kind of chicken she is. She's very
verbal, but we love her.
>> Just the way you are, just the way you
came. Don't you know that you're
beautiful?
