Yuki, good to see you. A few days on from Vegas. How hopeful are you of putting everything together
this time out? What have you learned from that weekend and your expectations here in Qatar?
Well, hopefully I can have a clean weekend, which the last few races,
all the four or five races, you know, struggle to complete with. Yeah, I mean,
positive is Las Vegas was probably one of the best performances
until everything went south in qualifying. So yeah, keep the confidence and yeah, just send it.
That's it. Have you got a few more answers as to what happened in qualifying? You touched on it
there. Got a few days to debrief and think about it. I mean, we knew straight after qualifying
what's happening. Well, like Lauren said, it's a tyre pressure thing. But yeah, something that
I cannot really much accept, to be honest, you know, that thing was pretty big.
But it just happens. I can't change it. And, you know,
after I heard it, I was pretty surprised, you know, like, but it's quite... Anyway, like I said,
until qualifying was OK, we also something testing the race as well. And yeah, we got some data,
something that we could have done a lot better, but at the same time, you know, we didn't know
and something that we can use for the future. And especially now is the most important thing
for our team, especially Max now joined us as a serious contender for the championship. So yeah,
hope I can help him as much as possible. I believe Lauren said it a few weeks ago that
before our decision will be made not only about the Red Bull lineup, but also about the lineup
from the Racing Bulls. Is that on your mind? Have you had conversations about it already?
No, not really. I think I know something that I can't share, obviously, with you guys,
but probably most like most people knows it. So actually, I'm similar, how do you say,
understanding with you guys. I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen.
So, yeah, let's see. Thanks. Hey, Yuki, are you already having like a plan B or if you said like
you haven't had any discussions, are you thinking about your own future and how do you look at it?
No, not really. I mean, I'm only thinking about this race.
Yeah, you know, it's not made yet and still with my hands and I'll just try to
support Max as much as possible. And I think that if I'm able to achieve that,
that will naturally be positive to my future. So I'll just only aim for that. And yeah,
let's see with the decisions. How are you looking this weekend on the track,
which is totally different from Las Vegas? Yeah, I think looking back last year,
Red Bulls did pretty well here and we unlocked some good things from our car as well as a setup
and the package. So let's see. It won't be, you know, have to be smooth and reactive,
especially in this kind of spring qualifying race. But yeah, I think we can perform well.
