RECIPES:
🍞 Sourdough Cinnamon Babka
All natural leaven • Soft & fluffy • No yeast
Ingredients
Dough:
400g strong white flour
100g wholemeal (or all white)
100g active sourdough starter
300g warmed buttermilk/milk
30g butter
20g honey
9g salt
Cinnamon Filling:
80g soft butter
120g brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
Pinch salt
Optional Glaze:
2 tbsp sugar + 2 tbsp water (simple syrup)
Instructions
Make Dough:
Mix starter, buttermilk, honey + flours. Rest 20–30 mins.
Add salt + butter and knead until smooth.
Bulk Rise:
Let rise 3–5 hrs until doubled.
Make Filling:
Cream butter, sugar, cinnamon.
Shape Babka:
Roll dough into a rectangle.
Spread filling.
Roll up tightly.
Slice the log lengthwise and twist the two strands together.
Place into a greased loaf tin.
Final Proof:
Rise until puffy and near the top of the tin (2–4 hrs or overnight in fridge).
Bake:
Bake at 190°C / 375°F for 35–40 mins.
Brush with simple syrup for shine.
Cool fully before slicing.
🫓 Quick & Soft Yogurt Flatbreads (No Yeast!)
Easy 2-ingredient-style flatbreads made in minutes. Just mix, knead, roll, and cook!
Ingredients (makes 8–12):
2 cups flour
1 cup Greek yogurt
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Optional: 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
Mix ingredients, knead until smooth, rest 10 minutes, divide and roll thin. Cook 1–2 mins per side in a hot dry pan. Keep warm wrapped in a towel. Soft, fluffy, and perfect for wraps or dipping!
🌿 (Garlic-Powder) Avocado Oil Mayo
Ingredients
1 large egg (room temperature)
1 cup avocado oil
2 tsp lemon juice (or 1 tsp lemon + 1 tsp apple cider vinegar for tangier mayo)
½ tsp Dijon mustard
½ tsp salt (adjust after blending)
½–1 tsp garlic powder (leave out if you want a plain mayo)
½ tsp = mild
¾ tsp = medium
1 tsp = stronger but still smooth
Instructions
Add to a wide-mouth jar:
Egg
Lemon juice
Dijon
Salt
Garlic powder
Pour in the avocado oil.
Place your immersion blender at the bottom of the jar and start blending.
Once the bottom emulsifies and turns creamy white, slowly raise the blender to pull in the remaining oil.
Taste — add a pinch more salt or garlic powder if needed.
