Casa Mao – The Art of Combining Contrasts in a Modern Home
#CasaMao #ModernArchitecture #HomeDesign
Casa Mao is a home that strikes a delicate and harmonious balance between contrasting elements. From the outside, the home appears enclosed to maintain privacy and protect from the sun's heat. However, inside, open spaces lead out to lush greenery, creating a fresh and serene atmosphere.
Materials such as dark concrete and warm clay brick combine to create a strong yet natural visual character. The downstairs social space feels spacious thanks to its double height and direct connection to the terrace and pool, while the upstairs bedrooms offer a warmer and more private atmosphere.
Natural light pours in through skylights and large openings, creating shadows that change throughout the day and enhance the spatial experience. Louvers are also a key element, providing privacy without blocking light and air. All of this creates a calm, balanced, and comfortable home.
