Hi everybody! Today I'm at the Country Arbor's nursery for some plant shopping.
So this atrium here is supposed to have some of their rare and expensive plants,
so I'm here to check this out at first. And right at the beginning I noticed a Hoya species assay
with beautiful speckled leaves although there's some amount of mineral deposit on top but the
leaves are really beautiful and splashy. Then over here we have some Aglaonema golden pink
which is looking really beautiful. And then what do we have on this side here?
So they have some Echeveria pevians. Wow that's really cheap, it's only $8.95.
And looks like they have just watered all their plants.
I am not sure if this hanging basket has the same species assay or something but this Hoya basket
looks really full and lush though it doesn't have a name tag or a price tag but it's a beautiful
Hoya nonetheless. Some cactuses I see there. Oh wow! Oh my gosh! This Hoya compacta is just for
$18.95 and it has quite a lot of growth in it. I mean let's look at this one. Wow!
This is almost 18 inches long and you wouldn't find a Hoya compacta of this length
at this price. Typically it would be well over $30-35.
This is having two vines and they are pretty long. I am tempted. Now what do we have here?
Some more Hoyas and I spotted this Dichidia. Yes Dichidia variegata for $6.95 which is
like very reasonable I must say. I am going to keep this at the side. I might snag that one.
Let's look at what else they have. So they have some Hoya kerei, really cute for $6.95
and we have some. Their Hoyas are all like very long. I mean look at this Hoya pot of gold.
This is just for $22.95 which is kind of insane considering the length of the vines.
Very pretty. Now we also have some regulars here. It says it's a philodendron but I'm pretty sure
that's a Monstera adansonii. They have lots of their own potting mix which I really like.
These look like very chunky and I'm sure the cactuses love it. Now let's look at this cactus
here. It's for $40 almost but it has quite a few cactuses and comes in a very heavy,
is it concrete or maybe clay pot and one of the cactuses even has a bud on it.
Now moving on to the shelf. I am trying to get this one out just to see its name and price tag
because it looks so beautiful and lush but it's just stuck in there and I don't plan on buying
this so let's see if I can get it out. It's funny. Okay let's move on to this one. So this is a
streptocarpus print turtle for $12.95. It has beautiful turtle back patterns on its leaves and
comes with a very pretty lilac flower. There's a turtle just for decoration. Some really nice
in that chunky soil mix. Then they also have the string of turtles for $17.95.
Very pretty and cute. Now I found this golem jade here. Wow! This one's pretty nice and cool.
So I am tempted by this. The stems on this look like really thick and hardy. Let's move some
plants around and try to get it out. Okay so the price on that one is $8.95. Not bad at all.
This is a pretty large golem jade. Now they also have some senecio serpens
and this is one peperomia for $8.95. Their pots are really full with the plants
and what do we have here? I think this is a pink princess.
Yes the leaves are pretty large. I'm sure it's loving this pot and the atrium.
Okay being a short-heighted person doesn't help. So this variegated alocasia is for $40
which is very pretty. Then they also have some palatia pinstripe for just $15.
That's a very lush pot. I even like the saucer it has at the bottom. It's made of wood.
Now these pink princesses are a little above $50. $54.95 but I don't know. Pink princesses,
I don't know if growers love pink princesses because the leaves tend to
size down. Now this is a nice philodendron spormiferum for $13.
I like the fuzzy stems it has there. Then what do they have on top? Some portulaca gold for $8.95
and they have a whole lot of philodendron pink princesses all for close to $55.
Then I've seen some calathea white fusion or no calathea stella for around $37.
And the pots are also nice. They have some slits at the bottom on the side for aeration.
Then this one, this is an aglaonema camouflage. Just look at those leaves.
It's quite similar to the aglaonema pictum as well. Pictum tricolor, yes I remembered.
Okay so lots of pink princesses there. Now they also have a beautiful monstera type constellation
and what's the price on that? They look very beautiful but wow the price is,
with the taxes it would cost you close to $300. Now they also have some beautiful pots.
I really like this pot, you know a bowl shaped pot. Now they have tons of philodendron painted
ladies and some alocasias on the sides. These have very beautiful leaves and they are also
on totem poles. There are two plants in a pot, very beautiful.
Now on this other side they have a mix of philodendron grizzle and silver stripe
and it's on an orchid pot which is very pretty. It's ceramic so it's quite heavy
and then they have some more in hanging baskets. Now look at them trailing down,
very lush and full. Now they also have philodendron florida ghost for $22.95.
Yes that's the price there. Lots of florida ghosts in stock and I really like the shape of these
and then they have lots of ficus ruby. They are pretty far away on the shelves so I can't
get my hands on them but I'm sure they are going to be reasonably priced as well. Oh wow this
dracaena, I haven't seen this one before. It's a dracaena tornado variegated for $23.
Very beautiful. Now they have a couple of these ficus ginsengs for $27. This is pretty
large and the bottom is also looking very nice like a small cage or a cape or a frog.
These gloriosum leaves are really beautiful. They are priced at $38
and they are pretty mature that's why the leaves are so large. Wow! I just gasped there
because the leaves on this plant are so beautiful. That's the alocasia heliobeauty.
I haven't seen this one in any other store yet and it's for $30
which is insane. I mean wow. Now they have some more variegated alocasias here as well.
The leaves are really beautiful, almost $40. Now they also have some beautiful schefflera
that is variegated and it's really large, very large plant indeed. Now let's take a look at
these alocasia amazonicas. Very lush and pretty. It's got loads of leaves on there.
Now let's take a look on the other side. Oh wow! They've got this beautiful foxtail fern
which is for only $28.95. This is beautiful. I wonder if it can survive in low humidity.
If you know it does, please let me know in the comments because I'm really looking for a fern to
Lots of chycons there. Then they have these sansevieria shark fins which are kind of like
a younger brother to your whale fins. So their leaves are smaller and these are only for around
$40 but loads of leaves from each growth point. And this caught my eye. This is the philodendron
sunbread for $40. The new growth on this one has beautiful red leaves. I just wish there was not
so much mineral deposit there. Now this burley marx. Wow! Philodendron burley marx. Just look
at those variegated leaves. Amazing! And there's this half moon type of leaf as well here.
I mean let's check out the price. Wow! Even this is close to $300. Now I'm not sure if that's the
price for them. Let me know in the comments. They have some more of these sunreds. That leaf looks
really beautiful and shiny. Now they have loads of syndapses. Pictus exotica on top which is
beyond my reach. And I think I spotted another peperomia here in this disco ball planter,
hanging planter. It's looking very pretty. Now I think this is called the taco peperomia,
taco leafed peperomia. I couldn't find the price on this one but it's very beautiful.
Doesn't go with the aesthetics of my homes but yeah over here it looks very beautiful.
Now here I am in their greenhouse 4 which has all of their tropicals stored in it for the winters.
And right at the beginning this pothos and joy pulled my eye. Now this money tree is also very
beautiful and it's for just $35 which is not bad. It's pretty big. They've got loads of plants in
there. Just take a look at this pothos and joy. It does have a few crispy leaves but look how long it
is. Now what do they have here? Some more alocasias and some more hoyas like tiny leafed hoyas. Maybe
this is a lapinosa. Doesn't say anything but yes a lapinosa for almost $24. And they have these
beautiful aloes. I mean which variety are they? Loads of beautiful aloes. Some of them are also
in bloom. Let's take a look at their price. Now they don't have any labels on these.
Let me try another one. Okay even these don't have any labels but look at all the colors on the leaves.
There's pink, there's silver, there's green. It's just too beautiful.
Lots of aloes there and these dracaena coloramas. They are just too beautiful. I mean maybe
they are sun-stressed which is why they are so dark and red. Now they also have some
fan palms here and next to them they have some more cactus and succulents. Mostly succulents.
Wow! There are lots of povertias in there and gasterias.
And they have these beautiful arrangements again for $25.
Look at this bear paw. Very fuzzy. I just feel like squishing it right now. I love the color on
these. This arrangement is really beautiful. They have lots of these in stock and then you have
the echeveria blue heron which also has loads of bulbs on the side.
That's very pretty. Some more of these succulents which seem to have etiolated. I don't know why
they would etiolate even when in the greenhouse because they are getting a lot of light there.
Wow! These pavians are so beautiful. I am tempted to snag one. Then there's this hoya,
maybe a lacrimosa or whatever it is. It's for $23.95 and it's really long. I mean I'm trying
to tug at it but it seems to have gotten stuck at the bottom somewhere or maybe to another plant.
Their hoyas are really beautiful. Some more pavians. I love the succulent collection.
They look really healthy and what's that one? Maybe a kalanchoe? I'm not sure but
just wait for it and now just look at all those variegated shades for like $8.95. I mean
the prices here are insane. Some more large cactuses. These are all for $7.95.
What's that one there? I'm not sure but yeah these cactuses are really beautiful and very
affordable. And now let's take a look at their larger pots. These are all 6 to 8 inches pots
and look at that sansevieria trifasciata. I mean could you have any more plants in that pot?
It needs some serious pre-potting. Even this one. I mean the pot is going to burst very soon.
Then they have some beautiful agaves for $28. These agaves are really beautiful. I mean if I
find a victoria reginae agave, I'm definitely gonna snack that one but it looks like they
don't have it in stock here. These are in 5 inch pots over here but the plants are really mature.
Wow these are even larger and just look at it. There are multiple plants in that pot.
It has produced so many pups. That's an 8 inch pot over there. Oh my god just look at this.
The pup has literally broken the pot. It's just not having any space in there.
Then some more alocasias. Are those flowers on the alocasia?
No they seem to be on another plant but the flowers are really beautiful.
So are these alocasia californias for $40. Close to $45 with taxes but the leaves are
really huge. Now let's look at these huge pots that they've gotten over here. Some palm trees.
There's that huge pot of rubber tree, the burgundy version and then apunteas that they have some
caribbean cactus at the back as well. Those must be around 15 inches in diameter the pots I'm
talking about. Now this ponytail palm is also really huge. One of the huge ones I've seen ever.
Now they've got loads of colocasias, different varieties for about $35.
I mean the leaves are iridescent and so colorful. I love the bright pink right at the center.
Then they have a proton petra which is pretty large and nicely branching out I must say.
Now they also have some of these spiral grass variety. I've seen them in a lot of
your Japanese homes. These look very ornamental and they add a subtle whimsical texture to any
space they are put in. Now they also have some outdoor decoration with spider plants.
These frames are filled with moss I think and they've got some spider plants on the back of
that crane there. Some other flowering plants. Then this pony has some hedra helix
and some more of your variegated sheffleras.
Just beautiful. There's this cute pig with a head full of spider plants.
Loads and loads of beautiful plants. Look at that ficus triangularis variegata over there.
It's so beautiful and for $18? I mean are you kidding me? I want my husband to gift this to me
but yeah I've already gotten a golem jade for today. But that is really beautiful. I might
come back here again at a later date to snag that one. Loads of foyas. Some more foyas here.
Loads of beautiful orange cacti and these are just for $3. I mean are you kidding me? There
are like three or four cacti in those pots and it's just for $3. Some beautiful philodendron,
that fuzzy leaf one. The strepto something. Some more long foyas. We also have the watermelon
for $7. I mean I'm gonna go broke if I buy all the plants that I really love here but yes.
These flowers are very funny. They are really cute and fuzzy. This one doesn't have any name
on it or the price tag so please let me know in the comments if you know what this plant is.
And what do we have here? Some epiphyllum fires for $7. I mean look at the new growth,
all red from sun stressing. Some hoya princesses. I'm tempted to get one of these epiphyllums as
well. I mean just look at the sun stressing on these leaves. Very beautiful and tempting I must
say. And the prices here like a couple of the plants were priced quite high I must say but
these plants they are like super cheap and affordable. Some huge monsteras though those
are non-double fenestrated. And here's the golem jade that I bought. I also found this beautiful
terracotta pot and so had to just repot it under this one immediately. I mean doesn't it look
beautiful? Of late I feel like I'm getting really lucky at finding beautiful plants at cheap prices.
As usual questions, comments and conversations down below. I'd really like to know if you
spotted an uncommon beauty that I may have missed. Thank you for watching and I hope to
see you again in the next one. And if you stay till the end as a token of appreciation I have
included some clips from our drive back home from the nursery for you to enjoy the fall colors from
wherever you are. So sit back and enjoy!
