learn today asking for numbers the first expression is Arabic numbers do you
still remember Korean Arabic numbers I don't think so because it's hard to
remember so when you ask phone numbers in Korea you have to understand what
others gonna answer your question for instance what's your phone number you
asked and I will I'm gonna tell oh my phone number is a zero one zero and
blah blah blah so but all the numbers are gonna be in Korean so to have you
remind of Arabic numbers and to response the asking for numbers
expression you have to learn Arabic numbers first okay take a look at this
and next one is what's your phone number what's your phone number and you just
bumped into your best your really close Korean friends and you want to ask oh I
have something to talk to you so what's your phone number you can ask this
question right so we're gonna look at this part and third one hello Oh

call you later I will call you later you just got a call from your Korean
friend but you're you're on the way to class or you are you're you're at work
so you can tell your friends oh I'm sorry but I have to do something so I

expressions okay take a look at every numbers first every numbers oh you
you've never learned about what zero is in Korean right but let's look at this
zero zero is yeong yeong or gong gong yeong or gong one more time zero is yeong
and or gong so you can either say yeong or gong it doesn't matter okay so
remember zero is yeong or gong and what's number one you can you read here
number one il and number two ii number three sam number four sa and number five
oh number six you number seven chill number eight hi number nine good okay
okay did you read all these numbers in Korean with me if you didn't you have to
practice okay okay let's let's try to pronounce these all Korean numbers again
with me what's zero yeong or gong and one il two ii three sam four sa five oh
six you seven chill eight five nine good okay is that is that okay okay so
please remember these all the numbers so that you can you're not gonna have any
problem to deal with Korean numbers in Korea okay good and then let's see the
next expression what's your phone number so finally this is a question
what's your phone number okay do you remember what oh yes you do what what's
what it's mu eot mu eot one more time mu eot however it's it can be abbreviated
to muh muh it's a it's much simpler to pronounce right so mu eot is fine but to
be more to be much easier we use muh muh okay so what has two pronunciations
first one is mu eot mu eot and abbreviated pronunciation is muh muh okay good and phone
number what's phone number in Korean phone phone jeon hwa jeon hwa phone jeon hwa and
number bonho bonho phone jeon hwa number bonho so phone number in Korean is jeon hwa
bonho jeon hwa bonho jeon hwa bonho all right so how can you ask what's your
phone number it's easy phone number jeon hwa bonho phone number jeon hwa bonho what
muh ye yo one more time phone number jeon hwa bonho what muh ye yo so what's your phone
number in Korean is jeon hwa bonho muh ye yo jeon hwa bonho muh ye yo okay so please
follow me jeon hwa bonho muh ye yo okay let's see the conversation hey hello long time no
see oh you know this expression you just learned this from the previous lesson eight right
so hello long time no see hello annyeonghaseyo long time no see oremaniyeyo right and B says
hi how have you been annyeonghaseyo jal jinesseoyo jal jinesseoyo so far so good okay next A I've
been great jal jinesseoyo however here A and B just met and B knows A really well but they're
they've been separated for a long time they were really busy and they just met but B is
really busy so B has to go right now okay so B says I am sorry but I have to go now I am sorry
what's that I'm sorry mi an haeyo or je song haeyo either way is fine I'm sorry mi an haeyo
mi an haeyo you know this expression right then I have to go now I jeo now jigeum have to go
so it's really good to see you but I have to go right now I'm sorry
okay so I'm sorry mi an haeyo I'm sorry mi an haeyo but I have to go now I jeo now jigeum
oh hi how are you long time no see oh I've been great oh I'm sorry I have to go now
okay one more time mi an haeyo
B is asking oh what's your phone number let's have a dinner let's have dinner later so B feels
sorry that B has to leave right now so B is asking the phone number of A and ask and tell her
tells A let's have dinner later okay it's a it's a one of the way one of ways making an appointment
right so I'm not gonna I'm not gonna tell about how make how to make an appointment because you
just learned from the previous lesson so let's focus on this question what's your phone number
and let's have dinner later you know this expression right later
let's have dinner dinner let's have
all right one more time what's your phone number
what's your phone number
let's have dinner later
okay so far so good okay then A says okay sounds good
then A tells B my phone number is 010-12345678 I wish I could have this phone number it's really
okay my phone number
my phone phone number I told you phone number is
remember that so
here we go zero what's zero in Korean
however normally we use we prefer to use gong when we talk about phone numbers okay so young is
fine but we prefer to use gong instead so zero is gong gong and what's number one
right gong gong then one two three four
four one more time
one two three four
and can you see dash here the first dash we don't we don't care about the first dash here however
on the second in the second dash we we call this
here can you see here
so
okay one more time my phone number
here
remember
okay okay one more time phone number is
gong
okay now you remember how to pronounce Korean numbers okay good and next expressions
hello hello you're on the phone so hello is
that's right but hello has different meaning which is
uh
so you got the you got the phone call and say hello right and in korea say excuse me say
okay it's hello
hello so a says hello
so hello it's simple right remember on the phone conversation when you got a phone call
say hello in korea
okay good okay after a few days a got a phone call because a
told b what's a phone number so a got a phone call hello
and b says hi it's jack oh b's name is jack by the way hi in this case hi
you have to say hi
because i a got a call and b is calling to a and a said hello
who are you which means hello who are you and b says oh hi and then say greet a
it's jack and b b told a who he is so it's jack so hi
so for instance you maybe suppose that your name is michelle and you called me and i got a call
and if you're michelle you can tell me i can speak korean like hi oh
make sense okay so hello remember and hi
so far so good can you understand this okay let's see the conversation
this is conversation let's see the second and third conversation here
hey hello long time no see okay tell me what it is in korean that's right
excuse me long time no see
and hi how have you been what's that good
how have you been okay so how have you been
and i've been great i've been great
okay but b has to leave right now so i'm sorry but i have to go now what's i'm sorry
i'm sorry
and i have to go now
one more time i'm sorry
but i have to go now
okay and what's your phone number let's have dinner later okay so what's your phone number
what's that what what phone number what's phone number
so
what's phone number
okay what's phone number
and let's have dinner later let's have dinner later
so you be bumped into a and a says hello long time no see
and a says
however b has to leave right now so i'm sorry
oh
okay so far so good good then a says okay
sounds good
and my phone number is blah blah blah how can you say your phone number here in korean
what's phone number
one two three four
here
so
okay you got it okay good and the fine and then after a few days
got a call so hello what's hello it's not
right and b says hi
okay good and finally the last expression i will call you later
i will call you call
i will call you in korean is
later
remember
so i will call you later
okay i will call you later
전화할게요
okay
good okay conversation hi i remember a got a call right so a said hello
and b said hi it's jack
however now a is busy
a is busy why if a is not busy right now they're gonna have they're gonna talk about
when when they they're gonna have dinner and where they're gonna meet for dinner
right what's that it's about making an appointment right that's why i
take that expressions out instead i put this expression to remember how to how to tell
this expression when you're busy okay so don't be confused even though it's it looks awkward but
it's not sometimes it happens and if you want to talk about making an appointment instead saying
you can add that those expressions on the phone conversation okay and you know what every korean
expression is connected all right good so hi i'm sorry but i have to go to class now now now a is
busy and a says i'm sorry i have to go to class now
remember i
to class class
have to go
so a has a class now so a is a has to go to class right now so i will let me talk to you
later or i will call you later okay let's see hi oh i'm sorry i have to go to class now
i now
to class
and i will call you later
okay so a got a call and oh
all right good okay then b says okay no problem
talk to you
it means having a conversation so i will talk to you later which is talking to each other means
having a conversation right so okay later
okay
and a says all right goodbye
oh christine why a didn't say bye here bye is
right however in the phone conversation we don't usually say
because we say goodbye we say goodbye when we meet people in person instead we just say okay
and hang up the phone okay so all right bye then hang up the phone a is going to the class
okay one more time okay
and a says
that's it okay so far so good good now and review time
now you know this and next
oh hello how have you been a says i've been great
then b has to go right now so b says i'm sorry
i have to go right now
oh what's your phone number
and let's eat dinner later that let's have dinner later
and okay sounds good and my phone number is blah blah blah
oh
zero one zero one two three four six uh five six seven eight okay
and after a few days
a says i gotta call hello
remember on the phone conversation hello is
okay and b says
and a says
i have to go to class now
i will call you later
and b says
a says okay
this is it okay so how was today's expression
it was not that hard right because i made the conversation based on expressions you learned
so far especially the expressions from the previous class lesson eight so i think you
can handle this and it's really sad to say but next time is the next lesson is our last lesson
oh i'm so sad okay next i will come back with lesson 10 birthday and korean holidays i'm gonna
explain about how to celebrate korean birthday and korean holidays in korean okay you did a
good job and i will see you next time
