🌲 Crochet Christmas Tree Keychain – Free Pattern
A Poplar Crochet Tutorial
Materials
2.5 mm crochet hook
Acrylic yarn in green, white, yellow, and brown
Keychain ring and small metal chain
Yarn needle
Scissors

⭐ Christmas Tree Pattern
Tree – Round 1 0:15
1. Begin with a magic ring.
2. 3 ch, 11 dc, sl st, 1 ch into the ring.
3. Pull the ring closed.

Tree – Round 2
1. 3 ch, 2 dc in each stitch around, sl st, 1 ch.

Tree – Round 3
1. 3 ch, 1 dc, 1 ch, 2 dc in the first stitch (corner).
2. Work 2 dc in the next stitches.
3. 2 dc, 1 ch, 2 dc for each corner.
4. Repeat around until you have 3 corners total.
5. Sl st to close, ch 1.

Tree – Round 4
Repeat the shaping round:
1. 3 ch, 1 dc, 1 ch, 2 dc in the first corner.
2. Work 2 dc in each stitch along the side.
3. Make 2 dc, 1 ch, 2 dc in each corner.
4. Repeat for a total of 5 rows to form the full tree shape.

Second Round Border
1. Work 2 sc in each corner around the tree.
2. Sl st twice, ch 1.

🌳 Tree Trunk 13:13
Using yellow (or preferred color):
1. 4 ch, 4 tr, 4 ch, sl st, ch 1 to form the top loop.
2. Attach to the keychain ring.

⭐ Star Pattern 14:50
Round 1
1. Begin with a magic ring.
2. (1 dc, 2 ch, 1 dc, 1 sc) × 5 into the ring.
3. Sl st, ch 1 to close.
🧶 Assembly
Sew the star to the top of the tree.
Attach the metal chain to the star loop.
Secure everything tightly for durability.
