This is one of the biggest hidden gems we have ever found on the road.
This is mangoes right up there. And this is here in Redcliffe,
Colorado. You know,
we were spending the winter here in Breckenridge and we have some friends and
they were talking about mangoes. They're like mangoes, mangoes, mangoes.
And we're like, I guess we got to do it. So we grabbed them. They kid,
they, they said they wanted to come. Don't worry. We didn't like kidnap. No,
no, no, no, no.
But we all rode here in our car and we are literally in this little town of
Redcliffe. And it is so tiny. I think there's only,
there's not even a grocery store. There's not even a gas station.
There's probably no more than 75 houses. There is no gas station.
There's a hotel, which is a hotel. Really? Yup.
And there's like, you can see the end of the street and that's all there's town
is. But what the main attraction is here is mangoes.
And what happens is people ride their snowmobiles like right over there.
Those people that rode their snowmobiles, by the way,
I won't something like that. They're bike turned into snowmobile,
no mobile parking, Mr. Bob and Ms. Lauren. They actually snowmobile.
They bought a snowmobile this year or last year or something.
And they absolutely love it. And they're like out all the time.
So that's how they figured out about this place. This pass right here,
people will trailer their snowmobiles on the other side,
because it is insanely sketchy road to get here.
We're talking our car barely fits inside the lines and straight drop off on the
other side,
but people trailer and then bring their snowmobiles through this pass,
which is actually really awesome. And Mr. Bob, Ms. Lauren said,
it takes about 35 to 45 minutes,
depending on whether or not you stop and look at the scenery.
The trail,
the snowmobiles came over today is also used as a jeeping trail during the
summer.
You start at the Vail Pass rest area and work your way all the way over here to
Red Cliff.
How are we going to check out inside? I think that's probably smart.
What are you guys enjoying? What'd you guys get?
I had the wingy dingys. And they were very dingy.
Amazing. You guys want to tell me what you got?
This is Bob and Lauren that we did not kidnap. Well,
we said we picked you up and then we had to make sure to clarify that we didn't
kidnap you.
Now we already made it clear that you weren't kidnapped.
And then I had onion rings and a little bit of fish.
Hey, real quick, explain to me what that green thing over the bar is.
Well, so there's a bridge where you come here, you like to race for it,
but there's a bridge and this is just like the bridge.
It's a curved bridge and it looks exactly like that.
Oh, snap.
Another bar. It's like a nice chill area.
Then I bet they hired a musician.
Bob and Lauren were telling us that normally at this time,
when there's snow, there's no way for us to get over here.
We're here in April and a lot of the snow has melted and it's a slower time for
the town.
But don't let that fool you just because there aren't a lot of people here
today. This place, Mangos Mountain Grill,
is still the place to come and warm up on an awesome snow adventure day.
That's the road you guys can't, it goes up in that way. It is so sketchy.
So many potholes, so much stuff.
I feel bad for the guy who has to drive that truck on it.
Maybe he came a different way, but he had to come that way. I feel very bad.
You know what? There's stairs out here. Why not just run up here real quick.
See what's up top. I think I heard of a rooftop hangout spot or something.
Oh, look at this. So I take it in the summer.
Up here is probably crazy jam packed. How cool is this?
There's a little better view. There you go. There's your tiny little,
tiny little town. All the snowmobiles, Mr. Bob and Ms. Lauren,
parked their snowmobiles. It's like these people, whenever they bring them over,
but the snow is just starting to fade.
So it's getting a bit harder to come over. I think like, look,
there's like barely any snow on that mountain.
Oh, that guy that just came over is so much braver than I will ever be.
So that green bridge thing over the bar, you saw
little sliver of it. You look right through there.
There you can see it right there.
Right there. You can see the car that just went over it. It's coming up.
This is amazing. Just keeps going.
Mangoes is super casual and super family friendly.
It has amazing food, but it has even better views.
Yeah. And it's so close to Breck. It's about a little over an hour.
And so it makes, it makes for a great day trip.
Actually you don't have to spend the whole day, just an afternoon trip.
So we went up through Vail and then came down to Red Cliff.
It was a little over an hour. And then when we left,
we actually took the Southern route and went down through Leadville and up
through Fairplay and back into a Breck. It took like 10 extra minutes,
but the food was great. It was so peaceful and serene today.
I know it's normally much busier, but I liked it the way that it was.
It was awesome. Kind of felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Right.
And it way easier to video. But anyhow,
I would go back and go back in a heartbeat.
It would be really fun to go back on a sunny day,
sit on that rooftop deck and just sit and take in all the views.
And one of these days I'm going to go buy a snowmobile.
I would love that. Yeah. I think we should do that one of these upcoming days.
That would be cool. You guys are going to have to stick around for that.
That could be another video. Give tiny towns a chance.
You never know what you'll find just like today. Hope you guys enjoyed.
Hope you have a great day. Make sure to like and subscribe.
We'll see you guys on the next adventure.
