does the um Senate chooses the president
and the House of Representatives choose
the vice
president oh that was so close that was
so close that was very CL got split flop
them yes it's okay yeah it's these are
tough questions it's actually the House
of Representatives elects the president
in that scenario and the Senate elects
the vice president but you made it all
the way to the end you want a lot of
money
Redemption American citizens have rights
and privileges that are protected by our
system of free government as Citizens it
is our responsibility to know understand
and participate in the system in in
which we
live citizenship describes the
relationship between an individual and
his or her
country the founding fathers were
influenced by ideas about citizenship
from ancient Greece and Rome they used
these ideas to establish the United
States as a republic which is a
representative democracy where all
citizens have equal legal and social
status an individual who has granted US
citizenship has in essence a deal with
the country they get certain rights
Privileges and protections that are
allotted to all US citizens in exchange
for Allegiance and responsibilities
toward the
country some of the benefits that US
citizens get to enjoy are freedom of
speech religion the right to a fair
trial and the right to
vote the founders believe that these
freedoms would best be protected in a
system of federalism which divides power
among three levels of government the
federal state and local levels this
division of power prevents any one level
from becoming too
powerful citizens can participate and
make their voices heard at each of these
levels through elections at the federal
level citizens play a big role in the
direction of the country when they vote
for the President and Vice
President they do not however vote
directly for the President and Vice
President which is a power reserved for
the Electoral College fun fact the 14
amendment guarantees that all persons
born in the US are citizens except those
born to a foreign Diplomat well Uncle
Sam unfortunately none of our
