The Castellows - Place They Call Home, Stage 12, College Station, Texas

This was a first! A fan got on stage to sing with the band - so cool!!!

I met the lucky fan, Texas A&M freshman Connor McCarthy before the show because he had his sign ready that said he wanted to play guitar on Place They Call Home. After some "interrogation" by Ellie double checking that he CAN play the song (can you blame her?), he got set up and did a great job. When he said he could sing Cleto Cordero's part in this song Powell offered Conner her mic but then the Tour Manager Spencer got him his own. He even used in-ear-monitors like a pro! Powell said she was impressed with his confidence. Bravo Connor!

The Castellows have played some of their collaborations songs solo in the past, with Lily taking on the gent's part too. So this was great that Connor stepped up to do the man's verses of Place They Call Home. I think Lily was so impressed with Connor at the end, listening to him sing, that she missed her part to come in by a bar - still all good live, spontaneous music though :)

Maybe this will become a tradition with more fans invited up to play Cleto's part at future shows? I'm going to practice this part :)
