🍁 Thanksgiving Reflections: Open the Door to Health and Happiness with a Grateful Heart
Thanksgiving is approaching, and it’s more than just a holiday for sending greetings—it’s a moment for spiritual healing.
The very first Thanksgiving originated in 17th-century America. At that time, the Pilgrims faced a harsh and challenging life in the New World, and it was thanks to the help of the Native Americans that they survived the cold winter. The following autumn, they prayed to God with hearts full of gratitude and shared the joy of the harvest with friends. This marks the origin of Thanksgiving. In fact, the power of gratitude isn’t limited to a particular country or a single holiday—it can extend into every aspect of our daily lives.
When we hold a grateful heart, appreciating heaven and earth, acknowledging God’s blessings, and being thankful for the benefactors in our lives, our body and mind are nourished with warmth and joy.
🌿 Gratitude to Heaven and God—All Things Have Spirit
The universe operates in perfect order. The sun, moon, and stars follow their paths, the seasons cycle endlessly, yin and yang alternate—all reflecting the cosmic laws set by God.
Spring brings birth, summer fosters growth, autumn yields harvest, and winter stores energy—this is not just the rhythm of nature but the pulse of life itself.
All things grow through sunlight, rain, soil, and human effort. Even the grains, fruits, vegetables, and fish we eat daily are gifts of nature, provided according to the seasons. Eating according to the seasons and nurturing the body with what’s appropriate is humanity’s oldest dietary therapy.
Though it may seem ordinary, it is actually precise and orderly, filled with the wisdom and compassion of the universe.
God created heaven, earth, and humans, providing all things so that people could live without worry and nourish both body and mind. God gave humans reason and virtue, hoping we would live with kindness, integrity, and gratitude, following the ways of heaven and respecting the world.
When humans stray from moral principles, as illustrated in the Bible with Adam eating the forbidden fruit and being expelled from Eden, it symbolizes the loss of harmony and original innocence.
Only by returning to the cosmic principles of harmony between heaven and humans and following the way of nature, and by living in gratitude for God’s creation, can people truly achieve peace, wellness, and happiness.
Those who understand how to be grateful to heaven and God can feel the miracle of life in every breath and find inner peace in the rhythm of nature. When the heart resonates with the universe, and the spirit harmonizes with heaven and earth, this is the highest level of health cultivation—“rooted in gratitude, guided by the Way.” ...
