EarthRoamer SX Full Tour: Layout, Interior & Exterior Features

We're Jacob and Alyssa. We live full time in our Earth Roamer LTS. And today we're here at Earth Roamer HQ and we're going to show you this SX. Each Earth Roamer is customized uniquely for the owner. So let's go check out this one and see what makes it different. Every SX just feels so giant and spacious to me. It feels like you're really like living in a tiny home. I mean, honestly, like look how big this countertop is. This thing is huge. It is like a full on kitchen. This butcher block cutting board is so pretty. And then it actually lifts up and you can move it to access the induction cooktop. This model has free induction cooktop. So like, honestly, you could do a full blown like big meal here with a ton of different stuff going. This thing is not light. Honestly, like there's no way. This is going to like rattle around or fly around as you drive. I love this backsplash. It looks like a metal, like the etched end of the mountain range here. That's really pretty. And then in this model, they decided to mount this Nespresso machine right here against the wall. So it's all this just kind of there instead of having it in some sort of cabinet. This kitchen has so much upper cabinetry space up here. Like these are so deep and look, I mean, you can fit like this giant mixing bowl in here. Like that's how deep these things are. I love that. That's so convenient. The last upper cabinet has all of our dishware. Earthroamer is really thoughtful about making sure that you can have like the luxury of real dishes while you're on the road, but making sure that nothing actually breaks. So each one has its own special little slot pulls out. You can have real ceramic stuff and then it just pops back in. So you've got plates, bowls, glasses, all of it. I feel like another big advantage of the bigger SX is how giant this sink is. This is really awesome. I love the matte black finishes on here just like any kitchen sink at your home. You've got a soap pump, a pull down spray. And then this one has a like special drinking water filter with hot and cold water. And they have two outlets right here underneath the cabinets. So you could like pull out your toaster and like plug your toaster right in here. Okay. So underneath the sink here, you've got this whole cabinet, which is your trash can, your little sweeper broom. And I think the most special part is all of the sink inserts down here. You can pull these out and they just fit perfectly in there. So you can just like add whatever type of insert you want. Oh my gosh, look at this. This is cool. Now for drawers, this one is optioned with four just down here. This first one is just for like some things. And now the second one, I think is really cool because this is what has your cutlery and your knives, just like the glasses and the dishware, all of the forks and knives and things have their own special little slots. And so you pop them out and pop them right back in again, and they don't rattle around as you drive. And then this whole thing pushes back and you get your knife block set in here too, with these beautiful, like custom earthroamer knives. The bottom two drawers down here, this one empty just for kitchen stuff. And then the last one has all the fancy pots and pans. This special earthroamer set actually has, oh gosh, is it like, I think nine different pots, pans, lids, everything tucked into this tiny little cabinet and it's strapped down. So nothing rattles. This giant cabinet is just one huge pantry. Both of these slide out and they're so deep. You could fit so much food in here. Now the last piece of your kitchen here actually has something I think is pretty special to the SX. It is a washer dryer combo. The fact that you can fit an entire machine in here is pretty incredible. It's not particularly huge. I'd say if it's like maybe like a half load of what our at home washer actually fits. And I've heard from some people that this actually takes maybe twice as long as your traditional washer dryer. But the fact that you get a washer dryer in a mobile off-grid unit like this, I think that's really awesome. Down here, right by the entry steps, we have the button for the steps. So they will stay out and not dependent on if the door is open or closed. We have awning controls and then exterior lighting. Up here, we've got controls for all the lights, the overhead cabinet, and the indirect. You can control them separately depending on what kind of mood you're feeling in. Separate from all the overhead lights is this under cabinet LED light too. The fridge freezer is standard on all earth warmers. It's actually pretty big and holds a number of items. Same with the freezer. And then this microwave here is actually an air fire microwave convection oven combo. Never use one of these as I couldn't tell you how well it works as all three. If you have drop a comment, let us know. This whole section is storage. The top part is a little closet. You've got a hanging bar up here and then a mirror all the way here and your closet. You also have a outlet in here. So if you like wanted to store some other like electronics in here, you could easily plug them in and have them charge in your closet as you go. And then there's four more drawers here. And each of these are so incredibly long. So you could fit a ton of clothes here. If you're thoughtful about how you store them in here, this drawer down here is really just electronics and stuff, but there are two drawers on each side of this under the table here that you can store a bunch of other things too. There's another control panel for lights for the dinette and the galley. And then you have up and down on the table. So this whole thing can be adjusted to the exact height that you like to work. This whole table swivels to the side, which allows you to like step up and scooch in to the dinette area. Honestly, this space is gigantic. I mean, you can truly like lounge here. And this table is huge if you're going to eat with a group of people or work remotely, there's also outlets back here on each side. So you can plug in and work on your computers back here. The really nice thing about this back part is you get windows on all three sides. So you really get to feel like the outside is coming in the glass windows here also have bug screens and you can pull up for blackout shades as well. And there's really not just one bed in the earth room where this whole spot converts into another California King size bed. So this is actually pretty comfortable in a really large space underneath the back cushions on the bench. It's another large storage area too. I think the bathroom and the SX is really what sets it apart from the other earth room remodels. The back of the door has two really sturdy big hooks so it makes it easy to hang a bunch of things on here. Then the inside is both your bathroom and your shower and they're separate areas. It's not a wet bath, which honestly is a really lovely feature and could be worth the extra five feet that the SX has over the other earth room remodels. There's a wooden cover that goes over the toilet and then it just flips up like this and you have your cassette toilet right below. There's also two more hooks in here, which makes the bathroom have a lot of different configurations for how you want to hang things up. And the best part I think is this upper cabinet is so big. So you can store a ton of stuff in here because the SX is literally so tall. There's no way I'd ever be able to like reach up and turn the fan on manually. So there is a bath fan switch and a bathroom light switch. You've got toilet paper roll here, another little hook, and then your mirror, which doesn't open. It's not a medicine cabinet or anything like that. And then little tiny sink. It's so cute. I love it. And then underneath the sink you also have a bunch of extra storage all the way down here and an outlet right in the bathroom. So you can sit here, plug in your blow dryer and just blow dry your hair. And now for the whole separate shower area. This is glass shower wall. Inside you have a rain fall shower head. And then the other one is you still have this like removable shower head that you can use. And then of course, earthworm thinks of everything. So a little basket to hold all your shampoo conditioner. And then there's even a little tiny shelf in here, which extends from the sink on the other side. So you could put a few things here as well when you're showering. There's also your clothesline that goes across the shower. Only downside about this is that the clothesline is pretty short. You probably really only be able to hang one or two things from it. Yes, I do, which is pretty impressive since I'm six, five, and I still have a decent amount of headroom above my head to the shower head here by the entry door. And the bed is to open storage shelving units and then two drawers, which are perfect for things like shoes. All the earth over systems can be monitored up here from this digital touchscreen panel. It controls lights, AC locking in the car, everything you need to know how much water you have all right here on your panels. And then right next to it, you have your ghost security camera system, which has all four sides of the vehicle. You can see what's going on outside to get up into the bed because it is pretty tall. We've got a ladder that pulls all the way out. And then you can just climb on up. The California King bed up here has a beautiful skylight that goes up to the roof windows on all the sides and side, like little end tables essentially with wireless charging and some plugs. So you don't have to get out of bed. Once you're all cozy, you have a touchscreen control panel here, which allows you to monitor all the systems, lock the car, turn off the lights, everything you need to do right from bed. The fact that this has a pass through is really lovely as well. So if you don't want to walk all the way outside the car, you can just crawl on through because this part of the earth is so much better insulated. It's really nice to be able to close these when you are running like the AC and it just seals up this whole part. The earth Roemer SX is 34 feet long. The body is made out of carbon fiber. The SX has a lot more capacity than the LTI and now the LTX, which is the big advantage of going with the bigger truck. So it has a hundred gallons of diesel capacity, which is five gallons more than the LTI LTX. The fresh water capacity on this is 120 gallons, which is 20 gallons more than the LTI and LTX. And then the gray water is 55 gallons, which is 15 gallons more than the LTI and LTX. There is extra storage right here, which is super handy. There's a button on the inside that you push and pops the drawer open. So you have this on both sides, giving you extra capacity outside. Inside the cab is just a standard Chevy interior. What you expect to find in any high-end Chevy truck. There are a couple custom modifications earth Roemer's made. There's a custom switch panel on the ceiling and then the onboard air system controller. So you can level out and adjust the suspension of the truck to level yourself account. So upfront you have a custom bumper that earth Roemer designed and manufactures in house. And then you have a lot of Baja designs lights for off-road lighting. And then you have a worn 16 and a half thousand pound winch with a factor of 55 flat hook. The SX has the Michelin X-Force tires, which are 43 inch tires and they are M plus S and M plus no rated as well. So in the rear, there's this insulated storage garage, just super handy. And what's nice is the whole thing's on a drawer slide. So you can slide out all your gear for easy access and it locks in place a couple of times. And then you have a couple outlets on the inside and then you have your jack as well on the rear. There is a storage box and they could be configured a few different ways. So you can have a left empty or you have three different barbecue options. So there is a standard propane barbecue, a Blackstone or a Traeger grill, and the whole thing slides out. And then you have your Traeger, which is just on the latches there right here. So depending on the configuration you set up, we'll determine the kind of storage solution and boxes that are in the back here. So the spare tire is mounted on the back for easy access if you have to change it. And then on the front, there are four Maxtrax boards if you find yourself in a recovery situation. In the rear, there's a second worn winch with another factor of 55 flat hook, and then Baja designs lighting. So you can have a little additional lighting when you're trying to back up.
