Diving with oceanic whitetip sharks and tiger sharks at Elphinstone reef in Marsa Alam - a great experience.
Sharks fascinate some people, but also frighten many. For those who find them fascinating,
the Maldives is the place to be. They are not the human killers that Hollywood likes to portray
them to be. Nevertheless, some species, such as the tiger shark and bull shark,
become potentially dangerous to humans in the water when they are over two meters long.
At the end of 2024, a tiger shark attacked an Asian diver in the Maldives.
He was very lucky to survive.
The island of tiger sharks. The journey takes you by plane to Malai,
surprisingly, in the area of the take-off and landing zone of the international airport
and marina in Malai. You can encounter large and potentially dangerous species
such as the tiger shark, bull shark and great hammerhead shark.
From there, the journey continues along the central atolls of the Maldives on a diving safari boat.
