The Lumix S1 series cameras are powerful tools that can fit into your workflow.
But today we're going to be covering the main differences and similarities between them,
so you can make an informed decision on which one is best for you.
While there's slight differences between the three models,
each one's designed to fit seamlessly into your workflow.
Starting off with the key differences on the Lumix S1 Mark IIe is that it has a 24.2 megapixel 6k
sensor. You're capturing similar Lumix color science and intuitive controls that the other
two models both offer. The key highlight feature of this camera and the S1 Mark IIe
is they both have CinemaScope or 2.4 by 1 aspect ratio.
Next we have the Lumix S1 Mark IIe and it has a partially stacked 6k 24.1 megapixel sensor.
It's known for its speed and its powerful video capabilities like being able to shoot in 6k
open gate. But what makes it uniquely special is its ability to shoot in 5.1k open gate up to 60fps.
It also offers you the dynamic range boost mode that offers you up to 15 stops of dynamic range.
Lastly, the main difference on the Lumix S1 Mark IIe is its 44.3 megapixel sensor.
This allows you to capture higher resolution images even when using the high resolution
picture mode and up to 8.1k open gate for video. It also offers a dynamic range expansion mode
which will add a slight boost to overall dynamic range. Note that this is slightly different from
the dynamic range boost offered on the Lumix S1 Mark II. There may be some slight differences
in recording qualities and burst settings available on the Lumix S1R Mark II that may
or may not be available on the other S1 series cameras so keep that in mind. For the rest of
these videos we may be using different S1 series cameras but know that most of these features and
settings will be available no matter which camera you choose.
